Maine is was a wonderful expansion. Really loved how they did it (minus the non-repairable bridge at the sawmill). Then again there are still lots of quality improvements we could use: clearing rocks from roads, fixing bridges, fixing the stuttering, destroying your truck's front end on a small stick, etc.
I hate the unrepairable bridges and unremovable rock slides in this DLC. Why not add a job to fix these? They are just an annoyance to make you use a longer detour which you have to drive over and over because they placed them at important roads. Thankfully there are mods like RNGs mobile bridge to fix things like these.
It makes no sense either how you can use the log crane to move trailers about or flip trucks back over, but can't seem to move even smaller rocks or laying trees.

All in all I love this game series and have been playing nonstop for about 4 months and I'm only on Flooded Foothills map. One thing I would like the developers to include is more progression missions. What I mean is, instead of just delivering some consumables to Ben at his tribe called cars cabin, I would like to see something gained by that mission that affects gameplay. Maybe once you deliver something to a place, then that place can be used for something. For instance, when you deliver metal beams to a bridge, then the bridge opens and now the route is available. Also, I like how you have to open the garage by doing things first. I wish there was more of that in the gameplay. It gives more incentive to doing a task if I know there is more than just cash and exp points for doing it. Maybe they could tie in the upgrades with tasks, instead of just finding them on a map. Keep these videos coming as I find them very useful and listening to your commentary is better than videos with just background muzak and some text here and there.
I would enjoy Hauling the half of a house. Very wide load, small tires on the trailer and often needing a truck pulling a truck with the trailer (Like in real life). Really big trailers give you the most satisfaction when they are taken to their destination

I almost 100%ed Maine now, and I liked most of it except for the “mysterious monoliths” contest (I don’t like the contests anyway). It’s almost impossible to complete that with a vanilla scout and fit the requirements: - use a scout, else the trailer wont fit - at night - visit all monoliths - bring back the trailer - and do it all before dawn or else you’ll get the “failed: time’s up” message and have to do it all over again 🤬 I believe that it is impossible to get the bronze medal for that because it gets dawn long before you reach the bronze time limit. So it’s a game design flaw imho and takes out the fun of playing this otherwise lovely game.
What mod truck are you driving at 1:07 in the video? I play on PS4 and haven't seen that one. Those heavy duty ramps on the back look incredibly useful. I'm assuming this is the PC version? That is probably why I haven't seen it on my mod list before.

@@smackers99 That's odd, although some trucks do slide a bit before they end up tipping upright. Sometimes you have to drag it to a slight hill or against another object to help. I love that they’re making easier/less grindy maps, but the vehicle selection seems pretty lame. I really want to see either a super easy map with only console trot underpowered vehicles, or a decently tough map with completely overpowered vehicles.
Lol...fun video...but I live in Maine, and guess what. In Northern Maine, this is exactly what the back areas look like. Not so much the coastline though. I just need Snow Runner to add a few things. Like manual saves. For the love of God the game saves every 20 seconds or so. Or sometimes it seems like its saving because I made a left or attached a trailer. Stop Saving. I'll do it. For God Sake man let me save it. Stop being a DJ and plaing Sir Mix a Lot with my storage drive. The saving makes my PC have a stroke for like 20 seconds. The FPS drops to like 1 or 2 FPS for 20 seconds. IT sucks. Works perfectly fine till it gotta save my progress. And it saves a freaking lot. Also I need more camera control cause I want to look around my truck as if I got out and examine my route. When I off road I get out a lot if I don't know the trail like the back of my hand. The map is not a secret. Let me look around my vehicle at least 1000 or 2000 feet. I also would like the ability to interact with a trailer even when a truck is not attached to it. Why would this help me? Because I tipped over in an 8x8 pulling a trailer. I disconnected the trailer so that the trailer would not tip over with my truck. But as I sat there gently laying on the ground with a trailer directly behind me I realized something. The trailer I was pulling has a Chevy C70 packed on it. Its just looking at me while I lay on my side. It does not even need to get off the trailer to flip me back over. But I can't get in the truck because its packed and I can't unpack it because there is not a truck connected to it. So I can't get in my C70 that I have packed on a trailer directly behind my tipped 8x8. I have to open the map and select the garage and then magically appear at the garage then select a 3rd truck to recover the 1st truck with because I can't unpack and get in the 2nd truck. I was pretty shocked when they had no manual transmission and I felt I was conned when I got this jump rope length winch. Do they even sell vehicle winches this short and weak? The winch on my Jeep Commander can pull 25,000 pounds with 12 volts from a 5 year old used Walmart battery and a single motor cause with a second motor I could move 50,000 pounds. I can't anchor that much weight with a Jeep Commander but the winch can handle it. But not being able to unpack my truck from the trailer because there was no truck attached to the trailer was pretty shocking. That specific thing I feel was overlooked. You should totally be able to interact with a trailer even when no truck is attached to it.
The game is great but I feel there's so much untapped potential to explore with different missions. Like Teardown, they barely scrape the surface of what their engine and game can do by always sticking to the same kinds of missions and gameplay. It could be a fantastic playground, kinda like horizon. But with proper offroading physics ! But I guess their resources are limited, especially now that they have the Dakar licence. I hope this one will be good.
Totally agree, the world and stuff within it are great. But it makes us all want a bit more meat to it! Would be curious to see what happens with Dakar, the last game wasn't great. Bit empty and dull.
@@ATribeCalledCars yeah the last game was a disappointment, that's why I was happy to see saber got the license. I'm french, it's a race dear to my heart. But lets wait for some gameplay before being enthusiastic
After playing Lake Kovd and Amur this map is child's play. A nice change of pace. However in the end those two maps are my favorite because they kicked the ever living crap out of me.
That 1 time when you realize console players didnt get mods until much later then you start to realize whoever got all achievements before console mods were added everything after really was/is childs play
My issue with this game is that it gets more and more grindy with each release it was a grind before but it was relaxing now it's not a game it's a stressful lifestyle choice because it literally takes so long to complete the smallest things you complete 1 mission and you are done with the game for awhile the mud gets less like mud and more like glue with each release as well it takes hours and hours just to use the garage which is absurd I feel like I'm being punished for something I didn't even do this game has died and potential new players to the franchise are pushed away due to the absurd grinding
You need to repair the garage, complete the task with repair as a reward. Or jump to another map and leave and recover at a garage in another map then jump back until you can repair the garage.
Wanna know a secret? I have mainely used the TwiceTwinSteer in the beginning to get the garage up and I haven't tipped it even once. This was even a surprise to me! 😁😎👍
What frame rate are you getting? I used to get 60 fps (limit), but in phase 6 I get 10-40 fps on AMD RX 6800 XT, any other game runs perfectly fine, snow runner was fine, but at some point became unplayable.
60fps almost consistently when recording on OBS, but I did drop to 2x. 4x really kills the frame rate for me and at 4K it's not a big difference to my ageing eyes anyway.
Really wasn't a fan of the bridges and rocks that couldn't be repaired. It just felt very artificially difficult, like they were trying to outdo Kola Peninsula but not in any fun or unique way. As it stands, it doesn't make the map any more difficult, just a hell of a lot more annoying.
They broke a ton of graphic stuff with this update, and knowing these devs this stuff wont get fixed for years (if ever). They are lazy and incompetent.
@@ATribeCalledCars Well maybe Imandra is the worst. But what's wrong with Amur? "Northern Aegis Installation" is painful but other maps are playable, especially Chernokamensk.
@@ATribeCalledCars What about left side of the Lowland? At the first time you can get there only through Yellowrock and fix a lot of stuff while trying to get there. And what about crafting beams at Yellowrock? The route is aweful and long. At Urska it's short at least

OK God your alive I thought COVID got you.
Please review more reigons
After playing Lake Kovd and Amur this map is child's play. A nice change of pace. However in the end those two maps are my favorite because they kicked the ever living crap out of me.
That 1 time when you realize console players didnt get mods until much later then you start to realize whoever got all achievements before console mods were added everything after really was/is childs play
@@ernestochang1744 Yeah I haven't used any mods maybe that's why it was super difficult.
I didn't even know they announced phase 6
Yep, and Phase 7 probably isn't a million miles away.
Are there any updates on next gen version? I'm kind of running out of patience with that. I'm all ears let me hear......
Sadly not, I'll sing from the hills when I hear more. Or just make a video. One of the two.
Which Twinsteer Mod is he using? looks so nice.
714WM, I think maybe I put a link in the description. If not, search on mod.io or in game.
Sir what is the name of the mod truck you use in the beginning of the video ?
So far season 2 has been good............. except Maine it’s to scary. By the way Maine is the setting of most of Stephen Kings works.
Well I know some of his books and films but not enough to remember this, good to know. Definitely a scary vibe to the portrayal in SnowRunner...
No not really but ok
Hi I'm a new player but don't know how to repair any tips
You need to repair the garage, complete the task with repair as a reward. Or jump to another map and leave and recover at a garage in another map then jump back until you can repair the garage.
Start the reviewing the first map. Michigan.
Wanna know a secret? I have mainely used the TwiceTwinSteer in the beginning to get the garage up and I haven't tipped it even once. This was even a surprise to me! 😁😎👍
Well you, sir, are a professional. I managed to flip it over in my ten best trucks for Maine video (coming soon!). Good times.
Now we know⭐️
Great vid want more
we need next gen update or 60fps patch
Yes I agree, would be great.
@@ATribeCalledCars needs to happen
I've been out of snowrunner for a couple months now, is the next gen update released yet?
Sadly not, all quiet on the waterfront. I'd expect to hear something soon but maybe I'm just optimistic.
@@ATribeCalledCars Thanks for the info! Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
Same to you! Hope it's a good one.
I live in Maine ….nothing like this bruh 😂😂
Lol don't tell the developers.
Worst to Best Regions pls
My mod menue is broken i cant downloaod New mods and I cant remove the mods i have.
Might have to restart the game and at worst reinstall :(
Amur made me a masochist.
Hey guys its normal snowrunner says autologin failed what does mean that
Could be related to mods? Uses mod.io service for that
Thanks
Can you use a logitech g920 yet? *sigh*
This game needs good improvement on multiplayer
Wifeee is preg at the moment its a girl and I'm naming her Imandra
Haha let me know if you actually do.
@@ATribeCalledCars yup I'm serious
@@themeditteranian8365 Well it does have a ring to it, kind of a Greek god vibe or something. I wish you all the best for the future!
Even if it's the name of a map that makes you cry, it is a wonderful name.
Goodluck to you and your wife!
@@lamarr51 thanks bro I really like how it sounds as a name for a girl I've been trying to find out it's meaning
I know this is a year late but imm from new england and the roads can definetly be this bad
I think it's definitely better if most or all bridges are repairable. At least Maine isn't so bad to go round. The ones in Amur were tedious.
Yoooooooooooo
Seems like they lost ideas for the last dlc. The maps are good but not so different from the other
Zikes 605r is king taga bye bye azove 64312;
They broke a ton of graphic stuff with this update, and knowing these devs this stuff wont get fixed for years (if ever). They are lazy and incompetent.
The creators of Maine are sadists, and the players are masochists, perfect harmony in pleasure and pain. This is a brutal map.
Worst map of the game so far. It was designed, tested and approved by sick bastards
Worse than Amur and Imandra?!
@@ATribeCalledCars Well maybe Imandra is the worst. But what's wrong with Amur? "Northern Aegis Installation" is painful but other maps are playable, especially Chernokamensk.
@@summator Even the first map is tough, just getting the metal beams is far harder than anything Maine can throw at you.
@@ATribeCalledCars What about left side of the Lowland? At the first time you can get there only through Yellowrock and fix a lot of stuff while trying to get there.
And what about crafting beams at Yellowrock? The route is aweful and long. At Urska it's short at least
@@summator I guess it's different play styles, Amur took me hours in comparison.
