I enjoyed this video so much more than the whole s5 combined. Thank you so much for making this. It captures the essence of the show & why I enjoyed watching Supergirl to begin with: - the Danvers sisters relationship - Kara's POV - Karamel (of cos, no one can deny their chemistry) Everything which S5 wasn't. Tbh, Lena's reaction to Kara being Supergirl is highly unrealistic. Would she feel slightly betrayed by Kara? Yes. But would she go to the extent as how the writers made Lena to be in S5? I doubt it. Despite being a Luthor, the reason why I enjoy Kara's friendship with Lena is because she is not only realistic and logical, but she empathises people better (due to her childhood). And so, I think she wouldn't have reacted that way and be able to understand why Kara did what she did (though I do believe that Kara should've just revealed her identity to Lena on the plane despite w.e Eve had done prior)
In the adults scene when Alex is saying to her that she can't protect her, and coming down on her for saving her own life; all Kara need say is that she's indestructible, and that Alex is going to be safe either way- but for Kara's own safety, specifically from a gangster spirit that her colleagues met in the Crisis event where the multiverse was being wiped out by an antimatter wave; some of her colleagues went to make a deal with the devil; for her own safety from *that* entity, tis best for her to practice infinite self-control, or risk being swallowed up by that Red Tsar's influence; and it, like all dictators, take *special care* to eradicate any and all possible resistance to their power. What can enable someone to resist that mobster seraphim? That's virtue, and that entity takes special care to eradicate that in any soul it assaults and overruns.
