Love every video you made of them. So cinematic like with the music you choose😍 makes one feel in the moment you know. And the colouring you use is insanely amazing!
Now, what Alex said in one episode is that she found it even better that her stepsister is an outer-space alien, but sometimes it must've been and was frustrating to her, as well as embarrassing to her all the mistakes her kid sister made. In regard to Kara, she's clearly got PTSD for a while, one thing that sets it off is small enclosed spaces, or being therein, and apparently explosions; because that'd bring back the memories of her planet blowing up, which she saw, and that event would give any teenager some serious PTSD for many years, if not for the person's entire remaining lifespan yet! Now their cousin, Clark, is not effected by it, because he was so young he couldn't remember the near extinction of their people, so he basically would equate himself with his new homeworld's population in a nutshell- one reason why Myriad worked on him it seems.
100% I definitely think it made things more difficult, the cultural differences, the fact that as a teenager Kara stood out as being 'weird' to other kids meaning Alex had to deal with the fallout of that in terms of what her friends thought etc etc. Oh yea I definitely agree 100% PTSD she has flashbacks, panic attacks, gets triggered by things and is afraid of enclosed spaces, as you've mentioned explosions, issues with anger, depression & severe abandonment issues! Yesss I've always said he's basically a human stepping into a Kryptonians shoes, whereas Kara's a Kryptonian trying to do the opposite and make herself more 'human'
@@SarahMcCormick95 Aside from the points we previously discussed in previous comments in this chit-chat, considering her PTSD damage, is she really fit to serve in what amounts to a form of a militia of all things- would you trust her with a firearm considering her inner damage on the psychological level, pray tell, if you knew of it? I'd have my doubts- as the primary rule with military service is you only allow someone to have access to a firearm or other weapon if you absolutely *know* beforehand where they'll point it, especially a loaded one. I love this video, but considering how much the near extinction of her people would've damaged her, and for many years afterward she has severe psychological problems that come up periodically that can, will, and do disable her utterly and completely from time to time, do you really think the show's writers were truly competent about the service conditions for what amount to military service? I have to admit, I have my doubts; I don't have panic attacks due to PTSD, but due to my own past medical history, I'm rated 4F I'm certain in the US draft system, and it's not due to *physical* disabilities; which means I'm precisely *forbidden* to serve in the military, and its not due either to being inept at understanding things comprehension-wise, I can tell you. I do not think the show's writers did much research on what amounts to the entry requirements for military service in regard to what kinds of people they'll even *permit* to apply to serve their country in that way and branch of service; that is borderline incompetence at how someone is excluded from being even allowed to apply to serve due to health reasons- her mental health is comprimised due to her psychological trauma she's suffered.
By the way, I can imagine their class watching a showing of one of the movies of "War of the Worlds", and the concept discussion between Kara and Alexandra later on, say the evening, especially if Alex is holding her that evening, or if say Kara overestimated her ability to handle such a film, and gave herself a good degree of a fright.
yess! i can imagine that would be difficult in the same way watching doctor who would, considering he's from a destroyed planet called galifrey, i'd be curious how she'd have dealt with popular things like that.
@@SarahMcCormick95 Or, maybe she might sort of intellectually bond with him as a Whovian would, as his intrinsic strength in dealing with that cross might aid her too... but the thing about War of the Worlds *would* likely give her a rerun of PTSD episode set, likely getting her some degree of psychatric/psychological counseling to cope with the near-extinction of her people, and let's not forget the film "Independence Day", the original, or possibly the sequel- as mass-destruction would do it to her. I can clearly see her badly upset often due to the psychological damage that occurred with the near extinction of her people and her long voyage to a foreign land, what with Alexandra constantly and unknowingly insisting on the two of them watching horror films as teenagers. Oh, and on the topic of horror films, I kind of need to stay away from *that* kind of entertainment for the time being at least- too much studying of the Reds and their antics in the old USSR era; trust me, just about anything is light and fluffy compared to that- and that includes light horror stories, including vampire ones and other mythology is something that pales in comparison to *that* dark red nightmare that almost encompassed the globe in a materialistic and totalitarian world view. Had it come to pass, today I'd likely either be long dead, or living in a gulag as a political prisoner- knowing what I know of them and their methods; I'd have been subjected to horrendous torture too, come to think of it.
