Honestly, I don't understand Lena's "sudden" hatred. I know she has already said that Kara is the only person she trusts too much and having this betrayal is not easy to swallow, but she says she "wants to help humanity" but she is only showing grudge. Instead of her using the Supergirl, maintaining a false friendship, she could talk to Kara and talk about her distress and distrust, and forgive her for once, not for Kara, but for herself.
I think it’s just the large amount of betrayal she felt. Everyone else knew. Everyone kept it from her. Lena has proved time after time after time that she was good and that she was trustworthy, but still nobody ever told her. She had been betrayed and lied to so many times in her life. Her trust was hard to earn and she gave that trust to Kara. Even though Kara had good reason to keep it from her, sometimes it’s hard for a person to accept, especially when they feel hurt, it’s hard to see reason. You’re just seeing red and that’s all.
I believe she has already forgiven kara..but..now that she has forgiven doesn't mean that she will believe in every supergirl ideal..like all the super friends do..she is lena luthor..she can do anything to protect the ones she cares about( that still now includes kara and by extension her friends ) whether supergirl likes it or not..the thing that has changed though is..lena will not open up to kara..at least not soon..that hurts...and that is what gives so much complexity and beauty to her character and their friendship..because lena will come to know later that kara may get angry and all when lena does something morally doubtful..she never really has judged lena for being a luthor..
Thank you! Well we considered Lena a big part of Kara keeping part of her alien identity quiet and her reveal was bigger than most of the others. So it tied in quite nicely.

Kim Jansen Kim Jansen We have a lot of external hard drives to hold all of our media. I mean we buy the season as they release on iTunes and they we rip our Blu-Rays of the season when they come out. Those files are much larger, around 6GB per episode, so they do take up a lot of storage, we we have a few 2TB hard drives and two 4TB, not all for Supergirl of course, our other media too. We just kind of learn where certain things are, take note with each new episode what we may like to use and such. So we do edit with whole episodes.

Oh, quite true: our character is defined by what we do. I couldn't have made that argument better than this show did. Now, why did Kara lie to her best friend, as she thinks of her? That is because she thought that Lena would hurt her if she knew... mayn't have been physically, but there are many ways to hurt someone.
I can see her admitting that she would naturally tend towards arrogance; for when you're gifted to that degree and accomplish so much, it is natural that a degree of egotism and thus narcissism tends to get in in the process- that trait is very good infiltrators, a kind of pirate corporations that are very good at sneaking in and setting up camp or businesses inside your region. It's natural that "Count Iblis" would send in such pirate agencies to infiltrate such a person and inflate their ego... so if she's *wise*, she'll take steps to counter that trait inside her heart as soon as she realizes that trait is there inside her, if indeed it is inside her. If not aware on her part, then she's protected to some degree, be it not by her own consent she's not aware, if she is aware of it and supports it, or willingly unaware, then culpability is in her for that trait, at least regarding defending her soul from that primordial crime lord, as another concept of the being we think of as the devil is validly to the thought of: a criminal mastermind.
Dude, Kara is a fictional alien from a different planet with a completely different religious system. Kryptonians believe in their sun God, Rao. She wouldn't be bothered by your God at all or the mortal perils of man.

Also, I'd argue to her about the universality of evil, and that problem, especially amongst many different non-connected societies in almost all corners of existence... also science: as science is not at all precluding the idea of totally nonphysical entities that'd be totally alien to both her and ourselves. I very much disagree, her adoptive family is of our species, and I do *NOT* think she'd want to suddenly become an only child, or an orphan again, even a partial one; her daddy running away would've destroyed her, emotionally-speaking, even her adoptive one; and she makes that clear, so either Lena's brother Lex is right and Kryptonians really are scum who've got to be eradicated, or she really does concern herself with man's problems. Also, that wicked spirit I referenced: he'd not so much want them *killed* immediately as her sister to be lost to Hell, and *then* killed; a far nastier ending altogether- that seraph is a sadistic dictator and crime-lord to a degree that makes petty human dictators pale in comparision. Also, her stepsister, yes, her human one, clarifies to her that she fights the most dangerous and evil people, and likely beings too, on this planet; that old serpent makes all of them pale in comparison. I know well she's fictional, never said she wasn't, nor that she doesn't have her background or beliefs; just that her beliefs mightn't match up with reality; a vital trait for us all, come to think of it: to check our beliefs to find out if indeed they do match reality. That said, scientific reality is verifiable, and its from there we can start, but we also know sciences like psychology deal with things that without totally nonphysical involvement do not add up. All that said, I am well aware of it being a story, but often its via stories that things are sorted out. Also, if someone does not believe in the Deity as He is, it doesn't deny His existence, it merely means that the person in question has to check his beliefs to find out if indeed he's correct; if not, to change till he does get it right, and it most certainly doesn't impact said Deity's beliefs, only said man's. That said, that deals with science only, something she herself would indeed grasp, if only as a soft-science. You are spot-on correct in that she's fictional, but fictional things make for excellent target practice *before* living men (humans) actually get hurt.

Another way this'd be vital, be it if she is convinced by now or not of any human belief system, is that there are a type of "nonphysical dictators" that periodically intervene in human affairs; kind of like that 5th dimensional imp who tried to blackmail Kara into matrimony (what'd amount to a form of rape: marriage at a death-threat totally removes the consent of the partner who's either themself under threat of death or their friend, which basically means that Mike and Lena were almost violated in the same manner: marriage at weapon-point is a form of basically nonpersonal sexual assault, as mating is the marital act), in short, blackmail matrimony is basically an act of attempted sexual assault, but that aside, there're monsters far worse than Mixy, as he might be nicknamed, out there, and I'd not want to run across them. For their former dictator, now deposed and in exile for his attempt to overrun their religious beliefs, think of every single tyrant in world history, and multiply that by the number of tyrants in both world history and literature at least, and you refine that mixture by each one's immoral tendencies, and you get a clear glimpse of what that monster is... the same monster that was giving Reign (Samantha Arias- and they did a masterful job of an "inquisition" story arc with her as a witch who wants to break free of the hold of a demon too) and her coven their powers that exceeded her own, and multiplying their malice towards their neighbors. Why else did Sam want to murder her daughter, and thus be so divided on the issue, which she clearly was? In short, yes, we were in disagreement: why? We're two different people, and whenever two people come into contact, there is difference of opinion that happens.

Oh, quite true: our character is defined by what we do. I couldn't have made that argument better than this show did. Now, why did Kara lie to her best friend, as she thinks of her? That is because she thought that Lena would hurt her if she knew... mayn't have been physically, but there are many ways to hurt someone.

I can see her admitting that she would naturally tend towards arrogance; for when you're gifted to that degree and accomplish so much, it is natural that a degree of egotism and thus narcissism tends to get in in the process- that trait is very good infiltrators, a kind of pirate corporations that are very good at sneaking in and setting up camp or businesses inside your region. It's natural that "Count Iblis" would send in such pirate agencies to infiltrate such a person and inflate their ego... so if she's *wise*, she'll take steps to counter that trait inside her heart as soon as she realizes that trait is there inside her, if indeed it is inside her. If not aware on her part, then she's protected to some degree, be it not by her own consent she's not aware, if she is aware of it and supports it, or willingly unaware, then culpability is in her for that trait, at least regarding defending her soul from that primordial crime lord, as another concept of the being we think of as the devil is validly to the thought of: a criminal mastermind.
Dude, Kara is a fictional alien from a different planet with a completely different religious system. Kryptonians believe in their sun God, Rao. She wouldn't be bothered by your God at all or the mortal perils of man.
@@ItsATwinThingYT Yes, all of those points are factually true... here's the problem, and it's not so much a *belief* problem as it is a *universal* problem to consider: the requirement of a single uncaused Cause to get the whole ball rolling.
But here's the beauty: it's to be resolved by discussion, not violence- violence undoes the gains of discussion and almost all gains in the moral order.
Also, I'd argue to her about the universality of evil, and that problem, especially amongst many different non-connected societies in almost all corners of existence... also science: as science is not at all precluding the idea of totally nonphysical entities that'd be totally alien to both her and ourselves.
She's not concerned with man's problems? I very much disagree, her adoptive family is of our species, and I do *NOT* think she'd want to suddenly become an only child, or an orphan again, even a partial one; her daddy running away would've destroyed her, emotionally-speaking, even her adoptive one; and she makes that clear, so either Lena's brother Lex is right and Kryptonians really are scum who've got to be eradicated, or she really does concern herself with man's problems.

Also, her stepsister, yes, her human one, clarifies to her that she fights the most dangerous and evil people, and likely beings too, on this planet; that old serpent makes all of them pale in comparison.
I know well she's fictional, never said she wasn't, nor that she doesn't have her background or beliefs; just that her beliefs mightn't match up with reality; a vital trait for us all, come to think of it: to check our beliefs to find out if indeed they do match reality. That said, scientific reality is verifiable, and its from there we can start, but we also know sciences like psychology deal with things that without totally nonphysical involvement do not add up.
All that said, I am well aware of it being a story, but often its via stories that things are sorted out.
Also, if someone does not believe in the Deity as He is, it doesn't deny His existence, it merely means that the person in question has to check his beliefs to find out if indeed he's correct; if not, to change till he does get it right, and it most certainly doesn't impact said Deity's beliefs, only said man's.
That said, that deals with science only, something she herself would indeed grasp, if only as a soft-science. You are spot-on correct in that she's fictional, but fictional things make for excellent target practice *before* living men (humans) actually get hurt.

Perfectly attempted goal of a good intent, but potentially disasterous indeed, as in that case: she'd be removing free-will, thus remaking mankind into basically robots: slaves- exactly what dictators, even the benevolent ones, have tried to do for as long as human beings have existed; rightly with disasterous failures in the efforts!

Just like your beliefs are valid to you, so her's would be. Take from the show what you will but I don't see any religious connection to God in any form unless it's to do with what Kara or J'onn beliefs from their planet.

But consider, good and evil really are universal, across just about all cultures, and in that universe, also species; her boyfriend, Mike, was disgusted by his previous "establishment culture antics" but didn't have the spine to break free until her influence aided him by example, she herself hated what he had been like, and his society was engaged in totally shameless slavery, including of oneanother... when you first see him, he's clearly engaged in exploiting a young Daxamite woman for some form of a favor; disgusting, but he clearly came to think of it in the same way too.
Factually you're right in a lot of things, regarding her point of view; that's where details and concrete arguments come into play in convincing another to rethink their belief system- and should... it'd be the deepest kind of uncharity to refuse to try to persuade someone to reconsider their belief system in all reality; it is saying in a sense "I don't care about you at all, for all I'm concerned, you can decay in terms of morals and be overrun by evil spirits, and their influence.", it is *literally* that perspective, same with *refusing* to confront a neighbor when said neighbor is engaged in something categorically immoral.
It is fully expected that a discussion would come up, but that alone won't win anything, it is more by far how one conducts oneself inside and outside the discussion that will change the whole setup and idea views; especially towards one's neighbors in a lot of ways.
Another way this'd be vital, be it if she is convinced by now or not of any human belief system, is that there are a type of "nonphysical dictators" that periodically intervene in human affairs; kind of like that 5th dimensional imp who tried to blackmail Kara into matrimony (what'd amount to a form of rape: marriage at a death-threat totally removes the consent of the partner who's either themself under threat of death or their friend, which basically means that Mike and Lena were almost violated in the same manner: marriage at weapon-point is a form of basically nonpersonal sexual assault, as mating is the marital act), in short, blackmail matrimony is basically an act of attempted sexual assault, but that aside, there're monsters far worse than Mixy, as he might be nicknamed, out there, and I'd not want to run across them.
For their former dictator, now deposed and in exile for his attempt to overrun their religious beliefs, think of every single tyrant in world history, and multiply that by the number of tyrants in both world history and literature at least, and you refine that mixture by each one's immoral tendencies, and you get a clear glimpse of what that monster is... the same monster that was giving Reign (Samantha Arias- and they did a masterful job of an "inquisition" story arc with her as a witch who wants to break free of the hold of a demon too) and her coven their powers that exceeded her own, and multiplying their malice towards their neighbors. Why else did Sam want to murder her daughter, and thus be so divided on the issue, which she clearly was?
In short, yes, we were in disagreement: why? We're two different people, and whenever two people come into contact, there is difference of opinion that happens.

The first part we can do, we always do, the second part, as much as I love the song Roar, every edit that we do is about choosing as song that we know that we can edit to well and pull off, unfortunately Roar is not one of those songs, despite how fitting it can be to Supergirl.
