I got the tuner 2 weeks ago, and I wish i got it a lot sooner. After the install, when i started the truck for the first time, I heard a huge difference at idle. It sounded a lot smoother. But, when i took it for a test drive, I was astonished!! Power mode was installed, and the power gain was significant. I run a dedicated route. Same hway, same hills, and know what my fuel/def consumption to the T. On my very first run, I drove 72mph, 1450rmp, I did get in it climbing hills and loved the POWER. The hills where I would drop a half gear, none was needed. I used about 35 gallons of diesel less, than on the prior trip. DEF was about 3.7 less. Very pleased with the results :) :) :) 2017 389 Peterbilt 550 ISX 3.25 rears 18spd 22.5 lopro tires.
If your skeptical like I was, don’t be. This product works. If you do your due diligence and drive for economy you will see an increase. I picked up a gallon per mile. That is huge. Peterbilt 389 X15 565/2050 pulling 42-45k in a reefer out of Denver.
Just ordered one today. I can’t wait to install it to go along with the intake manifold I installed about a month ago on my ISX15. I’m just wondering which would be better economy or power?
Got it yesterday put the performance tune in my 2020 Pete x15 525 with a 13spd 336 gears my normal loads are around 83,000 fuel hauling, what a difference smoothl power on up and got at least half mile per gallon better .
No sir, they will work on the 6.7L Cummins in Medium duty and above applications, ie; Motorhomes, FL70, F-650, etc. Nothing for light duty applications at this time. Thanks!
It will add 80-85 HP and 250 lb ft of torque, and gain on average 1/2 mile per gallon. We've been tuning ACERT CAT's for over 10 years now. This is just the newest way to get the tuning into your truck.
No sir it won't. Engine needs to have all factory emissions on it to be CARB/EPA compliant. We do offer a Tuner Lite, that can be used for gauges and to check and clear engine trouble codes. It does not do any ECM tuning.
No sir, it does not support any delete tuning. You can use our Tuner LITE that has the gauge features, and ability to check and clear codes. Just no ECM tuning capability. It's $895 for the Tuner LITE
if your running an isx x15 at 605 @2050trq factory setting will there be a diiferene in the power mode settings also how much hp does the power mode settings add thanks
In most cases it will. There are exceptions though. The best thing would be to take it to your Cummins dealer and have it flashed out of the ECM and a Non- Mega Carrier file put in it. Thanks for watching!
pdidiesel I work for a mega carrier and I’m assuming my truck is password protected. Will this bypass parameters set by the company as far as the derated hp setting and governed speed? Also if the tuner does bypass those settings how do I revert back to them when returning the truck?
Yes, if it is a DDEC4 or DDEC5, it will work great! You don't need to change any parts, just buy the Tuner and install performance tune. Gives you a 15% increase in HP and Torque.
Awesome it works great on the ISX. It is $2350 and we have a limited time financing special going right now. Give us a call 888-588-7113, let the sales team know you saw the special on UA-cam.
Am on a lease purchase truck is still under warranty it’s the 565hp motor will they see a difference on there end I don’t wanna mess with speed just power
I have an 07 379 3406E WS2 Cat, if I was to install a pdi tuner, tuner only, what would be my real life mpg gain? How much fuel economy should I gain! Reality!
I would be looking for at least 1/2 mile per gallon. That is a pretty solid average gain with that engine. It all depends on how you drive it with the increased HP and Torque. Some people gain as much as 1.25 to 1.5 miles per gallon, others only see .3 to .4 miles per gallon. The large spread there being 100% the driver and what loads, terrain, equipment etc.
It adds 10% more HP and Torque. The "Economy" term just means it is less of a HP/Torque gain than the Power Tune level. The best fuel efficiency gains are seen on the power tune file. Which is a 15% increase in HP/Torque.
I just got a 2020 international HX with the Cummins x15 485 HP and an Allison auto 4500 RDS. A few questions. The truck is vacuum truck so lots of heavy PTO use. Will I need to adjust my PTO RPM output after tuning? Also will those hp/torque gains cause any problems with the transmission or the PTO running a shaft and a second one running hydraulics. Finally should I wait until the warranty is up to install?
It will work great, the RPM settings should all be the same. Shouldn't have any negative effect on your transmission. We have many installing while still under warranty, as the tuner cannot be traced and Cummins can't see that you have re-programmed the ECM. You can easily put the stock ECM tune back in at anytime. Give us a call 800-511-1231
We offer alot for that engine, Tuner, Turbo, exhaust manifold, Cam and more! There are some videos on our page, but if you'd like to go over more details, please give us a call 1-888-588-7113 Thanks
No sir not for Tuning. We do have the Tuner Lite, which is great for gauges and the ability to run diagnostics to check and clear engine trouble codes. Just does not come with any tuning for the ECM. Thanks

Glad you are happy! Thank you for your business and the great review!
35 gallons on how much miles?

Thank you for your review and your business! We appreciate it!
I really appreciate your videos, I'm looking at picking up a W990 but want better fuel economy and seriously considering your products.
Thank you for watching! You will love what the Big Boss Tuner and Intake manifold will do on the new X15 Cummins! Give us a call when you're ready.
Like the product. Just got off the phone with Robby. Will have my truck up there next year when I get it paid off
Awesome! Yes Robby does a good job, looking forward to seeing you.
Just ordered one today. I can’t wait to install it to go along with the intake manifold I installed about a month ago on my ISX15. I’m just wondering which would be better economy or power?

Awesome! Glad to hear your feed back, we appreciate your business.
How is it? Keep us updated.
What kind of gains have you all seen with this on a stock motor?
It will give a 10-15 % increase in HP and Torque from the stock file. The average fuel gains we are getting back from customers is .5 to 1 MPG.
@@pdidiesel 1mpg would payback cost of tuner quickly.
Do you guys offer tuners for pickups with the Cummins turbo diesel engine?????
No sir, they will work on the 6.7L Cummins in Medium duty and above applications, ie; Motorhomes, FL70, F-650, etc. Nothing for light duty applications at this time. Thanks!
Is there a splitter for the diagnostic cable? My eld requires usage of the diagnostic port at all times
Yes we have them available. Give us a call 1-800-511-1231
Can u change the speed limiter
Yes you can, as well as tire size and several other parameters.
When will the tuner be available for DD16?
We are hoping to have it by the end of this year.
Dd15?
It's now available!
Ok what if you don't have enough internet connection what kind of cord do you use to connect to computer and it can be down loaded
Yes sir if you need to move closer to a Wi-Fi router, you can use any type of USB-C connector to power up the tuner to download your files.
Curious if say someone had a company truck do these leave any kind of foot print ? Also can you change speed set points etc
No it doesn't leave a footprint, and it will change the speed limiters as long as the truck is not password protected on the engine file.
When set to power mode what would be the typical gains you would see.
The Power tune gives you a 15% increase in HP and Torque. The average fuel mileage gains we are seeing are around 1/2 mile per gallon!
Be nice to see what the gains are on a 550 c15 acert
It will add 80-85 HP and 250 lb ft of torque, and gain on average 1/2 mile per gallon. We've been tuning ACERT CAT's for over 10 years now. This is just the newest way to get the tuning into your truck.
Would this tuner work if i have a dpf delete on the truck
No sir it won't. Engine needs to have all factory emissions on it to be CARB/EPA compliant. We do offer a Tuner Lite, that can be used for gauges and to check and clear engine trouble codes. It does not do any ECM tuning.
Wondering if this tuner is available for older trucks I have a 2001 c16 600 cat
We should have CAT tuning loaded for the tuner later this year!
Hey Travis, our Tuner is now out for the C16 CAT. Were you still looking to get one put on there?
Will this work with a deleted acert with a marine tune?
No sir, it does not support any delete tuning. You can use our Tuner LITE that has the gauge features, and ability to check and clear codes. Just no ECM tuning capability. It's $895 for the Tuner LITE
Is there any tuning available for mx13 and is there any way for me to get rid of “restriction” in my exhaust
We do offer some great ECM tuning for the MX13. It is all on-highway tuning and gets some good HP/Torque and efficiency gains.
@@pdidiesel is this through the big boss tuner? Or custom ecm tuning?
Currently it is directly tuned into the ECM by us. Later this year we should have it available via the Tuner.
if your running an isx x15 at 605 @2050trq factory setting will there be a diiferene in the power mode settings also how much hp does the power mode settings add
thanks
Yes with that configuration you will gain 90 HP and 300 lb ft of torque on power and 60 HP and 200 lb ft of torque on economy.
@@pdidiesel thanks
I bought a truck from a mega carrier that is password protected will this open it up or do I have to take it to Cummins
In most cases it will. There are exceptions though. The best thing would be to take it to your Cummins dealer and have it flashed out of the ECM and a Non- Mega Carrier file put in it. Thanks for watching!

Yes it does! Give us a call for details 888-588-7113
Hi
On a Detroit s60, 12.7 egr modal with vpod and vnt turbo what does you the tuner do? And do I need to change any parts on the truck.
Thank
Yes, if it is a DDEC4 or DDEC5, it will work great! You don't need to change any parts, just buy the Tuner and install performance tune. Gives you a 15% increase in HP and Torque.
pdidiesel
Will this get rid of the Egr?
No sir, just tuned for HP/Torque and efficiency.
Do these modifications have any effect on warranty?
This Tuner leaves no footprint and cannot be seen by the dealer. So no impact on warranty.
@@pdidiesel so if truck needs to be serviced by dealership do i need to flush it back to stock tune before i drop truck at dealership?
Not needed, just take the monitor off the dash. The file cannot be seen.
Do it work with px engines?
Yes on 2011 and newer engines!
I have a 2014 with a isx550. What’s something like this cost?
Awesome it works great on the ISX. It is $2350 and we have a limited time financing special going right now. Give us a call 888-588-7113, let the sales team know you saw the special on UA-cam.
pdidiesel $2,350? Dang that’s not bad at all. Do you have any idea what it would be if I came y’all and had it done in-house?
It would be the same price. It is only about a 15-20 minute install, very easy to do.
Well this affect warranty on x15 performance series
Our tuner gives you the ability to return the engine to the stock tuning, it does not leave any trace or tattle tale that the engine was ever retuned.
Am on a lease purchase truck is still under warranty it’s the 565hp motor will they see a difference on there end I don’t wanna mess with speed just power
That will work fine. There is no trace that the ECM was ever tuned.
pdidiesel thanks

It adds 10% more HP and Torque. The "Economy" term just means it is less of a HP/Torque gain than the Power Tune level. The best fuel efficiency gains are seen on the power tune file. Which is a 15% increase in HP/Torque.
@@pdidiesel if I have the 525/1850 is it still 15% more power or are the figures based on the 605/2050
The 15% is over whatever the stock file is. So 525 would pick up 75-80 HP and 275 lb ft of torque.
@@pdidiesel thank you I will be picking one up this summer!
Do y’all have these available for the smaller engine like Cummins 6.7 in my Ram 3500 2016
They will work on the 6.7L ISB engine, but the engine must be in a medium duty, RV or larger chassis. It will not work in the Ram trucks.
pdidiesel Ok thanks for the response.
What is considered medium duty 4500 or 5500?
I believe its the 5500, when it goes to a round 9 pin OBD connector.
I just got a 2020 international HX with the Cummins x15 485 HP and an Allison auto 4500 RDS. A few questions. The truck is vacuum truck so lots of heavy PTO use. What about a 07 w900L
And what about a add a turbo
Not for the 2007. 2010 +
Is avaible for Cat 3406E?
We should have the CAT tuning loaded later this year!
Ok thanks
Hey Eduardo, we now have our Tuner out for the 3406E. Were you still looking to get one put on your truck?
pdidiesel what kinda power gain is the 3406e with economy and power tune
how can i improve mpg on cat 15 550 do you have a vide on that?

Would the tuner work with a trucks that’s already been deleted?
No sir not for Tuning. We do have the Tuner Lite, which is great for gauges and the ability to run diagnostics to check and clear engine trouble codes. Just does not come with any tuning for the ECM. Thanks
