They actually nailed a totally platonic vibe here, honestly. I think it’s because they feel like friends, actual normal friends, more than most TV characters
One of the greatest developments on the show has to be Gus going from being the complete straight man/anti crazy shenanigans to being completely bought in to so many of them and at least very close to as crazily quirky as Shawn is by the end of the show.
Though I love Shules, but Abigail was perfect for Shawn. The way she rides on his jokes and quipping with her own, Shawn was able to be himself the whole time

I love in “High Top Fade Out” that Gus points out to Shawn that if none of the stuff he had done the past several years made him leave, then it’s probably not happening.😊💖 I also love whenever Shawn leans into their friendship being more than that.😂

Hard to compare. Shawn hunter had a more messed up childhood. Also, Cory was smart enough not to let Topanga get away, Psych Shawn wasn’t so smart.
