I heard that Mineral Hall was supposed to be a bonus dungeon in the Boss Rush game, but that it's non-Euclidean geometry took up too much memory and the devs had to cut it in the end.

The trophy hall of the ascended god who was a humble geologist that by sheer luck and determination ended ascending to godhood later to realize they could keep exploring the caves and storing its valuable finds on its own pocket dimension
This makes me wanna build a small DnD adventure for this background music. Like, some otherworldy gem-cave with crystalline beings, all very sparkly and turquoise and stuff. Really cool vibe
Louie this is perhaps the most immersive album I've every heard in my life. Listening to each song makes me feel like I'm in a different world or like an old video that doesn't exist I swear to God
Every time a new Lookfar album happens, it is always the best part of that day. This world, whatever it is, is SO intriguing. Thank you for the fantastic music, Louie!
I've listened to this like... 8 times since it was posted. Tourmaline Theme stirs up something deep within me every time I listen to it - all of the tracks do, actually - so otherworldly.
i was just chilling with this in the bg and then staurolite cross suddenly filled my heart with a feeling i dont know when or why or even if i felt it before. something finite and precious is the best way to describe it atm. if i could say with only certainty that some things are art, this would be one of those somethings.
So far this already sounds far more creative and original than the vast majority of dungeon synth I hear. Not sure who else would know about this, but it also reminds me of a bizarre early 90's computer game called Spelunx which I sometimes played during school computer class (I guess it was "educational"? XD)...
i was listenin to the other lookfar albums while doing some homework and didnt even notice this dropped. guess i know what im listenin too for homework tomorrow
As a geologist I appreciate this album very much
Lofi music to chill and lick rocks to?
@@somehowaturtle9802 hi
would you say it _rocks_?
I sharpen my obsidian knife
As a lapidarist, I also appreciate this album a whole bunch
It's inspiring how someone can make music this fast.
Louie Z simply just goes with the flow of sound
Between this and boss rush you've just added a lot of fuel for my D&D campaign...
15:12 Y'know, never expected to hear "Abide with Me" in a dungeon synth album but I love how it sounds like an old broken down carillon!
I heard that Mineral Hall was supposed to be a bonus dungeon in the Boss Rush game, but that it's non-Euclidean geometry took up too much memory and the devs had to cut it in the end.
Ah the hidden gem of "Abide with Me". That one caught me by surprise.
Ever since Beyond the Edge of the World I've gotten waaaaay into Dungeon Synth so many thanks for that and this awesome sequel!
Drop a Dungeon Synth rec!

Big same
This sounds like the soundtrack to if Eyewitness made a virtual museum educational tour CD-ROM that came in a cereal box in 1998

Feldspar Folk sounds like a tune for “friendly” shops in the dungeon selling supplies, sometimes an elixir for 48900G.
i went to the natural history museum in london recently and when i got to the minerals exhibit i thought "no way it's mineral hall by louie zong!!1!1"
"NO WAY. LOUIE ZONG POSTED ANOTHER LOOKFAR."
My mother, sleeping after a 4 hour drive: "That's nice sweetie"
tourmaline theme is horrifically beautiful
This makes me wanna build a small DnD adventure for this background music. Like, some otherworldy gem-cave with crystalline beings, all very sparkly and turquoise and stuff. Really cool vibe
Not a clue what "dungeon synth" is but I'm here for it
it's your new favourite genre, welcome to the dungeon
idk what it is but I'm definitely using it as background music for my next dnd campaign
It's a genre based on fantasy and rpg music back in the 90's where it used synths.
@@ShinNovaheart wrong. it is a synth from a dungeon
Louie this is perhaps the most immersive album I've every heard in my life. Listening to each song makes me feel like I'm in a different world or like an old video that doesn't exist I swear to God
Heck yes! I love all the other lookfar stuff, I’m happy for another sequel
If bejeweled was a RPG dungeon game. This is the vibe.
YES

Every time a new Lookfar album happens, it is always the best part of that day. This world, whatever it is, is SO intriguing.
Thank you for the fantastic music, Louie!
80’s Dark fantasy style album, love it
Ancient Zircon 10/10
in love with Petrified Wood, fairlight cmi pan flute goes hard on that song
Obligatory "And Steven!"
Seriously though this is good, thank you!
The intense Mystery Dungeon vibes the first few seconds of Feldspar Folk give off are a nostalgia slap in the face I love it
I've listened to this like... 8 times since it was posted. Tourmaline Theme stirs up something deep within me every time I listen to it - all of the tracks do, actually - so otherworldly.
Ooh this is like ASMR for a very specific part of my brain.
The vibes on Tourmaline Theme are so good holy shit
Actual rock music
this album is my current daily music to the university... foggy mornings with a bit of a low rain...
This is nice! Feels like something you’d find in Hypnospace Outlaw
I love all of your music, but your Lookfar albums have a very special place in my heart.
This is fantastic, every song that came on i was like "yes, that's what that rock would sound like!!!"
I was just wishing there was another Louie dungeon synth album the other day! Loving it so far
This is amazing. The combination of sounds, melodies, and progression really evoke something nostalgic even. Superb work!!!!! ❤️
Really, really love the Lookfar albums, all so good. I use them when DMing regularly!

Every night, the UA-cam algorithm blesses me with a different Louie Zong album, because it knows I'll click it.
as usual, a perfect combination of music, title, and album artwork
He's done it again
i'm %200 going to use this for dnd

ii'm so sorry but i had to do it
Worked on my homework while listening to this, got it done in no time :) thanks! Love your music
This is incredible this is exactly what my moog fueled brain needed
I am a huge dungeon synth fan, seeing this kind of rep from a musician I love is awesome!!!
As a gem and mineral lover I appreciate this album very much
your lookfar stuff is by far my favorite stuff you make. its just absolutely incredible and i hope you keep at ir

I wish my body was creative like this
WOOOOOOO LETS GOOOOOOO. Fav Louie album gets another sequel
this will be a perfect album for studying geology
This reminded me a lot of the Denpa Men games soundtrack along with some of the tones of music from Bugsnax. I really liked this
So far this already sounds far more creative and original than the vast majority of dungeon synth I hear.
Not sure who else would know about this, but it also reminds me of a bizarre early 90's computer game called Spelunx which I sometimes played during school computer class (I guess it was "educational"? XD)...
I love the Earthsea reference
I finally have a way to describe my ascetic
impeccable energy i love it
Miami Vice in the middle age

This rocks! 😉
of course you made a DS album ^^ epic
Liminal vulfwave, love it!
I didn't know what to expect with the name "dungeon synth" but yeah, that sounds right. :3
sounds vaguely splatoon-ish to me, especially gypsum jam. cld totally see this being the soundtrack for the side order dlc
found this comment post-SO release and yeah. yeah, man. mhm. yep
No Bismuth blues?
Staurolite Cross feels like a mixture of church music and 'Komm süßer Tod' from Neon Genesis Evangelion
Its the hymn Abide with me :) my favorite
It's indeed a church hymn, I think they used it as the start for Komm Susser Tod because they both are about death?
Eventide :' ) 15:12
I knew I couldn't be the only one to recognize that.
Love this!🥳
Music for rockhounds, kobolds and mineralogist!
The 90's game vibes.
Very Adventure Time.
It will be great if we could have all of your albums on cd ;>
Iridium dream is my favorite
Sounds like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon meets 90s Zelda meets Chrono Trigger
