    You are doing it Stephen!
And if you fail ( which I doubt), remember you can always fail better next time.
    You are truly inspirational.

I’m SO happy for you!! My adult son also has schizophrenia and also struggles with loneliness. I think that’s a wonderful idea to have a certain time each week when there could be chatting between all of you. You have been a wonderful source of encouragement to my son. The changes in you are awesome. You and your family are in my prayers.

I hope that your son is continuing to improve, and more importantly, is able to enjoy life. My illness began in 1964! It had been my greatest challenge, but I have never given up. Keep on, keeping on😊

Stephen, you are an amazing young man and spreading hope. I was diagnosed with 'hebrephrenic schizophrenia, ' which is no longer considered a subtype. This was in '64, and switching to clozapine several years ago has helped me considerably. There is always hope, and as I have gotten older, my stability is better than ever. Keep on, keeping on ...

Your channel is amazing-offering so much true hope! Thank you for working hard to document & share your wisdom. The isolation has been one of the hardest parts for me too. I got really sick, bed ridden, severe depression, and was isolated from others for months-this caused a psychotic break and all the delusions began me literally running away and living homeless (or house to house) for 2yrs. So isolation is a huge cause and now not trusting others. But I can finally leave my house consistently and spend quality time with loved ones. Took awhile and ALOT of courage and persistence wading :::thru::: intrusive thoughts, to trust loved ones past my delusions again. But its working, big time! My brain & perception are healing. Dont give up! Keep working on building your relationships. This is what will heal you completely eventually.

Hi Stephen, nice video again :) It's great to see you doing all these steps towards socialization. I wish I could give you some advice there but I'm not a very social person myself so I'll just say good luck and may you have a safe and pleasant trip! As far as social media goes, I totally support you there, it can be very time and bandwidth consuming at best and horribly stressful and toxic at worst. I choose to avoid that negativity in my life, and I limit my Facebook activity to just likes and strictly avoiding interacting with someone's hot takes. Thanks again Stephen and best wishes to you and your family :)

Wow Stephen you are doing well, great to see. My husband has a support worker he’s a great guy Trent clicked with him very well.
He comes and goes for a coffee or what ever this week they went to tai chi down the park. I’ve noticed Trent has started doing some gardening which he totally lost interest in. You’ve got this have a great time with your cousin and on your visit to your family.

Great video Stephen and a very well written explanation to this video too. I can see the time and attention to detail spent in both. 🙂 You mentioned in your video concerns about doing or saying something wrong, the beauty with adult hood is we have all taken knocks of one sort or another by the time we establish ourselves in the work place. These knocks have a habit of humbling which is a very good thing. Through those knocks those who never experienced being on the receiving end learn compassion and understanding that they might not have had otherwise. I think as adults we can be less critical and more outward going when helping others to reach a place of fruition. The problem with isolation is it can be difficult to see transformations in people, which in turn can leave gaps in understanding of specific age groups. Another issue with isolation is it can lead to stagnation in development. As you know Stephen isolation can happen through no fault of their own, and it's important not to go blaming oneself or others for that isolation, but to move forward when ready.
Filling in gaps can be very much a case of gleaning information, knowledge and understandings from others. It's important to ask questions to fill those gaps, but having presence of mind in knowing who best to ask for any given piece of information (one person might be more knowledgeable in one area than another). You have so much to offer this world and with a positive frame of mind it's possible to see all the areas of potential and opportunities that someone with a negative mind-set might dismiss as not worth the effort due to their defeatist attitude. One last thing I think a live Q&A is a awesome idea. One tip is to advertise it well in advance so people can set time aside to attend, another might be to have a co-host to take some of the pressure off. Hope this has been of some help. 🙂

Hey Stephen, remeber me, been commenting your vids. What happened with me is that I comletely cured my cognitive symptoms and improved my health in general. Hell I feel like I never had been sick.
Ok few tips that might help you and other schitzo warriors:
-In order to function propertly your brain need oxygen:
Cold showers are great ways to increase blood flow in brain.
-Your lungs also have to inhale alot of oxygen in order to sand it to brain. So we need to clean them. Air purefires are great in this case. Ion air purefires worked best for me.
    - Water that we drink is rly bad. Body is 80% water. Since almost evey cell in our body is practicly 80% water thar means we need to watch what we drink. I boght filters that you attach to sink that purefies water. It was one of the best ting ive done to my body and brain.
    -Clean gut from candida.
Some studies indicate that 70 % of population now has increase growth of candida. As we all know candida can release toxins to your brain and fck up your cognition and can even couse psychosis. We all know that all of us that went thru psychosis or have schitzo eat alot of carbs, sugar due to increased apetite cosed by antipsychotic and depression. Sugars feed candida and then she realise more and more toxins in blood wich messes our brain even more.
For me it was really helpful to use probiotics as supplement. Also activated charcoal helped alot and zeolite.
    - You all know how important is food that we eat.
Lets start with protein sorces: Most of protein sorces that we consume are actually filled with hormones and those animals are feed by rly crappy food. Safer choice woul be fish. Especially sea fish or organic meat.
    - Carbs : stay away from sugar or white breat and anything that is made of flour! Swich to plants that has whole seed. Also beans are great source of carbs.
-Fat: you will get enough healthy fat just from eating sea fish but nuts are great source too. You all know that our brain cells are 80% fat. So feed your brain better.
-Vegetables: we also need to increase mineral and vitamin sources so best way is to eat bunch of vegetables. Plus it wont make you fat and miserable.
-Using heat to improve blood flow and circulation even more:
Electric blanket that produces heat is great way to add some extra energy to your body and increase blood flow. Also in combination with cold showers works wonders.
-Exercise but only if it feels plesurable. Psychosis is stersful enough. If you are doing exercise do it but dont kill yourself during training. Listen to your body. If you feel like ealikng today, walk. If yiu feel like jogging, jog. If you feel like running, run.
-Limiting noise pollution. We all know that noise can couse hallucinations. For me this was huge deal. Couldnt stand trafic, motocycles, saw or anything noisy. Earbuds guys, earbuds...
Hope it will help you or anyone reading this.
I am off meds 4 months already. No sing of psychosis. Ofc I go regulary to mu psychiatrist.
I work, I look extreamly got since I am personal trainer. It is really easy to find girlfriend now since I can use full capacity of my brain and my inteligance. I aldo have alot of friends. Life now compared to what it was 5 months ago is heaven...
Hope all of you will get better, no one deserves hell of mental illness, no one...

I know this video is from a few months ago and this suggestion might sound simplistic but … I was wondering if you have a dog? Not only are they amazing companions, a dog is also a wonderful people magnet. If you are the park, the beach or just walking your dog in the neighborhood, you instantly have something in common with other animal lovers. People are just drawn to dogs, and it’s easy for them to come up and ask you about your dog’s breed or age. An instant ice-breaker. I’ve also read a few message boards where people with schizophrenia have said that their dog was a tremendous comfort to them, and helped them discern whether something they were hearing was real or not, because they knew that if the dog didn’t react, the noise or hallucination was most likely not real. Just a suggestion!
