    I use a face wash that has glycolic and salicylic acid. I leave it on for 5-10 mins (short contact) and then wash it off. I only use it once a week and it doesn't irritate my sensitive, hyperpigmentation prone, oily skin

    I absolutely loved this, thank you so much Dr. Shereene! Especially the story about your mother's use of your PillowTalk Derm 'Mask! Will be looking for actually a couple goodies from your product line, thank you!!
    My mom personally experiences the same thing, and I've noticed myself actually starting to mildly develop the same in my twenties (extremely invisible thankfully but I'd notice if paying very perfectionistic attention to it lol), *on the back of the hands. Regardless, will be hopefully considering these products soon! I'll check.
    In regards to exfoliators, I'll check into Mandelic Acid. I've used Salicylic Acid fine as well before but I feel it significantly made me look so much more paler lol, would brighten my face. My skin is respectively light to medium, though it can look very surprisingly fair to light. I nearly lost the interest in exfoliators because of how much I felt it was doing me a disservice. Until I received a positive facial recently, and saw my original, freshly tan skin pop out through the surface, as well as give my dullen' skin, more of a radiance. Realized again the importance of exfoliating. I feel she was using a beaded, possibly La Roche Posay physical exfoliator, and/or ones with beads. It helped beautifully. Such great topics are always being mentioned on your page thankfully. Am very grateful to have come across you & your content! Love from legit the hotspot', bridge-across NY, from NJ! [F.L]! :) ~ Respectively a sensitive & dry skin type, with the normal hormonal flareups every now & again lol!

      @@shelbisanders9799Dr Idris does not. She is a veteran and leaves it on one night a week. I’m going to patch test her product and then wash it off one night. After two days I will put it on all parts of my facial skin except next to my nostrils as I am sensitive there. If tolerated then 2-3 days a week when not using retinol and washing it off. 😅 If all goes well and my skin tolerance to the Flash Mask is good, I will leave it on all night once a week.

    I can’t use glycolic acid as it burns my skin and being skin of colour I avoid it. I do like lactic acid though. The only glycolic acid product I can use is the Isntree AHA where it is 4% glycolic and 4% lactic acid, so gentle and doesn’t cause me irritation

    My skin seems to be sensitive to low levels of glycolic acid. I would like to use your Flash Mask, but am afraid it will be way too strong. I have been using 3% and 5% glycolic. 5% can be too much if I use too much in one spot. I use Skinceuticals 10% and my face peels off for 2 days. Thinking your Flashmask would burn my face off. Correct thinking, right?

    • @sarahrosen4985
      @sarahrosen4985 10 місяців тому

      Have you started taking glutathione? When I added an oral supplement every evening I saw a huge change. Spots aren't gone but they are sooo faded - the derm prescription I got years ago did not have such an effect. Added Mary & May tranexamic acid + glutathione cream a week ago. Now just need to wait 2 months to see how it goes. At the same time, I started the Hero lightning wand on the other side of my face. I always start a new product on only 1 side.

    • @ChiquitaSalseraOne
      @ChiquitaSalseraOne 3 місяці тому

      I love CereVe. I use the combination wash in the evening and it takes off my sunscreen and makeup and it doesn’t strip my skin barrier. I like the hydration wash in the morning. Dr Idriss just uses water in the morning. If you have very oily skin CeraVe has a cleanser for that too but it might be drying for some. My husband uses it. None of them hurt our eyes. I leave the wash on my skin for two to four minutes to let the niaciamide penetrate my skin and let the ceramides protect my skin barrier.
