My daughter’s prom dress came from Amazon we ordered it a size up purposefully. Paid less than 200 for dress shoes and costume jewelry. Took it to the seamstress and the dress was elegant and age appropriate. If it were white could have been an awesome wedding dress.

I ordered an evening gown from Amazon and it’s one of the most beautiful and well made evening gowns I’ve ever owned and I own a lot of them due to military balls and Mardi Gras balls and my grandma was a seamstress so I’m picky but I fell in love with the dress and figured for $120 I would take the chance and was hesitant about it until I received it and I was in shock it was so beautiful. My mom thought I was lying to her when I said I bought it from Amazon. The seller even messaged me and asked for my exact measurements and that dress fits me perfectly like it was tailor made to fit me. So not all dress sellers on there are scamming people

They gave me back my money the next day and an apology. They shut that site I got it from down fast. It was for a military ball. Only reason for me buy from that company as there was mostly good reviews and a few bad ones. If the dress looks amazing in the picture and it’s cheap then that tell me it’s gonna be bad. Those amazing looking ones take months to make. I know this as my grandma was a dress maker. And the fabric cost more than what they sell them for on line. Then the cost of time and labor is high. The dress in my profile cost a fortune and took 7 months to finish. Do not fall for the price trap. Even the ticktock videos who do this did not buy from Amazon. They went to dress shops. I’ve seen the same dress that are good ones for way more. Or they brought them second hand. I’ve been to a lot of balls and been dress shopping a lot.
Key question: if you saw it on sale for the same price, but advertised with 100% accurate and real photos of the actual product you get, would you still call it "a scam" or "a fail"? If not, sorry but the fault is yours. If it sounds too good/cheap to be true, rest assured it isn't.
