The best Bonamassa ever!! No need for others on the stage, this trio is so good. Joe is amazing, wish I could have seen these three. Rock on Joe, with Eric and Kenny, period!!
@@Wargsy no its cool man, I wish he was still doing a similar style with this band as the whole set is awesome and whats im aspiring to play like myself. I discovered this set after I herd his live at the royal albert hall gig which beautiful :)
@@nautical_eddie7875 I fully agree. I still love his new style too though but would be nice with a variety :D 1 thing more I'd love however is having many more live performances of him, he still has a lot but can never get enough of him live.
The crowd recognized it too, there is another video of Joe doing this song from the same time period and the crowd response is even bigger when he hits the Stevie Ray lick.
One of your hottest Numbers, Joe, and with a fantastic Drummer and one of the best Base players around that I appreciate .. This is Real music and they don't make music as exciting as this anymore ...only a few !
A great live show from a Blues Rock trio this was! And what a swinging rendition of this blues classic, what guitar jam playing Joe did in those days. Loved this trio.
was lucky enough to catch him last year at the beacon here in NYC and he was AMAZING!!!! Billy Squire was a special guest and man.. they blew the roof off that place!
For a three piece the sound is so full!! Not bands like that that can do that without using some pre programed sounds. Especially in this time and age. I know this is still recorded around 05 or 06 but the fills from the bass and drummer are really special!!
Love this guy..and he is coming to Indianapolis..but :-(... retired, fixed income..can't afford those prices for tickets... guess I'm gettin old... thanks for what he puts on you tube..that I can afford :-)
Watched a Strat tutorial by Joe. He mentioned a lot of guitarists when discussing techniques, but when he got to the volume manipulation (that violin sound) he didn't mention Roy Buchanan at all. Some of the biggest guitarists of the British invasion were searching out Roy in the 60s just to learn his techniques. Jeff Beck used that sound the best when he did it Roy's way until he got lazy and started using the tremelo bar. What killed Roy's spirit was discovering other guitarists were covering his sound but using electronics versus just the guitar to do it.
I especially liked this Strat because it sounded like a traditional strat..back in the earlier days of his career most of his strats had the hot humbucking sounding pups..I like a strat to sound like a strat and a Les Paul like a Les Paul..just my preference..
Used to be a clip of him doing this at the Montreal Blues Fest that I can't seem to find anymore. Liked it even better than this one. Anyone have a link to it?
Well, I did a little looking and found it played starting at the 21:00 minute point of his 59 minute set: Festival de Jazz de Montréal 2004. Click on: ua-cam.com/video/w9xY4S-RMxY/v-deo.html

10 years ive been coming back to watch this set and it still blows me away each time, his style is awesome!
It's an awesome song but this set was 6 years ago. :D not 10
@@Wargsy sorry to piss on your chips matey but it was posted on here 6 years ago, the set was in germany 2005
. even says it in the description :)
@@nautical_eddie7875 Oh no you're not pissing on my chips! :D I apologize then! I didnt see it in the description I prob just missed it, my fault man

This guy NEVER stops to amaze me, he even made that bloody guitar sound like a freaking VIOLIN!!! (3:45 - 4:20).
Just messing with the volume lol, Jeff beck did it a lot
Plenty of guitar player do that nothing unique to see here

JOE BONAMASSA THE GREAT

Man! When he does the volume knob bit during his solo, it's just sublime. Why he isn't a household name is beyond me.
I loved listening and watching this. I can't wait till the day I can see Joe live.
