These three guys has more energy than the dozens of the last decade shows. Best lineup ever, I agree!
Eric Czar... Awesome !
Eric Czar what a bass player
The point is: Back in these days Joe played in a Band. Today it s the Joe Bonamassa Show. A big difference relating to the sounds and the way songs get written ...
Eric czar what a musician!
That Bass player is getting it 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Legend has it that the vibration from that bass performance is still being picked up on the out skirts of the milky way by deep space probes .
Wish Eric Czar was back, just a stellar voice on the bass. Hey Joe listen to the fans!!!!!!
Yep, he's a legend in my book. One of the best around.
Eric is doing good. He does a lot of soundtrack work.
He works a Lott with 7 string basses.
He has some vids on here.
This is my favorite concert on UA-cam. I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched it. I wish Joe had kept this trio together. I can’t imagine the awesome music that they would’ve made, if he had.
Absolutely agreed. Puts the The Mag into Magnificent; stone cold the best live set I’ve ever seen on UA-cam.
@@davidwatts3495 Totally agree! Literally stunning!
No doubt Jo is a slinger.
But the blues & de’ Man will
Still reign ( go Johnny go )
Mine too. Can't get enough of this trio. I bought the DVD. I've been to a few concerts and watched many music videos and this trio is the best I've ever seen in my life. How I wish I'd have been there!! 2022 and I come back to this, why? These guys don't need anyone else on the stage! Sometimes less is more! Joe, Eric and Kenny!!
These 3 have more voltage than a nuclear power station.
I still think that this live, the live at the Rockpalast, represents the best Bonamassa (imo). Young, with a lot of energy, two awesome musicians with him, an explosive sound. No saxophones, no keyboards, no choirs, no double drummers. A simple power trio with tons of raw power. There's no Royal Albert, no Tour de Force, no Beacon Theatre or other gigs that could overcome this simply beautiful joy of music. Thank you Joe.
Completely agree.
They should do this again...
I agree and I am so Grateful Insaw this power trio several times...Joe became boring after getting rid of Kenny and Eric.. anyone know what they are up to today?? A band is only as good as the rhythm section
The Poor Drummer is so often looked over when the band is talked about. Yet the beat and style is such important thing in keeping everything tight a flowing. Can’t leave them out when talking about the full band !! 👍😎🇦🇺
I'm hip.
Bonamassa is his prime!
Wow it's just hard to put into words the good rocking vibes I get from this jam!
😮 ❤ ⭐ 🎶 🔥 🎸
Eric is a bass god. Period
The bass player matched Joe note for note on some parts, and the drummer was so tight in the pocket it was incredible.
That bass player being none other than Eric Czar. A real power player. On a other level in my view.
@@larsniehaus176 Yessir I do agree, he is definitely on another level.
He an Dave LaRue play a lot alike. LaRue is bassist for Steve Morse, but has also played for many other prominent guitarists and bands, such as Dream Theater.
I also think very highly of
Charles Berthoud. HE IS A BEAST !
Do you know if the bass player is alive or playing in another band .He and the drummer were great along with Joe .
This band is fuckin' spot on. = Greatness.
Joe needs to get back together with these two. Seriously, one of his best periods ever.
YES
Agreed , but as much as I love Joe, there was two lead guitars on that stage, Eric is not a pocket bassist and I believe upstages Joe here, as a drummer I tend to love the bass so I may be bias. And damn what a bassist !!! Hell of a drummer too, that snare pops like a rifle!
@@1drumsmoke also, if possible, Eric has evolved and gotten even better since. Incredible talent.
Agreed.
Kim Brown Absolutely THE BEST.
Joe's band at it's apex. Never been the same since.
What happened to this Bonamassa? I miss back this Bonamassa! Joe, bring back this Bonamassa!
Joe bonamassa will probably always be my favorite, you see there are a number of factors that puts him in his own special class as a professional gifted guitarist, first of all he can play right handed and left handed, everything he plays on his guitar with a right handed guitar he can switch the guitar around and play left handed, and very few people in the world are gifted to be able to do that with a musical instrument , especially the guitar, if my research is correct, Joe bonamassa is worth about 37 million dollars and that puts him in a special class because most guitarist, sad to say a lot of them, end up on drugs and alcohol and they don't know how to manage their money right or they get a bad manager that beats them out of their money, like the manager of Jimi Hendrix did to Jimi Hendrix, and also Joe bonamassa owns his own guitar museum ,and on top of that he has played with Clapton in that special theater over in England that very few guitar players ever get invited to be able to play in, he has traveled all over the world, the motor coach that he travels in when in the United States probably cost more than most people's homes do ,also Joe is very clean cut , goes to prove that you don't have to fill your body with tattoos ,all over your face, and put holes in your ears to be a blues guitarist, and also he was gifted as a very young child and his parents are some swell people that they saw the talent that he had inside of him and they groomed him, they spent time with him and energy and they really were devoted to make sure that that talent rather bloomed into a full blossom professional guitarist. Joe bonamassa will always be in his own special class that puts him in a leading position far and above all others that try to compete with him. Also he has two videos among many others on UA-cam that show him to be very articulated at different times in his life with extreme guitar talent on one of his songs titled ( taking the hit ), that he plays with a special guitar that I've never seen before, never saw a guitar like it before, it looks like it's made of mother of pearl, but he looked to be about 19 years old or so in that video and there's no other human on this planet that could play that song like he played it there on that stage, also the way he played the song( slow gin )in Israel ,is mind blowing , I mean it blew those Jewish people's minds apart to watch him play and sing that song the way he did. There are some talented artists that take a special song, that can do things with it that no other artists can, everybody reading this comment ought to check those two episodes of videos out, taking the hit and slow gin, the one he sang in Israel. Yes for many reasons I think Joe will always be one of my favorite and also it's nice to (not have to listen to a guitar player use bathroom wall language all the time) like a lot of them do, he seems to be more restrained with the way he communicates himself and I appreciate that.
Best in the business I have seen him four times never disappoints he was born about 100 miles north of my hometown upstate NY keeping the Blues alive with all the crapola dominating billboard we still have some refuge from the utter garbage of this era !
Good ol' days. I have that DVD. Spectacular
One of the tightest trios for such a short grouping
I agree. Joe's never been like this performance since. All 3 musicians are young, hungry, extremely gifted, and you can feel it from the first note. All 3 hold their own on that stage. A rare combination that I haven't seen repeated.
Totally agree
It is good.I love him just as much today.Think Joe live, still is very good.
You cant be young forever, but hungry, and he still is....💕😎👍🎸🎶
I agree, Joe, Eric, Kenny. Horns, keyboards, backup singers not needed with this powerful trio!!
OK... We need to start a petition to Joe to get together with the guys and put together a show, times past, alls god.
Whos in?
I just am in awe of Eric Zcar's bass playing style and ability. Watch joe and eric many many years ago doing Hendrix Ïf 6 was 9 and Spanish castle music. Bass masterclass.
Sorry Eric, spelled name wrong..CZAR
The Joe Bonamassa trio was the highlight of JoBos music career!
Excellent playing! As a bassist myself, I'm impressed by eric czar. Crazy!
Nice to see young Joe
Sempre molto “esibizionista” della sua bravura….il genio lo fa inconsapevolmente ❤❤❤❤
Best era
This combo is just great, it's kick ass :-) Love it.
Eric and Kenny wicked jams!!
What can you say, just, O M G.......
UNBELIEVABLE!!! GREAT!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That into is mind-blowing each time
The good ol Joe days.
Better Bonamassa's show EVER
I saw Joe live a year ago and as great as it was this is way way better. Joe you need to come back to this rough dynamic wild playing!
I was a convert when I first bought A New Day Live and whilst there's no denying he's a virtuoso, I agree that this is way better than what he's doing now. That band where so hard and raw.
Eric is one badass bassist!
I have at least 5 DVD's of Joe in various concerts with various musicians in the band and this is the one I will pull out late at night to watch and listen to every time, fantastic concert.
You will respect and enjoy, this surgical artist
I saw this show many times. Viscous rockin guitar and company.
wow .. blown away by all and Joe we all love you but dam the bass player is hot...
yes this fantastic proper rock
Wow!! Joe is the real deal! He's been payin' dues for years and I just hope I'll get to see him live sometime soon. Great interplay between this trio. All great! ✌😊🎸🥁🎸😍
this is his best performance ever!
"So, it's like that" is my favorite album by JB. And I so appreciate his growth as a guitar player and musician. Not to mention the way Joe re-invented his live show and the way he presented himself. Joe is a wealthy cat thanks to his classy live shows. But that "Takin the Hit" is a barn burner along with that entire kickass album recorded way back when. Love it.
This is more like what it should be. Very solid and rock&bluesy. His best formula 😇
This is just mind boggling guitar work. Joe is one of the best, period. Wish he was still with these guys, this power trio was SMOKING HOT!!!
+ryan401 Totally agree. There's no one else on the planet who could handle that show he puts on at the 7:24 mark. I watch it over and over again all the time. Even Page, Beck and Clapton had to be in awe.
Powerful stuff. Joe is the best guitarist of the modern era!
Esse baixo é inacreditável e insano. AMO!
wauw, Eric is a master
If I was a billionaire I would pay Joe and Eric to form a band and stay together. Maybe "The Czars of Smokin Guitars". They are equally virtuousic and unmatched in the history of humanity.
Ooo-baby, how cool was that!?
What a great performance !! Joe and Eric pair so amazingly in the guitars and the drummer is also great. German audience is on fire. Great show, I bought this DVD!!
I MUCH prefer this style of playing vs the Vegas Act style he's been doing lately.
Joe really shows off in this video
so BADASS!
Love this trio. Killer band.
This was the best blues rock trio.. 15 years ago. Now, it's the Phil Sayce trio.
This piece is Eric Czar. He drives the Rap out of it.
One of the best Blues and Rock guitarist I have ever seen. Amazing.
3 elements of musical style infused perfectly; rock, bass and funk by one tight band. Marvellous.
This 3 piece line up was so powerful. The first time I ever saw Joe was around '04 time frame with these two backing him. He opened for Frampton and blew everyone away. From the moment he walked on stage he owned it. Also, love the Frampton Do you Feel outro solo! Nice.
I listen to this maybe thousand fucking times; then I dance to it in my head, matching moves with notes and riffs and base. Get down and dirty.
Mountain time, down by the river, so many hits on this concert. It always amazed me how respectful the crowds are there.
Best line up ever. Real shame Joe has lost some of this raw energy. Kenny Kramme on drums and Eric Czar on bass awesome.
We get older.
YES! Joe, Eric, Kenny. Period!!
I love the dad bod Joe days.
Why would you not have this bass player forever..lol
You really are the very best 🎸🎶
A Massive Classic of Rock Guitar....ever witnessed by Humans...Joe B. and Eric the Czar of electric Bass...one of best live shows of all times..."Beautiful and Ferrous" !!
Killer team, bass player specifically! Cliff burton-esque!!
Great to hear. Hadn't seen this Rockpalast footage before. The guy on the bass is kickass here.
This has become my go to UA-cam track... It does not get old
Just great Joe.... Richard ❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️
2021 and I keep coming back to this video. What a amazing trio this guys were. Maybe it's one of the best DVDs I own, for sure
Damn! Sucked up all dem influences all his life, now he is pourin them back out in Spades! Get Down!
Love JB no matter what the lineup is but for me he never sounded better than at this point. Great Band. Great song.
How can it get any better???
Great intensity!
Simmering 😎💥
Saw Joe twice in Belfast, great concerts before he changed his image. I think this is the best concert he's ever done. This is what a power trio is all about, controlled rawness!
Are you kidding me? Get out of town and give it up for these guys. Of course Joe, blew it away, but the bass player? Madman!!
Just fucking awesome
Not sure if I've already said this but I like the drummer and bass player. They are wickedly talented and compliment Joe very well.
Kenny and Eric were the cats PJs for sure. Great players... dynamite back up.
Coooooll!!!!!!!!!
After listening to this for 3 minutes; I hear Robben Ford licks from the same time period. After he starts singing I hear SRV; Then I hear some Terry Kath and some Clapton.. Influences are to be celebrated, someone is keeping these players alive and innovating on their styles. Go JOE!!
Man I Just Keep coming Back To Watch This... Some Really Fantastic Sounds Right Here !!!

Love the pirate!
Yep Joe was foeking great, now he has become big and something is lost he had here. Nowadays you pay 100 euro's for crappy seats just to see a whole orchestra + mister Bonamassa in the distance. I don't want a whole orchestra, just these three guys will do.
unfortunatelythats what happens when you go more main stream, more people prefer what he does now
Eric Czar is a genius. Right up there with Stanley Clarke. I wish he were still playing with Smokin' Joe.
'Caffeine' on his channel is ridiculous!
Ben Myers it sure is! Sick
meowykzowy Godlovvin good stuff
Amazing bassist. This is one of my favorite JB tracks, just the live vibe is incredible
What effect is Eric using here? Is it just chorus and reverb or is there a pedal for that tone?
Fantastic!!!!!
One of the greatest rock DVD's ever.
Totally agree..I had to have this DVD.. an overload of talent!
Wowww 💎💎💎💪💪💪👍👍👍
The best song in the Rockpalast lineup.
Beck, Bogert & Appice would be happy n´proud.......same magic.heavyyy....fantastic musicans !!!
All three are outstanding, Joe, the drummer and the base player!
Richtig gut 👍 🎸
Thumbs up if you want Fat Joe back... I sure do:)
GO JOE !
