We had a flood last year and our gardens and orchard where destroyed and now because the dirt was contaminated, we won’t have a garden for at least another two years. 😢 We grew enough Food to fead a family of ten.
Just a couple of tips: lettuce you can cut the leaves off one inch from the soil and they will grow back. Arugula is a permanent crop. If you cut it one inch from the soil it will grow back each year. It does start to dwindle around 5 years and ready for a new planting. I live in a 40 degree below climate and they come back strong. Lol Melissa you are correct. It is each side and either means one or the other. Either you do or you don't. Love the discussions.😂

Melissa is correct regarding the either/each usage. The shower looks fantastic and I was dubious about the grout being so close to the tile color, but I was wrong! Y'all are officially tile pros!
I want to make a suggestion on the greenhouse you are planning on building. Have you thought about building an in ground greenhouse? I have one that is four feet in the ground and it is amazing! I can grow tomatoes in it from April-November, when my normal growing season is only mid June-mid September. My neighbor has an above ground and it still freezes later in the spring and earlier in the fall. The ground in my greenhouse never freezes. The ground outside is usually frozen soild November through March here. That is quite the difference. I have done a little winter gardening with greens. They didn't grow much during the coldest months, but they lived and I had beautiful greens extra early with a covered box inside the greenhouse. Just a suggestion to look into this type of greenhouse, you won't be disappointed. Just be aware that too deep can block light on the south side.
Melissa, you reminded me of a you tube short yesterday with your "either" or "both" to Jeremey. A young woman was looking at her husband's phone list of contacts. She said, "Who is this name "Jumper cables?" He replied, "That's you, I changed your name." Her, "Well, why did you change it to jumper cables?" Him, "Because you're always starting something." The look on her face was priceless.
Those giant zucchinis are great for putting meatloaf into. Just slice off near one end scoop out the seeds, fill up with meat loaf. Re attach end piece with toothpicks. Put in oven at 350°F for an hour or so, been a while since I've done it myself so time and temp are approximate. After cooked just slice like a loaf of bread and enjoy... Love your content. Such an example of a loving family. Truly a blessing. Thank you!
Suggestions for the giant pumpkins: Back in the 1970s and 1980s we used to can the pumpkin cut in cubes of approximately 1cm covered in lemon juice and sugar water. It made a delicious desert. Mashed pumpkin makes a very good filler for jams. Especially with very sour fruits using mashed pumpkin as a filler greatly reduces the amount of sugar needed for the final product.
