    Dr Shikha is a boon to people. Her diet plans are extremely effective and this is one channel which actually helps you fulfil everything that it claims. I lost 24kgs in 5-6 months and I am super happy that I came across this channel randomly surfing UA-cam. All the recipes are immensely easy and require no funky food items. Dr Shikha actually shares recipes of items readily available in Kitchen. Extremely pocket friendly and 100% effective at the same time.

    *My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*

    I am a 57 year old ,working woman .I have successfully lost 10 kg in 2 months .I am really happy because I can't believe I have reached 57 kg from 67kg .I have taken a longer time than others but it's ok I guess.

    The diet that she is recommending may be useful for pre-diabetic people. This diet cannot reverse who is already on medicine or on insulin. Type 2 diabetic is caused because of insulin resistance. So your aim should be to decrease insulin resistance and increase insulin sensitivity. If you eat too frequently it will spike your insulin. Every time you eat, the body releases insulin so it will never help you in decreasing the insulin resistance. The best way is too maintain 4 hours gap between each meal and minimize your carbohydrate intake to 90-100 gm per day. That's the only way you can reverse your diabetes. Good luck🤞

    The fact is diabetes is a inherited disease..means genes of
    Type 2 Diabetes mellitus(most common one) can be transferred from parents to child, but unhealthy lifestyle, stress and other environmental factors along with this inheritance play a role in bringing out the disease. Hence life style should be given more emphasis as not all inherited will always develop the disease.So yes parents having diabetes puts children on higher risk of the disease but is not the sole factor for diabetes.

    For diabetes reversal, intermittent fasting is suggested so that blood insulin goes down, and cells become sensitive to insulin again. You have suggested to eat every 2 hours that will keep blood insulin high all the time and will further make diabetes worse. Please check the latest developments in diabetes reversal

      My understanding of IF intermittent fasting is you may eat say for 8hrs and fast for 16hrs. With in that 8hrs you may eat 3 or 4 times. 16/8hrs 5/2day etc are different IFs to suit your convenience.

      Eat every 2 hrs means normal 4 meals is divided into 8 meals.... So it will not increase Insulin level but maintain glucose level... I m an IDDM patient...

      I won't suggest I F fasting for diabetic people..as a pharmacist ...they feel hungry they need good healthy food actually they should eat every 2 hours ..

    This is a very informative and educational video. Great recipes and advice! My two cents is that each body is different and no one diet plan is suitable for everybody! When following any advice or input it is your responsibility to check the effect on your sugar level . One persons go to blood sugar control food might trigger a spike in your blood sugar. Adjusting portions and ingredients are always helpful in a better health and life! Hats off to Dr. Shikha Singh for this informative video and the way of explaining it in such easy terminology that it was really a pleasure listening to her and comprehend the gist of the message!     I have a quick question, as per your saying that if we follow then diabetes will revert back to normal which technically means his/her cell will start behaving to normal as it was behaving before i.e getting proper diet from food it takes rather than getting energy from FATs etc..

    Please tell me in what subject you are a doctor? At 18:50 you said Diabetes patient should eat every 2 hours. Please research about it. Isn't intermittent fasting e.g. 16:8 helpful in reversing it? rather then eating frequently?

    I have a kid 2.5 years old. He recently diduct type 1 Diabetic. He was very serious, when we knew about his diabetic. Also he was suffering Ketoasidosis. And he was admitted for 7 days in Narayana hospital.
    My question is for him.. can his diabetic be treated or not. Because he is too young

    Amazing video! I haven't come across a resource that describes this topic in such a comprehensive manner. I really liked how you focused on the causes or an explanation on what this condition is. Of course I clicked on this video mainly for diet plans that are Indian/desi. You didn't disappoint there either. I gotta try the recipes now. Thank you very much Dr. Singh! I do have a question for you. What do you think of Dr. Jason Fung's Intermittent Fasting (IF) as a cure to Diabetes? Maybe I shouldn't say "cure". Let's say for reversing diabetes. What do you think about Autophagy? You mentioned the need for feeding (for a diabetic) every two hours. You emphasized it more than one time in the video. But this is opposite to IF, extended fasts, autophagy. I wanted your (science based) opinion as a doctor. Do you have any studies or clinical trials showing the efficacy of the suggested diet plans in reversing the diabetes? I would choose your plan over fasting any day. I just want to know if it is proven. Fasting is hard!! Thank you again and hoping to hear back from you

      This doctor is advising diabetics to eat rice and the things that are made with flour PLUS, they should also eat EVERY 2 HOURS!
      Eating so frequently means that their blood glucose would be raising each time, which is NOT GOOD!
      This is ANOTHER doctor who DOES NOT KNOW that sometimes diabetes is caused by genetics and NOT by eating unhealthy!
      In MY family with diabetic parents and ten siblings eating the same food, 6 got diabetes and 4 DID NOT but, their children did! It skipped a generation!
      NO DOCTORS, could've answered my question (why it is that 4 siblings did not get diabetes but instead, their children did?); NOT A SINGLE DOCTOR!
      DIABETES IS ALSO CAUSED BY GENETICS AND, NOT ONLY BY UNHEALTHY EATING!
