- Adding the Type S splitter is easy and a direct fit on all 2021 2022 Acura models. Uses all factory hardware so nothing else is needed. Removing the center trim is the hardest part of this whole process. It took me over an hour to do. Continue working that center piece by depressing the clip as you pull. Eventually it will loosen enough to come off.

The tlx needs more aftermarket customization, it's just suffering. I wish yofer had a kit for it.

Just kinda wish Acura would've just sold this kit as two side pieces instead while keeping the middle part as it looks the same. This would've saved a lot of time and money. They could also use double sided tape to join the pieces together too.
Question tho. Did you have any thoughts of waiting for the new Integra instead? Saying that it has a manual transmission, better on gas, and being a hatchback as well? Lots of other stuff too like a touchscreen! Hehe and wireless Carplay & Android Auto. I know it has less power so I guess you can't go backwards right? 😉
The TLX looks nicer overall though.

The INTEGRA is nice. Maybe I’ll get one later 😂. They actually seem to be pretty roomy too. Maybe I’ll test one out 🤔

@@HondaJon I was going to go to a dealer and buy them bc nobody has a tutorial on YT for the 2021+. They are pricey but it definitely adds a unique look to it
I agree. It does seem pretty easy since it’s plug and play but I just hate to disassemble interior parts on these cars.

I haven’t seen any but I have seen the installation instructions. You just have to pull up the carpet on the edges and then pull off a few pieces of trim and then it’s mainly running the wires and then they plug-in
Hey where did you buy the splitter and side skirts from? It’s so expensive from Acura.
I found a parts store online that had them on a deal. I know they aren’t cheap no matter how you get them. They make a huge difference in the appearance though.

Yes with the rear seat down.
Did you not order the 2 plastic brackets that attach to the splitter? I didn’t see it on the splitter. AHC garage had them installed in their tlx video. I ordered them and attached to the splitter as well. It may be for reinforcement but it bolts right up to splitter. I haven’t installed splitter yet.

@@HondaJon I think the bumper would have to be removed. That’s how I was going to install it anyways

Watch the AHC garage video of their white TLX where they install a few mods including that splitter. They show what the brackets look like and how they attach. I feel dumb if I didn’t need them lol

@@ElusiveAura you don’t need them. It’s just extra protection. Instead of the just the inner protection, it’s all the clips on the bottom being used as support. It’s nice but everyone knows lips aren’t meant to last that long but it’s up to the person tbh

Do you need to remove the rubber guard if you're gonna put it back on again at the end?
You do since it slides in between the splitter. It only take a few seconds to slide it in
@HondaJon can you slide the splitter between the rubber guard and the slot on the top end without taking it out 🤔? (I do appreciate you're help given it's been a few years since your post)
@Cup0joe23 I would just take it out. It’s so easy to remove once you take the clips out. Then after you have the splitter in just slide this in the slot and push all the pins back in. It would be harder the other way b

Hi. You have to press one on each side of that center part. It’s a pain to do but just keep working on it and you’ll eventually get it. I don’t have any pictures unfortunately

Yeah. They are just really hard to remove. Be patient and you’ll get it.
