      Dommage qu'ils n'aient pensé ce vélo que comme un 29 pouces, en mullet tu te retrouves avec une longueur de base arrière identique à la version full 29 et si tu le passes en low tu obtiens un angle de direction de 63,2 degrés donc plus orienté gravity que les modèle freeride et DH. Un paradoxe ce nouveau Tyee, tu ne trouves pas ? Ils auraient du penser chaque configuration avec une géométrie qui lui est propre à chaque fois ou bien permettre d'ajuster les bases.

    • @remymetailler
      @remymetailler  Рік тому +4

      Non pas du tout. Avec le flip chip tu garde une geometrie quasiment identique. Angle de chasse de 64 ou 64.5.

      Hey Remy! Just a quick question regarding the seat post: why did you shim it down to 170mm? I see there's enough space left above the seat clamp to use the full 180mm. I'm just curious what's the reason behind this. 🤓✌

    Cool! Bon point pour le passage de câble sur le boitier de pédalier. J'ai failli tout arracher sur le mien récemment. Ce qui serait top c'est quel le nouveau triangle arrière avec le flip chip soit compatible avec le modèle précédent (et qu'il soit vendu en pièce détachée) pour pouvoir le passer en mullet!

    That front mud guard, is it a DVO specific or can you mount it to any fork?

  • @overseer_grimal
    @overseer_grimal Рік тому +1

    Seat tube length is still a bit too long, 450mm on size L. I wouldn't be able to use droppers longer than 170mm.
    Would be nice to have a tool case in the downtube like Trek, SantaCruz and Orbea cut in. I don't like external tool mount because everything is getting covered in mud and dust.
    Flip chip is nice. Also, would be nice to see geometry tables for all the possible combinations. At the moment there are only recommended options on the website.
    Headtube cable routing is OK. I don't maintain my bikes so frequently that it could become a major problem.
    The best improvements are geo, fixed cables near the rear wheel and mullet options.
    Also, I like the fact it uses 160 fork and 210*55 shock. Theoretically I can order a frame and migrate almost every component from my current bike to the new tyee

    • @remymetailler
      @remymetailler  Рік тому

      The seat tube is short enough I think. You should be able to fit a 180 from One Up or 210 slammed to the bottom.

    Its pretty much mandatory to use a coil shock on the Tree, as most reviewers say. I´we never had air shock on my Tree, but it was a no brainer to get the coil. Loving my 2020 AL and will probably never buy another bike. Its just perfect, except for the cable routings.

    • @amhtxc2960
      @amhtxc2960 Рік тому

      I have the Alu 2020 as well. Heavy and burly, perfect for a big and clumsy guy. The key point is that it pedals very well even with the coil shock, with very good middle travel support. With coil-like air shocks, with a large negative pressure chamber it works awesome too, and it is lighter. I alternate between the coil RS Super Deluxe ultimate and the air CaneCreek Double Barrel Airline and could not be happier. The down cablerouting is the only flaw in this all-rounder beast, but it takes 15 mins and a few zip ties to solve.

In return I get a super reliable and easy to setup drivetrain that doesn't cost near as much initially or if something does get sacrificed to a rock.

That sounds like a regurgitated line said by a news organization who publicly admits to lying to their viewers and has used the stupidity of their viewership arguing "no reasonable person believes what we say to be true" as the sworn-on-the-bible stated-under-oath-in-court reason they're not expected to tell the truth or be held liable in defamation cases.
