The way the game portrayed the “mysterious man” makes it sound like George Washington was conversing with the devil himself.
It’s like the “Mysterious Man” is a part of George’s conscience or ideas from the apple still lingering, testing George, but he’s not falling for it, he’s doing what’s best for his nation.

I personally wished that the Washington of the Main Game had somehow found his way here to confront his evil self. They fight while Connor is desperately trying to reach them both.

Yep. The Society of the Cincinnati asked for Washington to assume the role of king with a military power by his side and he refused. The greatest men are those who come to grasp ultimate power and manage to put it down. Something the likes of Caesar couldn't do.

+DDespicable Well in the game it is just an hallucination, probably a leftover lingering side effect from using the Apple of Eden. But Washington did deny being king of the new country on multiple occasions, including what NeonTime said. This specific instance however seems to be based off of the Newburgh letter, a letter sent to Washington in 1782 (which is around the same time in the game) by Colonel Lewis Nicola. He complained about the lack of reasonable payment for the soldiers in the continental army (which Washington was working on but the new nation didn't have much money) and claimed that scene Washington was Commander in Chief and had a lot of power and prestige in the colonies he may as well be called king, or something similar to king. Washington was very opposed to that and responded with a letter calling his idea "the greatest michief that could befall my country". After that no one else really challenged washington's position on the matter. Ubisoft took that letter and condensed it into what you hear in the game and in my opinion it sounds REALLY FREAKING COOL! Both in real life and the game its one of the best George Washington moments! so the person he is talking to could be Colonel Lewis Nicola.

In my theory-
Washington found the apple somehow, Connor told him not to look into it or something, he did anyway, and they both saw an alternate reality where the world would be taken by Washington. This ending shows the results of what he saw in the apple. That's my theory, please do not complain that its the worst ever made. Give better criticism.
If you collect all the fragments it show how they look into the simulation.

Connor is amazing character in Assassin's creed 3, but I wonder why everyone hates him?
It's because his character development, he's too soft and got easily tricked by everyone.
The whole missions was Connor doing someone's errand so he could find Charles Lee, that's a weak goal.

I know this is just a video game DLC, but that line has always stuck with me since and has given me chills and goosebumps. It goes to show how easy it is for our sub conscious mind’s to corrupt and distort our once good intentions into devious, selfish and backwards one’s. At the end of the day, we really are our own worst enemy.

As much as I loved the main game in AC 3, I have to say the Tyranny of King Washington DLC was actually better than the main game (better story and the end boss is just too epic).
I wondr if Washingtons last words here, his response to the proposal of becoming King of America, are actual historically accurate words form Washington himself.

The doc is kinda playing on the fact that historically Washington didn't want to be placed into a position of power as that of a king or what would be president. It wasn't until they thought up how the president would work and their powers would be balanced did he agree to lead/represent the new nation
Back then there was no 4 years presidency. He could've stayed president forever and yet he resigned. What a great man he was
No one should ever have too much power. With so much power you can feel like your on top of the world. For example some kids have a ton of stuff. They have many devices, don’t have to pay for anything, and usually they will get lazy and become a brat expecting to get everything. So if this was the same for a adult with so much power can cause chaos. No one should rule the world alone or have complete power over a nation.

It depends on the game. If I remember correctly; I'm using fraps in this video. To achieve this smooth video: the source video must be 60 fps, then render it to 30 fps with resample mode set to smart resample. The video will be blurry because of ghosting.
