I think I'd cry my eyes out if I was seeing this live. This is truly beautiful music and the ghibli movies have always invoked such emotions through that music.
@Law_captain at a 9 hour flight and the cost of the travel, I think I'll wait til he hits the UK haha, I haven't looked since that comment though so thanks for the reminder to check!
Growing up in the USA in the 80s it was called 'Warriors of the Wind'. Saw it on HBO many times. In later years I came to realize it was heavily edited and poorly translated but, the essence was still the same as well as the great music.
The amount of sheer dedication to the music that all of these individuals came together to compose is quite amazing! I love Joe Hisaishi’s older works as well, definitely look them up if you like this 👍👍
It's such arrogance, but so beautiful that the composer only trusts himself To play the piano introduction *exactly* perfectly as it should be. 1000^10 respect for that man And I love Nausicaa anyway 😂 Did you know they got Patrick Stewart = Jean luc Picard = Prof Xavier As a voice actor for the English version of this???
Hayao Miazaki first creation ever. It’s so beautiful to see all of those musicians, even after years, combine with him. Even though he is old, i hope he continues making all of these dreams, all of these beauties. Always bringing tears to people, but special tears. Joy tears. ❤
We have to save this earth from our selves..human being must be able to understand each other.. otherwise there is no future....that what Nausicaa taught me
I first watched this movie as a kid when Beta video before VHs when horrible original version was sold in US. Over the years and seen the original version and manga... this music just hits soooo hard. This movie and soundtrack was emotional art. Love this video.
The fact that what the Choirs sing is the lyrics of Dies Irae in the introduction part breaks my heart. (That means Day of Wrath) and talks about the apocalypse in which God finally puts an end to everything bad in the world. But even though it is a religious lyric, it adapts perfectly to the message that Nausicaä gives us. The earth is full of anger for what we have done to it, and by the time we want to remedy our horrible situation, it will already be too late.
Don't know if you still need the name, anyway you should be able to find it searching "Nausicaa of the valley of the wind lalala song", there are two versions, the one that's your favourite and anothe oner called "days long gone"

5:10 This scene in the movie, along with the music, was pure magic. The kind of audio-visual artistry that lives in one's mind for their entire life.

Amazing music. Monumental in a way. Hello from Russia.
Modern musician barely compose music in such classical way, this is devastatingly beautiful.
If I was Mr. Hisaishi i would cry hot tears right after because he created perfection in this moment
