I respect Miyazaki’s decision to not make sequels or revisit his worlds and make new ones, but man do I wish we could revisit this one… medieval culture, mysterious religious history, dieselpunk empires, colossal airships, the toxic jungle!! So much was put into this world and it’s just been left for 40 years :(

I was a baby since my father watched this film for the first time, since then I’ve seen this film every year of my life multiple times. Nausicaa was my example, my favorite princess, I always wanted to be her, I feel like her way of thinking just forged me into my personality and I’m so grateful to have chosen her as my example as a kid and all my life.
I read the manga and I just felt peace and wanted to see no harm in the world and made it different.
But the unreal part of the film is that even with my biggest courage to try making people better, I won’t be able to do it alone.
But I always dream to be like her some day and try to change the world

This was the first Ghibli film I truly connected with, at only 6 years old I remember sitting at my kitchen counter looking at a tiny tv screen and watching this for the first time. I had been too young to connect to Spirited Away yet, and wasn't ready for Howl's Moving Castle, but I watched this story about a brave and kind princess of a dying world who saved her people and the creatures around her. I was enraptured from the first scene, and remember sobbing by the end. It still is my all time favorite Ghibli movie and brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it, and the song with a little girl singing in the back was practically my own lullaby. Forever will Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind go down as an absolute masterpiece in every way.

I look back at the soundtrack and it was still good as ever as if it was just brand new. Couldn't think of any other better music arrangements other than this one not simply because of the nostalgia it had given me, but of because it was such an impactful film to my life.
Back then when I was a child, I would get the tone and the exact melody of 3:47 in my head everyday when I had to go back to school. Even now through my tough years, I still have that same EXACT melody inside my head and had NEVER forgotten the title or the scenes I had seen because it was so much in my interest that I payed attention to everything that was happening in the film. That same melody helped me in so much ways I couldn't imagine whether I didn't think about it or not.
    Thanks Studio Ghibi, and Miyazaki.
    And to you too, Hisaishi.
Never would have such a good memory without any of these films, creators, art, and concepts.

Amongst all studio ghibli films, this has the most touch of what's happening in reality. Hatred, pain, and war are the emotions that govern people which destoys them and the world. Nausicaa teaches us to love our people, friends, fmaily, especially those who live on earth with us, wildfire. We are not ohe only ones who live on earth. Be loving and considerate to them as well. Remember that.
