I really DoorDash would show the busy or not busy map when you are dashing. You know when you are dashing, you can flip back to just the regular home screen where the map is? There in that part....DoorDash should have the busy or not busy map inside there. It would just be convenient. Actually the only way I can tell if it's busy in my area is by going to schedule. I look to see if there are any open spots in schedule. If there is I know it's busy or somewhat busy. Same with other cities. If there are no slot times available, you know it's not busy at all.

"Peak pay" "top dasher" "dead miles" etc. All these door dash specific verbiage. Some are kinda self explanatory. But not all. Can you do a video just going over the door dash verbiage? I'm a grandma. Considering door dash. It might just be me who is sometimes lost because of language I don't understand. But I would be eternally grateful

They don’t care because they’re constantly trying to underpay for every order. They don’t even use common sense offers. They’re like the Pawn Shop guy, “best I can do is two dollars. OK $2.25”

100%, companies in basically any industry always try to pay as little as possible to maximize margin. It’s tricky here because we can’t negotiate a salary directly but we can indirectly by only taking the best runs! And we’re allowed to do so as independent contractors

Hi Mike. I don’t know when this was implemented, but I noticed that Doordash now gives you the option to switch zones if you get a delivery that takes you out of yours and the one you ended up in is busier.
Also, in regards of your parking tip, what I usually do is go dashing with my wife. That way, either I stay in the car and she picks up the order so I don’t have to bother too much about parking, or I park wherever and if needed she moves the car. Anyone who is able to go dashing with someone should give it a try at least once.

I've seen the Pizza Hut it's supposed to keep DoorDash pizza bags in stock because of their contract with DoorDash. My first pizza order was at a Pizza Hut in Tulsa. When I asked if they had a spare hot bag for my order, they busted out a rather cheap but useful DoorDash pizza hot bag. I use it as my second hot bag for other orders like McDonald's by standing it on the end.

Navigation is easier if when you’re in the store, you Google map the delivery address and have it ready to go right when you get in car. Left top corner shows you who your delivering too before you click that u picked up the order. Map it first. Then click order picked up and go . I always use my Apple map in my car. The DD map is often slower , freezes etc.

Just re-listened to this… Good information… My acceptance rate is close to 50% right now because I have been getting orders that are more miles than it is Pay… So I am declining… I am in smaller area, about an hour north of Pittsburgh. I can get $100 days, that’s good for here I think… But since my acceptance rate has gotten so low from declining a lot of orders this week, not sure if it is possible… I have also seen a lot of orders that take me out of my zone, so I have refused them also. Unless they are significant pay but today they haven’t been frustrating.

Working all day and evening to earn $100-$200 while using your own car incurs expenses for gas, mileage, and wear and tear, which can be challenging. In contrast, DoorDash corporate employees earn $200,000 to $600,000 annually, equating to around $833 to $2,500 per day for an 8-hour workday. The CEO, Tony, belongs to the billionaire class. This stark contrast raises concerns about fairness, as dashers receive comparatively minimal compensation in what seems like pocket change
