After saying he wasn’t Darrell brooks for 3 weeks he just said “I have 76 charges”
Exactly. This dude is dumber than cheese.
How about he had his birth certificate on him during arrest- where his name was written-
IN CAPITAL LETTERS! 🤦 Whoops

Smart move by the prosecution: got him to admit that he, Darrell Brooks, has 76 charges against him.

Yeah that was stupid on his part it's like didn't kill 7 people I only killed 6
Just "fast maneuvers". 😂
Yesssss. Did you see the smile on the judges face.😊
Haha....
He is the most disgusting excuse for a human being.
Absolutely..! He’s a big mouth narcissistic bully
The only people worse, or at least par, are the racists in the comments, saying they expect this type of thing from a black man.

Reminds me of him telling the judge she should give him a reduction in sense for the one year he’s serve so far. Like that’s gonna do a lot with 900 years!
When he was talking about that there should only be one bail jumping charge and not two, my mind was like.... You ran over, killed and maimed almost 80 people and you're concerned about a silly charge called bail jumping? Wait what????

Omg I had the same reaction!! 🤣🤣🤣
It does. Please don't be like him and get a lawyer cause you clearly know nothing.
@@Pes._ Sure buddy, that one extra count he didn’t have really made all the difference. He got life instead of life.

just saying "woah woah woah" in open court is insane
Most of what Darrell Brooks said during trial was insane, stupid, idiotic, dumb dumber and dumbest all in the same.
I agree with you Emily 💯 percent
I feel like the prosecutor isn't getting enough credit for her part in this trial because of all the attention on Darrel Brooks. She does a great job of laying the foundation, providing sympathy for victims and their families, and showing the Jury who Darrel Brooks is and why he should be charged guilty. She is an excellent attorney.
Totally endorse the second part. I give her due credit. She is a hero.
She also took it upon herself a few times to provide additional explanations of procedure, requested the jury instructions be edited to make him look a bit better, and even reviewed a subpoena request to make sure it was filled out correctly. Everyone did the best they could to ensure Darrell Brooks got a fair trial except Darrell Brooks
@@alyssariceYT yes!!! They were literally helping his dumb self along the whole way explaining things and giving him copies of stuff etc and he still continued to be rude it was ridiculous
Yes, They really did an excellent job with their presentation - very convincing - went step by step - very strategic and deliberate order of calling the witnesses - fact finding and storytelling
@@alyssariceYT well said
Interesting how the judge just paused and smiled at DB after he pointed out the incorrect number of charges against HIM--thus admitting that he is, in fact, Darrell Brooks! Wondering if the prosecutor purposely laid this trap and Brooks walked right into it! 😉
Clever ;)
A good tactic!
👏👏👏
I think it was deliberate on her part, smart move.
Epic!
The way Judge Dorrow smiled at Sue Opper during her mistake was like "oh ok girl I see you"
Yessss. I just commented about that. They danced circles around him the entire time and he was to stupid to realize that 🙄
He’s mr MathBoi remember
yes the judge was absolutely thrilled and COMPLETELY satisfied with that .!!!!!!! Judge Dorrow NEVER smiled like that during the whole trial.!!!!!!!!!

If he had a tissue, he was prepared; it was a prop.
Not psychopath..sociopath...he has no respect for others
He deserves NOTHING other than life in Prison!!!
I never ever knew you could do objections during closing arguments. I’ve served on 2 trials, one a murder trial, and no one ever objected during closing arguments. This dude is batshit crazy.
I’ve always wanted to get called for jury duty, what’s it like?
Objections are possible in closing arguments, but only if the closing argument asserts facts not in evidence or tells the jury to do something they’re not supposed to. For example, despite all the warnings not to, Darryl Brooks still tries to talk about jury nullification in his closing argument. The prosecutor objects, the judge sustains it, and it’s stricken from the record.
When he was objecting during the testimony of a mother of the victims, I was truly baffled.
@@knndyskful It's a colossal burden. Everything takes forever to happen, and you're faced with a depressing display of the worst of humanity. I remember at my first trial thinking "These awful people aren't my PEERS!"
@@dnwitte wow, thanks for the insight
GREAT JOB DONE to the DA’s office!! Darrell Brooks.received the only fair sentence that was available to him. He earned his sentence. Judge Dorow, You are an excellent judge!
I wonder if she intentionally made that “math mistake” to get him to object. Then points out to the jury with his own words that he has 76 charges.
yeah it was as the Judge smirks at her
Definitely. He got it on the record that he can hear from the other courtroom, he can object, and the Judge will hear his objections and sustain them when they are fair and legitimate!
Also it proves he does understand the charges against him too.
Simliar to the music video trap and that voicemail trap, he stepped on the trap😅
100%. Loved it
"People knocked right out of their shoes."
God help us all.
Sad part is he doesn't realize acting like this does not make the jury or the public opinion improve for him. It hurts him more than anything else. There have been gangsters, Serial killers who have acted better than he has
And he’s both
@@jordancase4373 he is NO g@ngster
He does realize it makes it no better for him in the public and eyes of the jury. His goose is cooked and please believe HE KNOWS THAT... his only gleam of hope is a mistrial and he knows that
Came here to say exactly this
Ted Bundy, another narcissistic sociopath, also acted as his own attorney. And Bundy was about 48 million times smarter than this guy. Bundy was convicted despite having multiple lawyers advising him. So Brooks doesn't stand a chance. If this tragedy had taken place he would get the death penalty for sure.
The prosecutor has brought me to tears, I am so very sorry for everyone who were killed, hurt and witnessed this.
That ‘grinchy grin’ on Judge Dorow’s face after DB corrected Attorney Opper on the counts against him was priceless! So much for, “I don’t consent to that name”!!

I wish she put emphasis on it to the jury that he just admitted to being the person charged in this case instead of of a “alleged defendant” 😆
I understand as DA, you sign up for this job but this woman is clearly so affected by this case. You can see the wear on her face and feel it in her words. She poured her all into getting justice for every single one of these victims and this man made a mockery of not only the families pain but also of our judiciary system all the while insisting he was a sovereign citizen crying over his “rights.” The same rights he took away from law abiding citizens that should have all went home that day. What a sick, sick individual. I feel so terribly for these families and I feel the angst and frustration this DA dealt with trying to keep her composure coming up against someone who is at best, a wild animal, not a human being.
Definitely, he will have alot of time to reflect on his actions as he spends the rest of his miserable life in Prison. Erica Patterson and the rest of Society should finally feel safe from him.

Sue Opper makes me proud to be left handed.
In this trial, I was really impressed with Erica Patterson. She may be young, and Darrell Brooks may have stolen her childhood. But, this young lady handled this whole trial, including her own victimization, with incredible class and grace. I hope your life keeps getting better, Erica. I think you deserve that. You are a class act♥️ I bet your Mom is proud♥️

Yes, Erika Patterson
was impressive. She faced him with the truth and Brooks could not intimate her.
EP's evidence was pivotal in prosecuting Brooks.
Imagine the violence and abuse she suffered at Brooks hands. She was seduced by him at the age of 15 and he is on the sex offender registry.
I hope she will be supported into the future with her alcohol addiction. At least Brooks is permanently out of her life.
The "whoa whoa whoa, I have 76 charges not 77" made him admit he was Darrell Brooks and he understood the charges. Well played, Mrs. Opper, well played....
Lol yeah you caught that too. This happened numerous times throughout the trial as well. There was never any question regardless, and home boy here wasn't getting off on a technicality after running over an entire parade of people.
The defendant asked the homeowner who let him in to use the phone "is something going on downtown?" The defendant was fishing and baiting the homeowner to see if he knew that someone just killed several people. He ditched his SUV to hide what he had done! She did a fantabulous job in that closing argument! She was able to contradict all of his ridiculousness and hopeless defense!
yes she did great lawyer
Yes , she laid out the basics and was thorough putting all the pieces together.
Pulled no punches. She got to say to this pos what she has been holding in for weeks. Rebuttal was beautiful. “You can read the bible all you want but……”
I mean...she's probably a capable prosecutor, but her job in this case is like a boxer fighting a kid in a wheelchair. In fact, the prosecution could have just passed on everything and let Brooks indict himself.
I don't know why but I have a real fear that this sick bastard can get away with it. He may seemed stupid but when it came to showing his ass, it really wasn't in front of the jury. They never saw it. He picked his words carefully when the jury was around to really make himself sound better and when the judge or the DA was talking, he would object and make arguments that would get out of hand which forces the judge to dismiss the jury. That would make it look like the judge doesn't have control in the courtroom.
I'm convinced all his jailmates convinced him to pull the sovereign citizen card, so that they had entertainment on the rec room TV lol
They probably were like look at this fool 💀🤣 what dumb ass guys he actually used it
I agree🤣🤣
His mother used it in a case a few years back and I believe she won the case but not because of the sovereign BS. He was in protective custody in jail because the other inmates wanted to hurt him. They were spitting in his food and they were gonna beat his ass but he was in protective custody.
I thought that too. 😂
Objection . Talking down ???! He hates that fact that there are two women he can’t control and bully .
It’s HIS job to talk down to women. No stuck up woman has the right to talk down to him. He doesn’t believe a woman should have the right to speak at all.
Isn't it great to see them run circles around him in more ways than one. He tried hard to run them, but he finally realized that he was never in charge, especially when she cut off his testifying and the calling of more witnesses. He thought if he didn't answer her questions that he could stall the proceedings. 😊
That is exactly right. Honestly, I don't think he cares about being innocent. He wants to be right and have control. HE HAS ZERO CONTROL. BOTTOM LINE

omg the notes he holds up saying *OBJECTION* Lmfao it's like that chappelle show skit. 🤣
OMG LOL IT IS
Right 😬
“FIF” 😂😂😂
I about lost it!! 🤣
@@eclecticsoul2514 dang, I was gonna say that 😆
Oh my god he finally made a legitimate objection! It only took him until closing arguments.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
He thinks that’s gnna save his ass now lmao 🤣
Yeah and he accepted the 76 charges in the name of db!
He also proved to the jury and to any attempted appeal court that he is in full communication with the proceedings. Smart move by the prosecution.
Objection……Leading
@@kelliannbyrnes9335 haha I laughed after that comment
He can act perfectly polite and professional when it is about him trying to win some sympathy from the jury. 😡 So we all know he’s not crazy!
Yes ur so right and then he has the audacity to say he was treated unfair by the judge...oh man he has some gaul
Objeckshion! I only have 76 charges, not 77! 😂😂😂💀
Well played Attorney Opper.
Well played. 👏
Finally admits he’s Darrell Brooks, and all 76 charges are HIS. 😂
I can watch this over and over again and I still can’t get why he’s so concerned with whether he has 67, 76, or 6 charges. He committed MURDER which in Wisconsin he automatically gets life. What difference does it make? I’m just asking!!!
It matters to his ego and his image. That is what is important to him and that is why he reacts so vehemently to any statement, implication, or evidence that he is the perpetrator, that he is guilty. Typical narcissistic priorities when there are 6 deceased people and 61 others injured, and the witnesses and their families who deserve to be top priority.
Wow, that Prosecutor is; or seems; very emotional, when she talks about all of the victims. This has been hard on her.
You have to be a monster to not get emotional watching this. A child and innocent dancing grannies were senselessly killed for nothing.
@@talandelana6873 not to mention the 60 other people injured. Kids with their faces and teeth bashed out. Broken bones, the medical bills, physical therapy. He not only killed 6 people he heavily injured a bunch of other people who are going to live with these injuries for months to years.
Anyone whose watched this and seen the devastation gets emotional. This is a small community. Even me across the country not knowing anyone involved I’ve cried several times hearing witness testimony and even from victims HE called. He goes on and on about how HE has kids youngest the age of one of his victims and somehow now has a newborn, even though he’s been in jail since it happened. He really is incapable or normal human emotions or empathy.. compassion. He plays off those emotions of others but doesn’t possess them himself
@@weenfain2321 I wonder if he is telling half truths when it comes to the newborn. His 15 year old daughter just had a baby, so I wonder if he is referring to that baby in hopes that the jury will assume it’s actually his child
@@lafatte24 also imagine witnessing the things that happened that day. Hearing their screams. He turned such a beautiful day into a nightmare.
He should have pledged guilty from the start and take his punishment like a man so the family’s didn’t have to go through this for weeks.
Unfortunately, he’s like an unruly toddler who gets mad when he’s not getting attention.
the judge looks like wonder woman
His unwavering belief that he is just that little bit smarter than everyone on the Prosecution team and the Judge is something to behold. Frankly, if I were a juror I’d have noted this the second he opened his stupid mouth on day one and have spent the remainder of the trial relishing the thought of his incarceration and the reception he’d get in jail for killing innocent kids.
He is just a terd that I just flushed down the toilet lol 😆
As a father and grandfather, I started writing here to explain exactly what I think should happen to this evil coward. But it would likely be removed.
I'm simply going to say that I hope any fathers and grandfathers in the same prison as him, 'explain to him' the heartbreak he has caused.
After watching the trial its abundantly clear why this happened, you can literally see how he gets upset like he did that day, threw a tantrum like he did that day and unfortunately he was behind the wheel and there was a parade that day. No doubt whatsoever if it wouldn't have been this, something like this was bound to happen with him.
Exactly
His mother gave an interview where she told about confronting him and telling him he would have to pay for all the deaths and destruction! She warned he was mentally ill and we'd see manic behavior. I also feel SO SORRY for her in my heart! 💖💖😢🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💞💝💕💓
@@deborahturner1853 she created this monster. Not just by giving birth but she raised him. Molded him.
@@tessahall797 I think it’s important to remember he’s grown. Our parents can leave us scars but at a certain age it’s up to u to identify and change when needed. It’s not the mothers fault by now. It’s him and him alone. She cannot control his mental illnesses.
@@tessahall797 I could not agree with you more. She is filthy and despicable. She called him a "caged bird" after lying and saying she learned the poem "Why the Caged Bird Sings" in 7th grade for Black History Month (which simply cannot be accurate because she's nearly 60 and Black History Month was not a thing until 1986; such a stupid, inconsequential thing to lie about), then after ten minutes of making excuses for her rabid animal of a son, she trotted that poem out, mispronounced Maya Angelou's name and proceeded to read it for dramatic effect. She did nothing but enable and make excuses for him throughout he duration of this trial, just as she did throughout his life. She knew he was sleeping with a 15 year old girl when he was 25, she witnessed him abusing his child victim physically and emotionally in her own household, she saw him father numerous children and bailed him out continuously when he refused to support any of them. She witnessed him shooting at his nephew, the son of her deceased daughter, and supported him in that incident. She allowed him to use her vehicle, knowing he didn't have a license to drive in any state. She bailed him out of jail approximately a week after he assaulted and ran over the mother of one of his children with her car, the she put that same car back into his hands despite what he'd done with it. Less than 48 hours later he committed the atrocities he was tried for here. While he was in jail, she is on recording colluding with him to attempt to fool the FOUR psychiatrists who evaluated him for mental illness. She attempted to coach him on how to "act" mentally ill so he could fool those experts and assert an insanity defense. She sent him research materials on the symptoms of mental illness for that purpose. She conspired with him and sent him photos of his children as infants so he could attempt to use those to further victimize Erica Patterson while she was on the stand. She was recorded doing just that on a jail call with the feral subhuman piece of filth she gave birth to. She then, in a final, despicable act of support to him, sent him materials in an effort to attempt to help him blame his actions on the nonexistent recall of her vehicle. She helped create, nurture, foster and enable the monster that Darrell Brooks is, and she is responsible, although to a lesser extent, for most of the crimes he's committed in his life. Either because she directly helped him by making excuses or bailing him out, or because she indirectly supported and enabled his criminal and animalistic behaviors throughout his adulthood, by supplying him with monetary and emotional support and endless excuses. His fake "grandmother" at least admitted he'd done what he did, but then used her statement in front of the world to pimp out herself and her mental outreach "ministry". It's clear he came from a long line of selfish, irresponsible, co dependent, enabling pieces of garbage, but he's a 40 year old "adult" and could have chosen to rise above his raising. He just didn't care to do so because entitlement and selfishness are far easier than hard work and responsibility. I don't feel sorry for his sorry excuse for a mother. She failed her children and continues to fail her grandchildren at every turn. She has no relationship with most of her grandchildren, and would rather her vacant, soulless offspring stayed out of jail, free to kill and maim further victims, than admit that perhaps he's not mentally ill, and that he's just a worthless, empty, irredeemable piece of excrement, who has forfeited his right to ever breathe a single breath of free air again. It's too bad she can't be charged with conspiracy or collusion for any of her actions, but seeing him locked in a cage for the rest of his miserable life will have to serve as the justice we are entitled to as a society in this situation.
And doesn't he just hate having all these women around him with power over him, and whom he can't control or abuse. Love it.
Ya he'll have issue with any female staff at the prison too. It would be fun to watch and bring me so much joy to see him be put in his little pathetic place. When they tell him to stfu and throw him in a tiny cell!
Oh yeah Veronica! He most certainly does! Serves him right.
Now he can never do that to another woman let cuz he will never see one again
That's not even a valid driver's license!! That's a non driver id!!
And Dawn enabler Brooks, put the weapon in his control, KNOWING this.
The entire time he is locked up, he is going to complain that he was the victim and claim he was railroaded and stripped of his constitutional rights!
yeah complain to a wall and his metal toilet 😭🤣 perfect for a narcissist who feels the need to he constantly heard by everyone.
I hope he genuinely believes it, I hope he feels truly not guilty, and I hope it burns....really burns.
He’s a sex offender guilty of statutory. If he goes to general population he’ll be violently killed. Even if he’s in protective custody someone could still get him. He’s going to live his remaining life in fear like those people at the parade.
6life sentences and about 738 and a half years prison sentence. I think he knew he was doomed and had nothing to lose.
I just love District Attorney Sue Opera! She's always on point and knows how to push his buttons so the jury can see how quickly he gets angered, and in essence showing them how he reacts to not getting his way
Yes and sue and the entire prosecution team held their statements in so many situations In this trial.!!
Everyone in that courtroom knows what he is attempting to do...but tbe jury gets the last word in this case and he can cry for the rest of his life, but will never get out of prison.
I hope the other prisoners F him up everyday he's in there!
@@walterhoward3611 I hope so as well. More than likely he is going to run into family members and friends of his victims. Plus his ignorant and arrogant attitude will definitely be adjusted the hard way.
He’s a good example as to why the death penalty exists in some states. It’s a shame he gets to waste peoples tax dollars for the rest of his miserable existence
@@ANNALISAAnonymous I get it. I hate his actions but wishing harm on another is not a good one. My mother always said dig a hole for me and make sure you dig one for yourself. He's not worth it.
Being uncivilized doesn't help your case
Bruh. You about to be the shortest deliberation in history. And to top it all off, you've insulted a judge who has national exposure and sympathy, so your chances with any appeal is null & void.
😂😂😂😂😂who makes objections during closing arguments? Dude they getting ready to throw the book at you just be quiet.
I refuse to believe that this court reporter has ever had to type objection so many times in her entire life.
I still can’t believe that “tough guy” has to use mommy’s car.
He's probably never owned anything of ANY value in his whole dirt bag life. Mommy should be ashamed and applaud by her spawn's behavior.
Not any more ,ever
@@geraldrohmiller5893 she should be ashamed AND “applaud” her sons behaviour?? I think you mean appalled, sir. To APPLAUD would mean she was Proud and clapped / encouraged it..
No license either, just an ID card! What's with this reckless injury for blacks and attempted homicide for whites? Will blacks be more careful next time?
I can’t believe he put that car in a music video..
I've not seen any shout-outs for the DA's paralegal, Kristy Geezy (hopefully I spelled that right). She was a rockstar. She had everything organized and ready for the state everyday (and had to do some of the same things for Brooks). I saw her almost breakdown during the press conference today 💔. Hope she knows how awesome she is.
Seriously she's a Rockstar. I was impressed with her throughout the trial.
And exhibity 😂
Then has the nerve to appeal. A true monster.
Never thought about that but your right she did a stellar job
The judge and prosecutor have earned my respect times 10.
Was this the first objection he won? Got a little smile from the judge
Why does he even think that the jury would nullify on this issue?
He was grasping at straws at this point. When the trial got to the heart of their case. He knew he was screwed. That's why he would say dumb things like the court is hiding this amd so forth. And after hearing her closing, reality finally set in that it was over for him.
