I questioned why the judge was allowing him to act a fool in court, but now I understand why. She’s allowing him to dig his own grave and not granting him a mistrial. All these antics are for that end and she’s practicing all this patience to not allow that to happen. I commend her.

An important constitutional revision must be done .. you cannot have a moron representing himself. That should be illegal. It takes years on an acredited university and much practice to learn procedure. Imagine if you go to the hospital and suddenly say: "I can operate on myself, give me the toys and the O.R., thank you!"...😂

Most of em think that way, "Sovereign citizens" & am also sure she is being overly cautious so there won't be any merit for him to pull out the "race card" & demand a mistrial. She knows she hasta go thru this. Am just sorry it has come to this, cuz if I was her, I would find him in contempt of court, which he most definitely is. I see a lot of people claiming he isn't reading because his eyes don't move from side to side like when he's reading a document, the bible uses really small font and it's always in 2 columns on every page, his eyes do move, you can see them move but he doesn't need to do it a lot because of the format. That being said, this POS never reads a whole page, you can see he skips a lot of paragraphs or even whole pages, when he's "interrupted" he supposedly takes note of the page he is in but he never comes back to that page and always opens it on a random page.
It made me so mad that they never took his bible away (not even his since it was borrowed from the library) because it was clearly a prop to make him seem like a good christian, apparently it would've been a scandal because religious discrimination or something like that, it's so weird that in america you can't even take away a bible when it's being used as a way to be disrespectful

When he tried to play the silly game of 'guess which witness will take more than 35 minutes' yesterday and both the State and the Court said it would be his ex-girlfriend it was joyous. He genuinely thought they couldn't guess and 2 women showed him how dumb and blatantly obvious he was without actually saying it. He had his nuts handed to him on a plate to take back to prison.

Her hair is dyed the most horrific shade of dark red. She wears false eyelashes and a ton of eye makeup.
She is disheveled and looks as if she just crawled out of bed.
If she were my mother I would be totally ashamed of her.
She has had years to get herself together since Darrel Sr left and apparently not considered it important enough to pursue.
Her own mother is also a loser. At the age of 80+ she has declared herself a minister and pretends to be an expert on mental health issues.
Both of these women were absolutely incapable of parenting in any way shape or form. His mother aided him in his illegal activities by bailing him out of jail and allowing him to use her vehicle knowing full well that he did not have a license. She is an accessory to this mess. This killer tried to infuriate the court on a daily basis with stupid questions, staged angry rants and repeated and inappropriate requests the purpose of which was to delay and hinder t the progress of the trial for as long as he could. I read in a case summary a few months back, that Brooks attempted to call Erika from jail almost 40 times prior to the trial. She declined every call. He talked his mother into sending those pictures of his 15 year old daughter and her new baby, so he could use them in an attempt to destroy Erika's credibility with the jury.
When the judge gave him every opportunity to demonstrate an offer of proof. Her hand writing, the envelope, did she sign any of the letters. His big Perry Mason retort; "Who signs a letter? In jail no one signs a letter" Really,.. no one has ever written; "Dear Dude, I miss you, can't wait til you get out. Kids are okay. Call when you can. ~ Love, Signature Here!"
He allegedly had multiple letters, but could not produce one after lunch. Because she (Erika) never wrote or called/talked to him before the trial. Then when he realized that his little ruse was not going to work, it was deflection (No one signs letters), distraction (Attorney Opper said she can produce evidence any time) and projection (You guys always trying to pull a fast one, no honor or integrity, I don't understand, its not fair) time.
I see for his new trial he opted for having a real attorney and took a plea deal. Judging by the size of his black eye and having to ride a wheel chair into court, he was begging to get back to segregated housing / protective custody, so the boys in general population stop kicking his butt.

The level of disrespect is beyond tolerable. I cannot imagine working hard to become a lawyer and judge, at least a decade of hard work and sacrifice to have to deal with someone whom refuses to listen and insults me daily all while keeping decorum. This judge is amazing and her patience is inspiring. God bless her and the prosecution. I bet they all go home and pour their beverage of choice.

8 years. Not over a decade. Typical 4 year degree then 4 years of Law School. I don't know how you correlate 8 years into over a decade. Do you have dementia and can't tell time?
On top of that, these people are public servants. They get paid for this. If they wanted, they could have gone into private practice or worked as a corporate attorney.

Didn't we hear him say " She will be there. If he tells her to come she will come.?" Oh how wrong he was. His own mom took out an order of protection against him than bailed him out of jail after beating up a woman and shooting at his nephew, her grandson with a stolen gun that as a felon he shouldn't have had in his possession at all. When that judge gave him $1,000 bail this is why mass shootings continue to happen and felons never get the sentences they deserve. His nephew begged the judge to not let him out of jail and for an order of protection. It's sickening how he got away with so much.

@@joankohls575 yes he is yet she still does police interviews defending him saying it's mental health issues which is a bunch of nasty lies. If we listen to Judge Darrow closing remarks she said he was evaluated 4 times by 4 different mental health professionals and they all started the same he is not crazy and the only evidence they found is when he gets arrested or put in jail that he sees any mental health doctor. Let's say the truth more than 85% of the people who are incarcerated seek out mental health to continue the high that certain drugs give. And the sad part is the doctors do give in and give meds to help people sleep or with whatever the claim to have.
