    Man, Ralf is such a good demo’er. I like that he tailors his groove to each patch - it’s not, like, “okay, here’s a rock beat on 15 different kits.”

    One great thing of Roland's drums is the good and natural sound when mimicking various type acoustic drums and percussion, even on their entry level lineups. Cool !

      I have listened to drum tones from many brands in the same price range. Including Carlsbro, Alesis, Yamaha, Donner, Thomann, Millennium series and other cheap Chinese made drums. None of them can capture Roland's voluminous acoustic realistic tones. With this model, Roland is suitable for both entry-level drummers and intermediate level drummers like me. He's doing his job. The materials are very high quality, the shelving system is rock solid and heavy, difficult to move. Although the module is entry level, I have been using the same model for 6 months, which has ready-made tones that can easily meet the expectations of rock metal and pop lovers, and I have never felt the need to switch to different tones. a computer. It made me very happy and I bought it at a very cheap price, second hand, clean and barely used.

    This excellent recording convinced me to scoop up a used kit of this model in my area, and it's really delightful to play. As an experienced drummer who has had maybe 3 acoustic kits and one digital kit in the past that I needed to part with when I moved a few times, I was worried that this kit's sounds are not customizeable. So far, it has not been an issue, and feel of the kit is amazing compared to rubber pad digital drums. Thanks again for the excellent video!

I mean, are the sounds paned across the stereo field? Do you hear the hihat more on the right side and the ride more on the left side and that kind of thing? Or is it just dual mono and everything is the same in both headphones? Thank you very much!

      @@drumtecTV thanks for your reply. Yes, I tried with a decent pair of monitor headphones provided by the staff. Another Roland kit with a more expensive module sounded more like in this video. I just wonder if this is a normal case or I did something wrong.
      The staff said the max volume level is intentionally kept low to protect the ear health of practicing kids.
      When I kick the bass drum with a low-medium force, I almost don't hear it at the max volume level (20).

      @@bmertg Hi, try a pair of headphones with a lower impedance (hope that´s the right word in english). A lower impedance will result in more output signal. And have you checked if the trigger settings are set up correctly for your pads? The TD-1 module has very little settings & those are "hidden" because there is no screen. So you have to follow the instructions in the manual to set up the trigger settings correctly according to the pads of the TD-1DMK. Kind regards!

    Is it possible, if you get this drum set to later add a higher end Roland Sound Module like the TD 25 or something? Also are you limited to just the 15 presets? Or can you customize by using some sounds from each preset?

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  6 років тому

      Hey CTF, yes it's possible to upgrade the module later on. However, the tom pads are only mono which means you can't trigger the rim. The TD-1 module offers no further editing. In that case it would make sense to get the TD-17-L drum-tec Edition for only slightly more money, but with way more power: www.drum-tec.com/roland-td-17kv-l-drum-tec-mesh-edition-with-live-sound-edition

      Hi, probably best to get a drum teacher & evaluate/set up an individual practice plan. I myself have been playing for almost 30 years, including 5 years of studies at a music collage with hours of practicing & rehearsing every day. I do this for a living though, so as a hobby it might be a good start to practice 30 minutes every day & get drums lessons once a week. Kind regards

      The kick beater is noisier compared to the rest of the kit so you can upgrade it to the KD-10, everything else is pretty silent. As far as floor vibrations are concerned, having an additional carpet is required but only if you're playing heavy or using a double bass.
