I saw a news report on KPIX two days ago (San Fran local news) that the current median home value in the state of California is $900K. The median, not the average which I'm sure is higher. 20% of $900K is $180K.

We live in a suburb adjacent to Chicago. The crime and congestion is out of control (even for Chicago.) And spilling into the suburbs. The last time we were in the Chicago loop it was a disaster with people everywhere aggressively pushing and asking us for money. Businesses are suffering because of it. So sad this is what Chicago has been reduced to. I hope policymakers wake up and end this sanctuary city status before the city collapses.

They forget that legislators are just as or even more important in setting the conditions we live under. No president or governor can have a successful agenda without the house and senate to back them up.
Both states he referenced are one party rule. That’s the problem there is no pushback or discussions.

It's gonna require an all-in effort. First order of business must be revisiting Eisenhower's 1954 Comm Control Act, solidify it and shut that mess down, pull it up by it's roots, then and only then can we move forward without the current internal political warfare that's been so detrimental. Without that Act being reenacted and fine tuned it will be a more difficult path forward.
