@@Yoko.Kurama you're right, I forgot about the Redhawk! I know it's a beggar being choosy, but I'd love to see something in a medium frame under 30oz with 8 rounds.
Very good review and thanks for sharing. I have a 686 and Ruger GP100 both in 6" and K6S Target...4" barrel. The thing that stands out the most is the trigger! From factory my K6S Target pulls 8lbs average. My smith and Ruger wont even come close. At around 600 rounds through it (about 110 rounds in 357) not a single light primer strike. The only thing I would change is the barrel length. I hope they make a 6" barrel length. Great quality revolver.
Great review. You may have mentioned it but I did not hear it do you know if the frame on this revolver along with all other parts of the revolver are forged or are they cast Kimber will not say I tried calling them but they said they are not allowed to comment
Great review, I have the 3" hammer version on layaway for $900. Comes with extra hogue grip and kimber speed loader. I can't wait to pick it up. I had the snub hammerless and didn't care for the hammer less part of it. Any recommendations for holsters?
@@Kevin_Ho70 I pocket carry the K6XS. I carry the 3 inch stainless IWB. Due to the weight. I personally believe 38 +P is perfect in snub nose, and that .357 belongs in 3 inch plus. I know my opinions are controversial 😅
I own several Taurus revolvers and semi autos, I'm going to politely disagree with you. The good thing here, I have an M85 in blue finish. That revolver is almost comparable to my 686 and M60. I have a few others that weren't receptive to trigger work. We could never figure that angle, even with replacement springs.
The Presidential campaign is on and I’d like to remind everyone to watch the UA-cam Kamala Harris adds in their entirety and then click on the blue “donate” button when the add concludes. Then hit delete and smile because the Dems just paid the maximum for the add.😊
Does anyone else want to see Kimber try their hand at a larger 8 shot 357?
Uhhhhh....yeah😅
❤😊
I just want an American made 8 shot 357 revolver with a 5 inch barrel that's not $1200.
@@TheOfficialCaseMaderuger redhawk 357?

This was a good, well-informed review. Thanks
If you can't hit what your Eminem at was 6 shots you aint gonna get it with 8
Same here, I put on rubber grips for range use on my big revolvers, then wood when its not going to be shot for a while.
It's a masterpiece. I absolutely love this revolver.

I was absolutely blown away by the K6S I handled in the LGS.
Going from an SP101 to a J frame to the K6S was night and day.
Have you had any issues with extracting issues? I've heard that it struggles sometimes because it uses the same legnth rod as the 2 inch version

Awesomeness....please let us know how quality control issues are??? If any? Ty
Mitch Rosen makes a great kimber k6s holster
If it had existed when i bought the SP101 it might have been a consideration, but that was a long time ago.
What are the compatible speed loaders?
How did you color the front sight blaze orange?
I hit it with Testors Orange Florescent touchup paint. Works great and used on many of my guns
@@AZTrigger
Thank you!!
Sorry to bother again. Did you add a thin veneer of orange, or did you fill the entire white painted "cup" on the sight with the orange paint?
@@stwo69 I simply painted over the existing white dot. Florescent paints work best when painted over a white base (or dot).
Thanks again
Kimber makes the best firearm ever over Taurus and charter arms etc if you value your life get a Kimber
For EDC , do most people prefer 2” or 3” barrels?
I think a 3" gives you a good compromise between minimal weight and holster footprint and ballistic performance.
.357 magnum loads lose a lot of power coming out of a 2" barrel. I carry the K6S stainless 3 inch.
@@jmo82592 Yes, but still more powerful than .38 special and +P rounds! I will try to hold a 3” KS vs the 2” (which I love the compactness)!

I'm sure it's a good gun. But I can't justify the $1000 price tag.

You can do the same thing with a Taurus. Or are used Smith and Wesson for a lot less money.
Just like you can get from point A to point B in a Yugo, but do you want to?

Kimber is overpriced! Every kimber out there is way overpriced. I’ve seen sub compacts at almost 2K. That’s just ridiculous
