Thank you so much for your honest opinion. I actually have ordered one, and I will be getting it in a few days. Your video made me super excited to start printing.
Keep up the awesome videos.
Fantastic to hear.
. Thanks for the kind words.... You won't regret it 😊👍
1 year update?
How is the printer and its prints, are you still using it?
The printer served me well until about a month ago when I decided I needed some space so sold it I sold it to a subscriber from greedy 3D he keeps me informed that it is still printing perfectly.. I have always loved my Mars 2 to mono but only sold it to make room for two larger printers a space was an issue
‘Spend ya wonga’ made me laugh. Good idea 👍🏻 thanks for that pal
Lol... Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thanks for taking the time to produce this. I think you’ve sold me on this… had almost made my mind up. Will be watching more… like your style 😀 Dave
Thank you
Just settled on the Mars 2 Mono as my first foray into 3D printing- thank you for helping me make that decision~
Your welcome.... Enjoy 👍
One of the best videos I've seen for beginners. It explains all the bases, wish I've seen this first :)
Thank you 👍😁
❤️❤️ my first BABY which has NEVER let me down. PERFECT entry-level model ❤️❤️
She was my first resin baby too 👍😉
Just got mine for $170 and going to be using the water washable resin with it. Can’t wait!
Fab price... Enjoy 👍😁
My girlfriend and I have been using FDM printers for about 5 years now. I've gotten fantastic results using the smaller nozzles, and designing my own models, not to mention having the right tools for post processing an FDM print.
So because of this, we've very much been on the fence about MSLA. This specific printer is at a price range that we'd be willing to pull the trigger on, but I couldn't find any in-depth reviews.
Then we came across your review, and well.. You've convinced me. We're pulling the trigger.
Thank you m8!
What a great message.... You will be chuffed I have no doubt.. Let me know how it goes 👍
@@greedy3d480 I've officially come back to say I'm in LOVE!
I haven't quite gotten my settings perfectly dialed in yet, so I've had one or two prints that still came out great, with only imperfections that someone like you or I would notice, but I'm working with the "Validation Matrix" print to dial them in as we speak.
I've set myself up with the (Aluminum-Foil-Box and a Cheap Amazon UV Light/Turn-Table) Set-Up to Cure the prints for now, but I'll be taking your advice on the Wash and Cure Station shortly. haha
But I just wanted to come back and share my experience with you. Again, I thank you sir.
Best Wishes, and Happy Holidays!
Ah glad you have had a good experience and I'm chuffed you have taken the time to let me know... Very thoughtful... The wash n cure station makes life so much easier lol... Happy holidays to you and yours too 👍
Buying a used one. Great review. Thanks.
Hope you enjoy it!
Aye! Me too!
I found this with some resin for 150 euro, I have had a very big fascination with 3d printing for a year now(17 yrs old) and really wanna get it. One day when I'm older I'll get myself this for a starting point, great review!
Thank you... You'll love it 👍
Wow! I should definitely buy it!
Yes you should
You are too charming. This review was packed with up front info as well as some refreshing and relatable humility. I think I'll be picking this one up for my first machine. Ps I like the green as well :>
Thank you for the lovely comment... Enjoy the printer 😁
Thanks so much for the review! Got one for my wife who is very excited to start. We will be following these videos :)
Have fun... I'm sure you ll be glad you bought one 👍😁
Oh yes of course, I forgot but,
a thumbs up 👍🏻 and a new subscriber.
I'm off to watch your other videos
Thank you
great video thanks, you have gained a extra sub, have been looking at going into resin, been FDM printing for 5 years now, and fancy the challenge of resin
Sounds just like me lol... I was honestly so impressed with the detail... Keep me in the loop how you get on 👍
thanks for this review! definitely considering buying one
Thank you for your comment... You won't regret it 👍
Really well made video. I’ve been on the fence but I’m looking forward to getting my first 3D printer for minis
Thank you and enjoy your printer 👍

Awesome video. I didnt know there were water washable resins! That decides it for me then to buy a resin printer
thank you I was starting to have my doubts about buying it since comparing it to the pro models but this help put my mind at ease thank you
Hope you enjoy it 👍
I was unsure to which resin printer should i buy to use it a long whith my ender3 and afeter wathching your video, i'm preatty sure now that the elegoo mars 2 mono it's the besst choice. Hope to share with you in a few week to see how that go. Thanks for the info!!!!

Glad I watched this video! Just got one myself The mini factory x elegoo collab, and honestly yes the green looks more badass!
Green is Awsome lpl
Thanks for the honest review. I've been wanting to print my sculpts, and this was very helpful. Subbed!
Glad you liked it and thank you for the sub 👍
I like my Elegoo Mars 2. Just got it a couple of days ago and started printing right away. I may just have to retire my Creality Ender 3 :)
It's fab isn't it 👍
Lovely review, ive been on the fence but i think i'll go for it!
Thank you for the kind words... You won't be dissapointed 👍
Great stuff. Your voice is very soothing and ASMR like
Thank you... Not what you expect to hear about a brummie accent 😁👍
Thanks bud!loved the review 👍
Thank you 👍
Thanks for the review... i was like thinking about elegoo mars 2 or the mars 2 pro and thinking if the extra money was worth it but i dont think it is.
I agree... Couldn't see the real benefit... And I'm not disappointed with the nice green mono 😁
Loved the helmets on the background!! Is that done use an FTL? If so which one. Can you do that in the elegoo by slicing it? Thank you so much
The halo helmet is a 3D print... The others arnt I'm afraid 👍😁
@@greedy3d480 Where did you get the file from? Can you gime some hints on sites ? Thank you
Very good video! I’m heavily considering buying a mars 2 but have never started 3D printing before. Is a resin printer like the mars messy enough that I should use it in my garage? Or is it easy enough to contain the mess to keep it on my desk?
It depends on you really. They can be messy unless your really careful. If your using it in a desk make sure to use a plastic sheet... If you can use a garage then I'd do that tbh
Thanks for the review, I found it great . I’m thinking of gating a Mars 2 but can’t afford a mercury plus but I’m thinking of getting a mercury what would you recommend to wash the resin off in
I used this prior Sistema KLIP IT Round Food... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002ARYAQQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
And used this to cure
3D Printer UV Resin Curing Light... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B089N8LNHC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Hope that helps 👍
@@greedy3d480 thank you very much it helps alot
I can't find how to level my build plate. All the videos are about the mars 2 pro
Same method my friend, same principle
Nice video! This was my first resin printer, bought it by mistake..lol But it was a mistake well made!
Lol... Great mistake to make 🤣👍thanks for watching
Would you consider buying a Mars 2 and a wash station for £80 second hand in 2024 still a good buy?
Mars 2 great printer ..small build plate but I've had great results on mine...plus wash station......bargains
@@greedy3d480 Awesome. Thank you. I'm collecting today.
Thank You
How is it on 32 mm figures ?
Quality and amount per run ?
Personally I've not done that as not into small models... I'd wage no prob but I'm sure there's a you tube video for it lol 👍
Do you know if i can make threads with this printer?
Anda what resin do you recommend?
Thx for the video, i think i will buy It if i can make threas
I'm not sure tbh the elegoo Fb page will undoubtedly know 👍
I'm itching to buy both machines, but I'm curious about the durability and longevity of the cured resin prints. I'm building dollhouse miniatures, and I want to know that they will last. Any insight?
My first dabble in resin printing was September when I made my first model since I've made lots of models both hollow and solid in resin or in the elegoo water washable and I've got to be honest from the heart I've had no problems post printing with any of them that's the only advice I can give you based on my experience I have heard of the stories of people's models splitting but again I can only give you my experience and I have not come across any of this
We now have this machine..found a fault..went to print a tiger tank..anyway it finished the print and as I left it in the other room and went to check it the machine ran out of resin so top part of the tank was missing..why didnt it pause to ask for a top of resin or have we got to keep an eye on it? I know you can manually pause to top tank up but a little dissapointed it didnt warn us to to top up..
Ah not many machines will warn you of this I'm afraid
@@greedy3d480 what is the best way to avoid this
Vat holds about 250ml so when you slice a model on chitubox see how much redin it will take to print, if its more you will need to top it up on the print... Are you hollowing out the model to use less resin... I've a video showing this 👍
I've seen reviews on the water washable resin that people are seeing there models pull apart and crack post processing. Have you experienced the same
I've been using water washable since I began using redin... No issues so far to be honest 👍
@@greedy3d480 which brand do you use ? And how much smell does the this type of printing kick out ( sort of what's putting me off SLA printing. I don't want to stink the house out
I use the elegoo water washable like all resins it has an odor to it I wouldn't say it's particularly strong but it's definitely noticeable I do all my printing in my man cave in the garden but when I bring things into the house my wife notices the smell of them not sure if that helps
Hi. I just bought elegoo mars 2. After watching your movie. I only have one problem ... Which program to create 3D figures to use. Regards Anders.
Chitubox which is included to slice the models..this what you mean?
I'll check it when I'm home. Thank you, I'll be in touch. Anders
Hi. My program has printable figures. But my needs require an advanced program for creating 3D figures.
@@Anders.S I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand are you trying to print a model that you have on file.. normally you download a STL file load that into chitubox and then slice it into a file your printer understands
@@greedy3d480 Yes you are right. I have mastered it :) I want to print, for example, machines used in the automotive industry, car lifts. e.t.c
Could I print 1:24 1:25 scale model cars?
Ooo not sure
.. Apologies
What about the Saturn 4k, will that be better, over the Mars 2K?
Yeah better printer... More expensive though 👍
@@greedy3d480 Thank you, might be worth just going for it and getting that one.
Hi..we are going to purchase this for our as a xmas present..please can you tell me what software we need to make or get the designs and any other programs we need to actually make this work? Thanks Ashley
It comes with the software you need on the USB drive called Chitubox.... The actual files to print some are free at sites like thingiverse or cults3d others need buying in my videos I will tell you where I bought the models from.. Hope this helps... Enjoy
@@greedy3d480 Thankyou..so Chitubox is for slicing and locating where you print on the board..so what is the name of the recommend software you need to draw and make your own designs?
Sorry I think you have answered that..I will have a look at those other sites..
@@ashleydenham4634 I use other things like tinkercad to make basic designs, slic3r to cut models that maybe don't fit... It depends Wgat your going to be making.... Guaranteed youtube is full of answers and tutorials 👍
@@greedy3d480 thankyou for all this information..sorry last question..is it vital we have the washing station or can we get away with that..just thinking the costs are going up..Cheers
Now 99.99 € with store coupon.
Wow
halot one or this?
Sorry don't understand the question
@@greedy3d480 sorry i was referring to the red box of creality halot one.
I've not used the creality resin obly used 2 creality FDM printers and they have always been great designed and worked really well reviews for the creality resin printer seems to be ok but I've not used one so I feel you may need a little bit more UA-cam research lol
@@greedy3d480 still been checking reviews online, price range is relatively close though my place has supplies of halot one though im aiming for an elegoo mars 2 mono bec of details, both have the same reso but it seems that no one hast tried doing the same reso for comparison so i really cant make a decision, yt seems to be checking the new saturn and there isnt that much for the older versions of printers. thanks for the video, it really gave me an idea of the device.
i stopped watching at 2:30

@@greedy3d480 you can't compare the volume size of a fdm printer and a resin one, it's just wrong... like compare the storage volume of a Ford Transit and a Audi A4.
Sorry I disagree it's a factor that some people new to resin may not be aware of
