      Thanks Peter, yes I sure do! Oh goodness whatever I can get my hands on lol. Normally for alcohol inks I like to use my inexpensive sets: amzn.to/2TYPuNH :)

    This is cool. I'm gonna try it ! Interesting how you fixed the Sharpie areas- that's good info. Also, I like that little touch of purple in the sky. The first thing I thought of when you mentioned your son's broken ankle was--long summer ! But in my experience as a mom & grandma, kids broken bones heal fairly quickly. I hope that's the case for him.....and you.

    When you say wet on wet, what are you referring to? Is the paper wet with water? Alcohol? TIA

    • @KellieChasse
      @KellieChasse  3 роки тому

      Alcohol inks only. You have to work fast as they dry really really fast. 😊

  • @birdiepareagle
    @birdiepareagle 4 роки тому +1

    You mention that its wet in wet painting - is it because you put alcohol down first? Or just a lot of AI? Thanks

    • @KellieChasse
      @KellieChasse  4 роки тому

      Hi Carol, great question! Just my own terms as a watercolor artist.....painting while the inks are still wet either with alcohol ink or using alcohol or blending solution. If you check out some other of my tutorials with alcohol inks you'll see the difference between using them wet or using them dry. (Big difference on how the ink reacts with one another).😀

      @@KellieChasse Thank you for your quick response. I've been working with AI for about a year doing abstracts and I'm going to take a few of your courses from udemy to expand my expertise. I love how you did that so quickly!!!! Thank you again and I know this was a while ago but I hope your son healed quickly!!!! Stay healthy and safe!!!!

      @@birdiepareagle Thank you!!! Oh my goodness....it's playing with us. One day it's 62 the next we have frost warnings. You know how it is.....wait an hour and the weather will change here in the Northeast. I can understand leaving winter. YAY, welcome to my channel, hope you find lots of tid bits!

    I’m trying, but it’s not working. Mine automatically stops and gets darker lines....and just stops. The ink comes out in large dots and not as fluid, either. I can’t even work on it as long as you have. Used ranger inks, aqua and oregano. My bottom is muddy. Ugh

    • @KellieChasse
      @KellieChasse  4 роки тому

      Oh my gosh, so sorry Susan, a year later reply!! How did you make out? Those darker lines come when you use too much ink or they layer over one another. Helps to drop your inks into a palette if they are coming out to fast. Always interesting to see how the colors will react to one another. The dyes have so many colors in the, so it's harder to figure out how they'll mix. 🤓
