I was in Akure in October for few days holidays,boy, it looks so backwards,like a small township,potholes everywhere,no electricity,couldn’t even leave my hotel room heritage nonsense continental or so for more than 2 hours,couldn’t believe it was a city I once lived and worked during mimiko’s governorship tenure.. Too bad,looks better 10 years ago than now..
My beautiful Akure now looks unkempt, dirty and ugly despite the nice buildings that have sprung up. The environment looks dirtier than I used to know. Breaks my heart 😢.
