Fun blog! My friend rescued an orphaned opossum and had her for about six years. She (the opossum) got sick with a tumor and died but she was an awesome pet. Can't wait for all the mean kitty vlogs!!
Kristen is so tough, but soft at the same time...but also a bit sneaky, but in the cutest way.. I love how comfortable you both are in front of the camera....and Chell will be that way to..x
I love your Thanksgiving with others whose families are not in Alaska. When I was a young bride in my 20's I always saw to it we invited people who were far from home. Our young adults group at church (NYC) always had folks from not just all over America, but the world. First place was a one room studio apt... meal was buffet style, and many sat on the floor. But, all were happy to be with other people. When our family went from our kids to our kid's kids.... there were complaints for a while ... about strangers being there. But that passed. Now, I'm not in charge... and that is fine with me. It's lots of work, but even more FUN.
Meeeesje: It came from the way my thinking developed while I grew up in my faith (Presbyterian) through Sunday School, Westminster Fellowship (Teen group), and YPA Young Adults Group. As I grew up in NYC, I was an only child ... who moved 12 times by age 10. I knew how that felt... being the new kid. If I saw a person standing alone, I could not ignore it... not loneliness. I never got used to that feeling. So, when I was voted Vice Pres. of our youth group, I made it my business to greet and sit with newcomers. Within a couple of weeks, they 'belonged' ... the blossoming of some was glorious to watch. And I learned from it. One person from New Zealand was deformed from birth. Both his body and features caused stares on first meeting. But, I treated him as I always did newcomers. A couple of months later another new person asked about "the fellow with the deformed face," I didn't know who he meant. I learned that once you know someone, any flaws somehow disappear. Nobody saw him as anything but perfect when they got to know him. Is there any better feeling than to know there is a place in the world where you really are welcome and truly belong? About "feeling blessed"... Oh, I feel that every day. This lonely 'only-child' had 3 children, 7 grandkids, and now 2.5 great grandkids. One daughter and 18 yr old Granddaughter live with me. I have to thank God daily for the blessings that have been heaped upon me. Soon, I'll be 84... and I'm still amazed and surprised by the incredible life I've lived.
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm glad God moved you to help the lonely. I think it's the worst feeling a human being can feel; "Alone". God Bless you and your family.
The Friendsgiving dinner looked awesome!! The new furniture is like a breath of fresh air!! I would love to see more videos of Mean Kitty and the other pets!! I also hope and pray baby Chell feels better soon. Bless her heart.
Seeing a lot of the Mean Kitties Sparta and Loki really warms me up, especially when the kids are petting them. Wish there can be more of the kitties, but that is what TheMeanKitty is for, right?
You living room looks wonderful. I'm happy to see that you hosted a "Friendsgiving". I live in a resort community northern California with no family near by. My friends and I put on a Friendsgiving every year and it has grown to more people every year. We believe that everyone should be welcomed and no one left out. Thank you for doing that. Oh, the weight of people from you camera would be 44,361,000 lbs. (150 lbs. x 295,740 people=44,361,00 lbs.) lol just saying. For an accent you should try a green. I just remolded our house and behind the TV is white washed pine wood with grays and greens on all the other walls, its a great color match. Have a wonderful holiday with that beautiful little Chell.
If you think time is going by fast now, then just you wait until Chell starts crawling. It's so amazing to watch them go through the milestones from crawling to standing to walking.
Thanks for making me laugh just about every day, you guys! Your room looks really good now! I liked it before, but this is better! Haha, and now I like your curtains! Did you always have the painting over the couch, or is it new? Looks good. Maybe paint the entertainment center? Maybe move the rug back where it was? Loved the cat's pretty long acceptance of the one-year-old!
me and emily are sick too. its going around in fl. my whole family has been passing it around. also living room looks great!! amd yay chell good job on holding yourself up!!!
Katie S spring in alaska is brutal. when i lived in fairbanks it was dry as hell, allergies were at their highest levels, and you had to deal with the ground being mushy from all the snow melting. pure hell in spring other than the fact it gets warmer and you remember what the color of grass is
The living room is so pretty .Corey I was so happy that you met Aimee an Tyson waters they are so awesome an has had a real hard time right now . They were so excited to met you I Utah . Have a good day
poor baby, do you have something called "baby vicks" its eucalyptus and menthol rub, or you can get karvol for babies (in uk) just put some on a hanky or dribble cloth and tie it to the cot,, works wonders, she will be able to breath in no time, glad you had a great Friendsgiving xx
Mean kitty vlogmus sounds great! Since you will be leaving for California, I suggest that you start filming the vlogmus videos now and that way you will have enough to cover your time in California. The living room is awesome...love the bench seat under the window as well. We have friend Thanksgivings as well. It is a bunch of my peers whose family lives across the country, or are widowed, single, etc. it is an awesome time. I'm glad you are doing this for yourselves and your friends. It feels really awesome, doesn't it? Hugs and cuddles for poor Chell. I hope she feels better real soon.
Just a tip for baby Chell, to help with her breathing... Since babies don't know for a loooong time how to blow their noses, it's a good thing to use some eucalyptus drops, like a essence on a bowl of water under her crib. That'll help her eventually to breathe better and all the things that are blocking her nose will get out at her feces. Hope that helps ;)
So impressed with how amazing you guys are as new parents! I just love watching your videos, I have a lot of health problems and watching you guys makes being stuck at home not so terrible! I get to live vicariously through you! Thanks so much Cory and Kristen! Don't know what I would do without you!☺️
Glad you guys had a merry gathering for Thanksgiving! Collecting a bunch of folks without a crowd of relatives together has always been my favorite way to celebrate a holiday!
You guys put a smile on my face every time y'all upload a video! Love the way the furniture looks! Love that new color also and it does open that room up ALOT!! Praying that Sweet Chell feels better soon!
you two did amazing for first time hosting..making the food with a not 100% 5 month old..I think that is so sweet and awesome you opened your home to others who don't have a lot of families close by
Cory and Kristen, I never comment, but I've been a loyal fan for several years now. My wife and I always have to watch "the new dudelikehella" every day. Your life is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
if she is congested do a steam in lol if that makes sense,go to ur bathroom turn on the hot water shut the door and let it steam up the bathroom she can breath that and it will break it up and make it easier for her to cough things up and breath a little better
I love the zaniness at the end. Also, the living room looks amazing! I love that you almost have companion cube ottomans... I can practically see them already. Those have to exist, don't they? And think how well they would work with your current decor!
It's so crazy, I have a niece (Nevaeh) that was born about a month before Chell (May 25th) and it's awesome to see Nevaeh go through something and then see Chell go through it. Like Nevaeh was sick this week and so was Chell. They're so much alike!
Cory, you do realise that we carry you two plus Chell and penny and Loki and Sparta, because if we hold our computers/ phones, we are also holding you, and also all of the subscriber count
you are super funny to watch and you became one of my favorite to watch. I really do, I really feel like i am in your living room right now listening to you! We are going to Alaska in August on a cruise, it'll be our first one and our first time in Alaska, too. I've always wanted to go, it seams like an awesome place. Also, I love the cold and the snow. I am going with my mom and dad and my neighbor that was my babysitter a lot when I was little and practically my adoptive grandma. Plus, our friends from Florida. (we are from Minnesota) I am so excited!!!
Everyone has a good thanksgiving, well my husband and I were pregnant our baby boy was 11 weeks 6 days and passed on this 24 th day at 3:25 am. But what I'm thankful for is that I know in my faith my child is with God, that even though this happened my husband still had the courage to try and cook the turkey we had which motivated me to help him and we still had our turkey day lunch dinner and some leftover for lunch the next day. The next step is for him to take emergency leave since he's military and thankful that they are gonna let us take this leave to drive home from Va to Az so we can burry our baby boy. We're planning on leaving tues after my check up and drive which might take 3 or 4 days there 3 days home to take care of stuff and 3 days to drive back military will give him 10 days emergency leave I think. We were trying to fly but it was twice the amount to spend rather then driving. So if anyone sees this who has the same faith I do just pray that we can get there safely and
I'm so sorry for your loss... We will be praying for you during this difficult time... We lost a baby at 12 weeks a few years back. It was the hardest time of my life... Check out this facebook group facebook.com/groups/MiscarriageAndPregnancyLoss/ It helped me so much to be able to talk about what we were going through.
thank you both. but i don't have a Facebook or any social media. but just have youtube. but we are coping okay, just going through a little bit of bad cramps my doc gave me during my check up.
I think you guys are great ! Thanksgiving is a coming together with family and friends , so how wonderful to have new friends !! I love the living room !
We're currently living in Germany and we celebrated thanksgiving even though it's not a holiday here. If only it were as easy to make friends here but there's that language barrier. Glad to see y'all had a pleasant time though.😊
aweee what a lovely day you have had , thank you for all that you do , love your new sofas i see you took my advice on gray sofas ,all you need now is a few bright cheery christmas pillows and a throw
I love the idea of friendsgiving, maybe we will do that next year. I'd give yours a solid 8, especially since you all didn't know each other well and no fights lol. Also, loving the ottomans in your living room.
Awesome vlog! Loved watching yr Friendsgiving, so neat! Sorry Chell feels bad but Dude, as soon as I saw her eating that banana the other day I thought: look out, guys, big girl poops coming! The cats were so sweet with those older kids, I can't wait to see new Mean Kitty vids. Yay!!!!!!
For some reason I always thought the upstairs area was the living room and the downstairs was the family room. Maybe it's because the fireplace is upstairs.
The living room looks really nice! I still think you should consider painting one wall with that light lavender'ish color you showed us, but it definitely looks much more airy and bright in there. :) Your Friendsgiving looked like a lot of fun and the food looked awesome!
Fun blog! My friend rescued an orphaned opossum and had her for about six years. She (the opossum) got sick with a tumor and died but she was an awesome pet. Can't wait for all the mean kitty vlogs!!

Else Logan. That sounds like so much fun! I love that idea. You must have felt very blessed at Thanksgiving. That's the whole point I guess. :) ♡

Love your new living room! It's gorgeous!
Living room feels nice, but I loved the Couch you had before. Looked so comfortable.
I love your new couches! They look amazing!
For some reason I always thought the upstairs area was the living room and the downstairs was the family room. Maybe it's because the fireplace is upstairs.
How about us viewers pitched in a buck or two for Cory's VR? :D
The living room looks really nice! I still think you should consider painting one wall with that light lavender'ish color you showed us, but it definitely looks much more airy and bright in there. :) Your Friendsgiving looked like a lot of fun and the food looked awesome!
wait chell is 5 months already. where has that time gone. :o
