Yes, I love that you are making her baby food yourselves! The banana was a big hit! You might try sweet potato (no sweetener) or butternut squash. Kristen can add breastmilk, rather than water, to thin out to the right consistency. Be careful to wait a few days in between each new food to let her tummy adjust. You can puree the food and spoon it into ice cube trays to freeze, then store them for up to two months! Great video, love the furniture too!

I think I smiled the whole video. Chell is an angel. I've noticed bananas taste different depending on ripeness. Maybe, she was just confused by eating for the first time? Glad you like your new furniture.

The looks and smiles Chell gave Cory as she ate melted my heart. I think she liked the banana but as she was not used to solid food did not eat it all.

I love the new furniture! Great color and I like the leather/cloth combination. Hurray! It is big enough for family naps! If you have trouble with kitties putting claw marks into the leather arms, cover them with bubble wrap for a few weeks...it won't be pretty, but it helped my friend break her cats from scratching/climbing where they weren't supposed to be. Loved how happy Penny was after her incarceration with cat food!
The fact that she opened her mouth for every bite like that is amazing! It takes some babies a bit of practice before they learn to open their mouth for each bite! It took my daughter a little while to learn. So awesome!
Always remember to make 'happy' faces when giving little ones food. They do watch our response to things. (Don't you just love all the unsolicited advice people give you?). I think she liked it but it was obviously quite a surprise to her! She is unbelievably cute, clever and alert. When she had her mouth on the edge of the bowl, she was recreating what she did with the glass yesterday. How smart is that for a child her age! She is having, and will have, such an incredible life with the parents she has and the almost tangible love in your house.

Watching her eat bought back some memories. Gosh it's fun to watch. She is soooo ready for solid food. Yeah, she likes banana. Takes a little time for the tongue to really register new flavors. Just remember to never use white sugar, ever, to sweeten things. It is extremely addictive. Use honey. So, is she still chugging on the sippy cup ?
It was always recommended to me not to give them sweet things first, because it will make I introducing veggies more difficult. Children naturally gravitate towards sweet rather than savory. Anyway, just my two cents. Keep up the great work, guys!
Love the new couches, and Chell is growing up so fast! I would suggest sitting her up while eating so she can digest easier and help prevent choking. A high chair would be great for her. Personally, I waited till 6 months to feed my son solids after I read about virgin gut and baby led weaning.

Hi you guys! My husband and I have recently started watching your videos. Our daughter is 18 months old and has had eczema since she was about 3 months old. We've seen so many doctors, allergists and dermatologists to try to find the culprit. She does have an egg allergy and a slight peanut allergy. The biggest thing that we did to figure stuff out was to have food sensitivity testing done. It's a bit different than allergy testing. It's a blood test that determines what she might be ingesting through breast milk or otherwise that could be irritating her gut and the irritation is then showing through her skin. I really, really encourage the test. It's made a huge difference in our daughter's eczema and I wanted to pass it along to you! I hope you see this!

Just as an FYI not immediately reacting doesn't mean she's not allergic. My nickel allergy is a delayed systemic reaction and causes swelling and hives 2-3 days later. Also, the new furniture looks awesome! It totally opens up the room!

I've always heard that having pets while mom is pregnant means baby is much less likely to have allergies because it exposes them to much more before they're born and they get used to it instead of devolving allergies. Maybe that's why it's lookin so good for Chell :3

Chell liked something there a lot. My wild guess: She liked the taste but the texture was too new to swallow for long. Are teeth due in soon? She liked chewing on both the bowl and glass yesterday. *googles* "The bottom middle teeth typically come in first," 4-7 months. It might be teething time.
I love Chell!💜 I think Chell likes bananas! It's new to her. Give your baby bananas for 2-3 times more so she gets used to them. My baby girl is one week older than Chell & she started eating solids at 4 months. Her favorite is carrots! It's so fun to watch babies eat their first food.
Chell is moving more, especially you have said she is holding her head up and sitting up as much as she can. I notice the muscles in her face and neck are developing and the look of her face IS changing. Good on you to notice! These "growth spurts" seem to happen so quickly. Enjoy this first year, it is a phenomenal time in her life!

Wasn't she a newborn infant just yesterday? ;) My "newborn infant" is now 23...time keeps on ticking a bit too quickly for my. My other one just turned 13 yesterday. Chell liked something there a lot. My wild guess: She liked the taste but the texture was too new to swallow for long. Are teeth due in soon? She liked chewing on both the bowl and glass yesterday. *googles* "The bottom middle teeth typically come in first," 4-7 months. It might be teething time.

I love Chell!💜 I think Chell likes bananas! It's new to her. Give your baby bananas for 2-3 times more so she gets used to them.
My baby girl is one week older than Chell & she started eating solids at 4 months. Her favorite is carrots! It's so fun to watch babies eat their first food.
Because of time zones, i get to see two of your videos daily, one in the morning and one in the evening which is nice.
Chell is moving more, especially you have said she is holding her head up and sitting up as much as she can. I notice the muscles in her face and neck are developing and the look of her face IS changing. Good on you to notice! These "growth spurts" seem to happen so quickly. Enjoy this first year, it is a phenomenal time in her life!

My "newborn infant" is now 23...time keeps on ticking a bit too quickly for my. My other one just turned 13 yesterday. You better believe I am savoring every moment with him! You will not ever regret recording Chell's life!
