Leto was probably quite surprised that the elite Fremen warriors trained by his son came to burn his house down because he was playing the stock market.
You should avoid spamming Fedaykin and using them in groups (none of the elite units in this game are good to spam!). Their ability makes them stronger the more units they're in combat with, so if you send a bunch in together it just nerfs all of them. They each use so much of your command point cap that having an all-Fedaykin army is actually significantly weaker in total power and HP while costing more in upkeep than a balanced army made from your non-elite units that cost only manpower to produce. The trick with Fedaykin is that they can tank entire village militias on their own, especially with the advisor Otheym's Sand Killers buff, and defeat them with maybe a little bit of help from Skirmishers or Infiltrators. Fremen can easily get outmaneuvered by opposing armies using airfields if you keep all their troops together in one army, what they need to do when they get attacked is counterattack in multiple places, instead of trying to catch the opponent's army that can just fly to the other side of the map. You can use stealth and wormriding to get deep into enemy territory and take/liberate multiple poorly defended villages at once, while also triggering sietch attacks and rebellions, to create a nightmare scenario for anyone who attacks you where they'll lose half their territory in exchange for taking one of your villages. And you can afford to lose villages as Fremen more than anyone else because your Authority generation is insane and it's hard to stay off the cap late in the game, especially if you control a deep desert, and you aren't able to build more than 4 buildings per village so losing one hurts less. I think the core strength of Fremen in this game is that they can almost always come out ahead on village trades, but what I see is that players don't make those trades because they typically always try to rush in to defend their villages when they get attacked no matter how far out of position their army is, and then complain about the Fremen not having airfields. I think they're seen as weak because people try to play them just like the other factions while ignoring the many unique things about how they play. Also if you had used the almost 20k solari you had banked up to buy CHOAM shares as that money came in, it would have driven the price up and Atreides wouldn't have been threatening victory - it's important to buy some shares to keep the market tight even if you don't intend to win that way. Even if you just want to maximize your money, you can almost always sell shares later for more than what you bought them for, so there's never really a reason to keep that much cash banked without turning it into shares.
@@peterstedman6140 unfortunately I don't think there are any solid guides for the current version of the game yet, especially for Fremen because of the negative opinion in the community about them. The current guides for this game are like most quick and dirty guides for newly released games, they just repeat the stuff that comes up in the tooltips for your advisors, units, etc. without really adding anything useful as far as putting all that together into strategies to win. The UA-camrs who play this game are all pretty good for the most part honestly, but even the best players are still learning at this point and I always notice some little or occasionally not-so-little thing they could have done better every time I see a Spice Wars video, I think the level of play for this game still needs to keep rising for a few months at least before we can really start to analyze it properly and produce some good guides. Until then, the best way to get better at the game is just to play it IMO.
The Silo availability, probably has to do with future percieved mobility and selling versus saving mentality. Additionally, every other Faction has experience with building that probably exceeds that of the Smugglers. *Other Factions:* _You Protect your valuables._ *Fremen:* _Save whatever you can, because Dune._ *Smugglers:* *_Eh._*_ We can always... "acquire" more._ _Why waste Solari on storing something that we intend to sell to the highest bidder?_
2:20 Well would you look at that, its all the 4 classic houses for this last video. By classic I mean it's the 4 houses thay we're available at the start none of the newer ones.
i had the same question about the water extractor thingy :D last night i played smugglers and had the governorship of arrakis and i was this close to win until house ecaz pulled a hegemony win :D

Do you recommend any video/text strategy guides? Nice tips.

7:40 if you're the Fremen, never spend influence on Landsraad standing. They don't get Landsraad standing ever. Besides that, like the video :)
