Great video. Nice and detailed. I have heard that the occupancy sensor can be coded out on vcds but nobody has actually documented the process. Is this even possible on vcds?
My 2017, Golf R seat, assembly weight turned out to be 54 pounds. In my case, I am replacing it with a Racequip fiberglass with Sparco sliders and brackets, which totaled 37 pounds for a difference of 17 lbs. Admittedly, not nearly as much as I expected, but weight savings nonetheless. Yours is probably pretty similar. You have a more functional seat, so there may be a pound or so difference but that’s about it I would guess.
Hi, I didn't understand from the video if you removed the presence sensor on the seat and where from? Could you explain to me? Thanks and congratulations for the video and result!
Sorry for getting back to you so late. You'll need to remove an occupancy sensor if you decide to put both driver and passenger seat into the car. If you're doing just the driver seat you will not need a occupancy sensory
Hey, what are the resisters called please ? I'm getting Sparco R100 seats fitted but haven't been able to source the resisters I'll need to avoid warning lights. Also what are the jumper cables as I can't seem to find them either. Im in the UK / Scotland, Thanks
Good timing, I’m probably doing mine this weekend, already got the same parts off Amazon. Did you get the weight difference? I’ll try and remember to weigh mine and post it here. The R and S3 should be pretty much the same. I’ve got the sparco base, brackets and sliders with a Racequip fiberglass seat.
Hey bro i installed recaro cs in my golf mk6 and i adapted the airbags(not ressistors) with good results, but im getting airbag light for 2 erros, seat occupied passenger sensor and drivers position sensor. Do i need 100% ocr sensor mat from a stock seat or could i jump it?🙏
Seatbelt light? If you don't have it buckled it whole chime.. Just like regular operation. But there is jot seatbelt light warning as you are using the original belt and buckle
@@wiscopyro if you watch the video the seatbelt occupancy sensor is still plugged in. You will not get any light, I drive the car like this with no lights or warnings which is the reason I made the video to show it
Where did you source the jumper cable you show at 17:20?

You can code it out with vcds but the light will be on, as it will have codes for the airbags being turned off.
The Recaro seat looks great !!
Thank you. It's super comfortable too!
very nice and detailed thanks

They are just generic resisters you can find at any local electronics store. As for the jumper cables I found them on amazon
Just search 3 pin female to female jumper wire or cable
@@ChampagneS3 excellent thanks
sooo good :)

Man I should have weighed mine! I totally forgot! Let me know how they work out. Looking forward to your progress this season 👌👌

You need to have the seat position sensor moved to the new seat which is attached to th belt buckle. Did you install 2 seats or just 1?
@@ChampagneS3 i installed two seats driver and front passenger
But it doesn't get rid of the seat belt light, so you get to hear the warning thing continuously while driving.

Unless the seat belt is Bluetooth connected to the computer, how would the computer know if you unplug all of those wires?
