Anyone wish to get the ticket from the Disney Tokyo, they put a restriction if your account is not from Japan, your card will not work 100%. Called the Tokyo resort hotline, they will need to do some security function off for limited time, your cards will magically work! Anyone who face the Error 2885, I hope this helps! Cos I did this, and it works!
I would like to sincerely thank everyone who commented on this because after reading the reviews about how using Mastercard sometimes works better than other credit cards when booking via TDR’s website, I finally managed to buy my tickets after struggling for over 2 weeks! I’ve been using my Visa card and was beginning to lose hope that I will manage to buy the tickets before arriving in Japan, but then I read the comments here about Mastercard so I borrowed my cousin’s and it actually worked! Thank you so so much! And of course, thank you TDR Explorer for the super helpful information. I can’t wait for my trip to TDR next Tuesday! 😊🎉
In terms of the Disney tickets at the convenience store, I actually had a lot of luck with 7/11. From what I discovered, they indeed don’t sell the tickets when they first become available until a while after the initial drop online, which for popular days means most will be sold out. THAT BEING SAID, when a ticket that’s been sold is cancelled by a person, they ACTUALLY show up INSTANTLY on the machine at 7/11, whereas there’s a 30-40 min delay for the website in updating, meaning you can find small windows if you’re lucky and pick up cancelled tickets. I managed to go from missing the initial drop having no Japanese credit card, to having 4 total days at the parks just by checking the 7/11 on the reg. With that said, I don’t know how viable that would be for people who are only in the country for a week (I was checking a few times a day for the three months leading up to my vacation), but wouldn’t hurt I guess if you were desperate and lucky
Yeah, the convenience stores aren't the easiest option for people visiting. But at least the option is there. I'm glad you were able to get some tickets!
Thank you this video is great! My mom was really struggling to get tickets and was really confused! But I showed her this video and she is watching it right now!!!! I love your Puroland Videos!
I have lived in Japan 15 years and this is the first time I have had issues with buying tickets on my US credit cards. We are going the week before Christmas and I couldn’t book tickets because of the new VISA verified system. We had to use my wife’s Japanese visa and put in a user name a password. My friend said he called his credit card company and asked to disable the visa verified thing before ordering and that worked for him. I had zero issues booking the hotel. Also at first the covid tickets were sold out……a week later they were available for our dates. We were able to exchange our regular tickets and get the 20% off ones.
Thank you for the info! Someone out there will find it useful. It's tough for me to try every type of card and combinations so comments like this are super helpful.
Can you do a video of Tokyo Disney sea with a disability and how the certificate works with disability certificate are you able to use your handicap plaque if you live in the United States
I did too and I'm going to Japan for the first time in July; my question: how do I get in once I have the Klook purchase email? Do I just scan the Klook email at the front gate?
Thank you for such an interesting and informative video. I could buy my family tickets without a problem in Klook, and it worked so well. I love Tokyo Disneyland
Great video, as always! Would love to see a demo of the ticket being scanned into the app so that you can make Standby Pass or Premiere Access reservations! Also: Visa went through exactly once for me, but Mastercard went through a lot more often!
Thank you and your team for all the information. Things seem very different since when I was last there for the 35th. Hope to go after Fantasy Springs is finished and thank you again for keeping the world up to date on the parks.
I don't understand why buying tickets has to be so hard!! I'm looking forward to coming in March/April next year so will be hoping to buy tickets early next year. I'll be keeping an eye on TDR for any changes.
Got my Disneyland tickets a few days ago on the main website. Took a few tries with the credit card verification but it finally went through after the 5th time. Mastercard work, not Visa for me. Thank you for all your videos. I'm so prepared thank to your useful info and tips.
thank you for these tips! 😃 will definitely tune in to you regarding the changes that might occur in the future regarding Tokyo Disneyland tickets. love the shirts by the way 😄
How do you buy an evening passport as these are not sold on Klook and main Disney site doesn’t accept foreign credit cards (or at least my ones)? App didn’t work either.
Just got tickets for Dec 24 - Dec 28 directly from the TDR website. Only Master Card worked with a txt message & code validation. Amex & Visa were authorized by the card issuer but declined by TDR. Nice article in this months WDW mag.
Thank you so much for your information. I will be visiting my son who is stationed in Japan and thought we could buy our Disney passes through the military base like we could in the States. You may want to also include that they do not offer Disney passes there. So, when logging on to the Disney Tokyo web, all tickets were sold out for the only day we could go as a family. I went on to Klook and thank God they had it there. BTW, I loved your costume changes ☺
I just bough my tickets on the Tokyo Disney resort website, no issues with my credit card… that being said I am already in japan (if maybe vpn is also an issue) and I have a Mastercard from a Swiss provider (if that’s relevant)
I’m traveling solo so can’t seem to book a Disney resort hotel and ticket package. Has anyone been able to buy tickets at the hotel on arrival recently?
We couldn't purchase tickets to Tokyo DisneySea on the official site using our US credit card, so we purchased Tokyo DisneySea tickets through Klook and had no problems getting in to the park. However we were not able to link our tickets to the Tokyo Disney app. I believe where we went wrong was that we tried to link the tickets while waiting in the long security line BEFORE entering the park. After we returned home, I read that you need to be inside the park to link tickets. Can anyone confirm that it is possible to link a ticket purchased through Klook to the Tokyo Disney app?
Would love a video comparing hotels! A video for hotels for Tokyo Disney, for USJ, and just Tokyo in general. It would be great if you could include general price ranges. Also a video with all the sit down restaurants at Disneyland and Sea and which are worth going to. Thanks for all the great content!!!❤️❤️❤️
Question for ya. We just bought our tickets thru Klook! But at I able to link them to my Disney Tokyo app? When you went did you just print out the Klook code on paper and use that or did you use your Klook app code or did ya figure out how to put the reservation on your Disney app? I’ve been reading stuff and it’s been saying multiple things.
Did anyone figure out how Klook tickets work? My Klook tickets also say they must be in a smart phone and cannot be printed but the file is not downloadable so I just want to make sure if I take a screen shot will they be accepted form my phone. :/
I'm a seasoned Walt Disney World goer, and been to Disneyland Paris several times as well. Since we're only in Tokyo for 5 days before going home we are thinking of 2 parks in 1 day. Why? Mostly to save time and I hope if I have already pulled of 3 parks in 1 day in Orlando the last few years that I might be able to pull it off here as well. Any tips though how that might work on the 28th or 29th of September? I already saw it's a weekend day/a weekend, so it'll be more busy, but I hope it being September balances that out a bit. And sadly I can't check premier access, but if it's anything like in Paris, I would assume we can book the access the moment we set foot in the park. I think it works that way if we then switch parks, you can only THEN book premier access for the park that you're in. Is that the same in Tokyo? :) We want to avoid having some hickups. Your warning about the credit card is good to know! Great tip!
Thank you for your content! I love your channel so much! I will go to Tokyo Disney this Nov 2024 and I'm so excited!! I have a question, I want to collect the paper entrance park ticket (It's sooo cuteee) What is the way I can get it? If I buy the ticket at Klook or online website, They will give the QR code that can enter the park but I want the paper ticket to collect. What can I do? 🥺 Thank you so much🥰
I'm looking at it, but the honest truth is the video will be very short. There's nothing labelled as vegan in the parks (vegetarian is slim too). I have an article that lists some options, but we need to research and update it. tdrexplorer.com/tokyo-disneyland-vegan-vegetarian-food/
Thank you for sharing the helpful video. I had been trying to buy tickets from the official website and app, but kept encountering errors during checkout, despite using various cards such as Canada Amex, VISA, US Chase Mastercard, and US Apple Credit Card. After watching your video, I realized the reason why. I have now decided to purchase tickets from Klook, which was a straightforward process. Thank you again for this greatly helpful video. I was able to get the official Tokyo Disneyland website to allow me to purchase tickets with a MasterCard. It rejected both my Visa and AMX. The website must be very busy because when I tried to buy our second day, it rejected the MasterCard when the website put me in to a waiting queue. Sigh. I'll try again tomorrow. But just to let you all out there know the MC tip is a good one and it worked once for me!
Can I ask with your klook purchase, how can you scan your ticket in or can you only do so when in the park? I'm going in March and want to be ready to be able to do premier access and get standby for some shops. Thank you
Would love an update on this one too! My Klook tickets say they cannot be printed and must be displayed on a smartphone. My Klook tickets voucher is not downloadable so I wonder if screenshots will suffice. Don’t want to risk not ring able to pull up the Klook app while in the park!
Can confirm once near the park I was able to use the camera to scan the QR code given by klook. I used my partners phone to scan the QR code. They don't make it easy :/
i had no problem buying the tickets with a foreign card on the official site. i paid using my capital one venture x visa card. I was wondering if you have any information on if Tokyo disneyland will have any special events on new years eve? that's when we will be going there. thanks
Have fun! Sadly, there's no countdown event this year. We have a guide on New Years you can check out for more details: tdrexplorer.com/new-years-at-tokyo-disney-resort-2023/
I don’t quite understand. Can you please help me out? So I bought my tickets online in the Disney page. And it said print at home. Well I don’t see a barcode on my tickets so i don’t know what to print 😢
At Disneyland and DisneySea last week there were people skipping the queue with some kind of ticket that I can’t find any information about online. There seemed to be some who were getting their paper ticket punched and others who’s paper ticket had their bar code scanned. Any ideas on what these queue jumping tickets are?
Today I bought my tickets (I'm sooooo excited about it ) and downloaded the app . Now I'll see how to scan the codes and everything. Do you have any videos about that? Can I link both tickets ( my boyfriend's and mine) in my disney account ? Thanks for your videos, they'll be very helpful :D Greetings from Chile !
If your staying at A Disney Resort Hotel if you wait to purchase the ticket when you get there can you also purchase the fast past? I’m not even sure if they have it but I seen some videos about reserving a time for the Beauty and the Beast ride. So is that a fast past? Thank you
Three months at the moment. You can check the official TDR website for all the information on the hotels including when to book! www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/hotel/dh.html
I've been trying to buy thickets online for when I visit in March, but it keeps sending an "error" message after I put my bank information. I've tried like 20 times!! frustrating
If you want to park hop (say you want to go to Disney Sea in the morning and Disneyland in the evening) can you buy two full price tickets (or one of those after a certain hours) tickets for the same date or will they not allow that. I'd like to do my 2nd full day split with one park in the AM and then a break and the other park in the evening with a full day in either park surrounding if that makes sense.
Literally don’t understand why it’s so difficult, we wanna take our 6 year old here instead of Florida but we like to plan a year in advance. It’s like they don’t want anyone outside of Tokyo to go
Greetings from the United Kingdom! I’d like to visit Tokyo Disneyland someday but as cool as smartphone apps were in the late 2000s/early 2010s, I am now getting sick of major companies making apps a REQUIREMENT just to use their services! This is ridiculous and shuts out those who aren’t so tech savvy! What if I wanted to stay off my phone for the day? What if my phone broke? (Seriously, my iPhone XS broke last year and the iPhone 14 Pro was still about half a year away!) I miss how simple things were in the 90s and 2000s! Things weren’t perfect back then either but what is perfect?
Hello! Can you give us an update on the construction going on in Tokyo Disney Sea? We are planning to visit sometime next year. (Maybe by April or May) Do you think they'll be open by then?
I am foreigner coming to Tokyo on dec 8. Can I buy Wakuwari discount tickets ? I have vaccination certificate with me. Can I buy it after coming tokyo or need to book in advance?
I’m glad I found you! I’m planning our trip for next fall and all your videos are so informative. Does 3rd parties have additional charges for buying tickets?
Hi, i checked at the website that king triton's concert at dsneysea is temporary closed? Really? I plan to go there this december, can u share if this is true or not? Thx
LinaBell!!! 🥰🥰 Can’t wait to go in December to (hopefully) bring her home with me. My US Visa card didn’t work to purchase tickets or reload my Suica. No issues with Mastercard.
Thank you so much for this explanation. I have one question hope you can answer me. I am a Disney park ticket collector and I would really like to collect the hard copy of the ticket. Does it means that the only way I can have the hard copy of the ticket is buy the ticket at park welcome centre? Or is there any way I can choose to have a print ticket if I buy online and pick up at the park? Thanks.
Tickets change constantly, so please refer to our guide that we'll update with the latest information. tdrexplorer.com/tokyo-disneyland-tickets/

Tokyo Disneyland is one of the best theme parks out there. Thanks for giving us detailed information. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, I appreciate that!

Thank you! Will do! Have fun during your visit!
Thank you for such an interesting and informative video. I could buy my family tickets without a problem in Klook, and it worked so well. I love Tokyo Disneyland
Thank you for watching! Have fun
Were you able to get physical tickets?
This video was perfectly timed for me, since I just started planning my visit to the parks today--many thanks.
Thank you for watching!

I had planned to do that but the day I was there I was in such a hurry I wasn't able to! You can only do it once you're inside the park.

Thank you so much for this video, Chris! Getting these tickets now is really confusing.
Thank you! I'm glad you found it useful.
This was a great and informative video! If you can navigate the complexities, you certainly can’t beat the ticket prices 😀
Thank you for watching!
This is so helpful, especially the hard copy tix tip for klook…thank you! In your opinion what month is a bit less busy?
Just got tickets for Dec 24 - Dec 28 directly from the TDR website. Only Master Card worked with a txt message & code validation. Amex & Visa were authorized by the card issuer but declined by TDR.
Nice article in this months WDW mag.
I'm glad you were able to get the tickets figured out! Also thank you for reading my article in WDW Magazine!
Thank you for all the info, it was very helpful❣️
How about kids (3 years 11 month), are we should buy the ticket? Thanks
We just purchased tickets from California using Visa card. No problems.

Awesome!
Hi! Great video and really help me. Could you please make a video about fast pass or priority in disneyland ? Thank you
I’m traveling solo so can’t seem to book a Disney resort hotel and ticket package. Has anyone been able to buy tickets at the hotel on arrival recently?

Question for ya. We just bought our tickets thru Klook! But at I able to link them to my Disney Tokyo app? Hi, I am having trouble trying to reserve lunch or dinner reservations at Disneyland, do you know how I do this? we don't want to miss out.
You have to do it on the TDR website or in person. The TDR website explains it all :)
Thanks Chris, This is A1 information for my trip in April 2023.
Thank you for watching, Michael!

Chris, can you do a vegan options video for Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea? :)

Do you know how we can purchase half day tickets to Tokyo sea? I used Klook to book our Disneyland tickets.
So, wich one is the best and easy way to buy tickets?
Great video and advices 😍😍😍 thank you so much

There seemed to be some who were getting their paper ticket punched and others who’s paper ticket had their bar code scanned. Any ideas on what these queue jumping tickets are?
Seems like people with the vacation packages. I was there last week too. Noticed they had the blue lanyard.
That would be the Vacation Package. But, Vacation Packages are only available currently on the Japanese website and not the English.
バケーションパッケージ以外でもディズニーの公式ホテルに泊まる人は紙のチケットを購入する事ができますよ

Three months at the moment. You can check the official TDR website for all the information on the hotels including when to book! www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/hotel/dh.html
I haven't seen any of the early evening passports available on any website other than the Disney site itself. Do you know where to buy them?
If I buy disney ticket from the agency and then buy premier access in TOKYO Disneyland. I will get QR Code in the email or ticket at the park
QR code
Can you suggest anyway I can get a physical ticket issued by the park? Seems the eticket purchased from the official website is a self-printed one😢
I've been trying to buy thickets online for when I visit in March, but it keeps sending an "error" message after I put my bank information. I've tried like 20 times!! frustrating
Sorry to hear that. Check our tickets guide that has more detailed things to try. tdrexplorer.com/tokyo-disneyland-tickets/
It’s like they don’t want anyone outside of Tokyo to go
Hi I’m from Japan and I love Disney !!! I have a question….
(Seriously, my iPhone XS broke last year and the iPhone 14 Pro was still about half a year away!)
I miss how simple things were in the 90s and 2000s! Things weren’t perfect back then either but what is perfect?
Hello! Can you give us an update on the construction going on in Tokyo Disney Sea? We are planning to visit sometime next year. (Maybe by April or May) Do you think they'll be open by then?
Do they still sell FastPass and if they are where or how can you purchase them?
I am foreigner coming to Tokyo on dec 8. Can I buy Wakuwari discount tickets ? I have vaccination certificate with me. Can I buy it after coming tokyo or need to book in advance?
May I ask, is there a priority pass for the rides?
Hello~~~ thank you for so many information! Do you know if meeting Marie is possible?
I’m glad I found you! I’m planning our trip for next fall and all your videos are so informative. Does 3rd parties have additional charges for buying tickets?
Thank you for sharing chris!!
My pleasure!!
Hi, i checked at the website that king triton's concert at dsneysea is temporary closed? Really? I plan to go there this december, can u share if this is true or not? Thx
Is it possible to enter disneyland without covid vaccine booster?
Great sounds great view. Disneyland. 👍
It really is!
Hi! Does tokyo disneyland & disney sea have mobility scooters for elderly? Thank you! 🥰
LinaBell!!! 🥰🥰 Can’t wait to go in December to (hopefully) bring her home with me.
My US Visa card didn’t work to purchase tickets or reload my Suica. No issues with Mastercard.
Our daughter is studying in Tokyo and picked up a LinaBell last week - too cute.
Glad it worked! Have a good visit next month!
Thanks.
I am wondering this same thing, were you able to find out?
