- Pokemon has done a lot of limited-time events and special distributions over the years, but is it possible to still experience it all if you missed out? Yes (mostly), and I'm going to show you how. It took some time but the finale is finally here, covering not just generation 4 but every special event the DS had to offer (and even some 3DS if you're lucky).

07:30 The Riolu knows Aura Sphere, a movie it normally cannot learn until evolution. The Heatran knows Eruption, which it normally cannot learn to begin with.
Funny that you showed some of my ranch footage that happens to have event pokemon in the background :) The developers seem to have avoided using any Mythicals specifically to trigger events, even the rival pokemon showdown doesn't trigger off of Mewtwo and Mew or Darkrai and Cresselia like you might think. The only event exclusive cutscene is Rotom Roulette, which requires all 6 forms to be deposited
Weirdly every Shadow Pokemon from XD: Gale of Darkness are met in fateful encounters. Also the Arceus Egg creation event I believe is the only way to get a Griseous Orb in HGSS and see Origin Giratina in that game, as Giratina removes the orb if brought into link features in Platinum and only Giratina can hold the orb in Gen 4

I remember the Dreamworld website, it was VERY exploitable but it was also incredibly fun
13:10 Despite what it says on bulbapedia, I could have sworn back in the day I used the normal transfer minigame to transfer the celebi I got from gamestop to pokemon white. The zorua event still triggered as far as I remember
That's exactly what I did to and yes it does work.
At 19:37, you show all the mythicals that can be obtained without even distributions in Gen VII, and due to opening the can of worms of PoGo, I must inform you that there is a permanent mission that results in obtaining Meloetta and a permanent mission that goes on for many chapters that currently ends with obtaining Victini.
Also, a bit of clarification that PKHeX is indeed also available for the Switch, thus LGPE, Gen VII, and Gen IX would have been prudent (even though it doesn't fully emulate mystery gifts for these games)

Fateful encounter Shaymin was made as a requirement for the Gracidea specifically to block Shaymin caught in DP by the tweaking glitch to get access to Sky Forme. The Shaymin in those games doesn't have the flag.
For the Arceus event in HGSS, it's also worth mentioning that the event is the only legitimate way of obtaining Giratina in its Origin Forme for those games
Minor correction: the Arceus from the Azure Flite event in Diamond Pearl and Platinum CAN be transferred to Pokémon Bank. I know this because I did it.
Fantastic video! This was a really cool and comprehensive look at all the DS/3DS era events! I actually still have the manaphy password memorized in my head since all the way back in 2006 lmao. But I think you’re honestly right, they really just don’t make events like how they used to. They have so many samey serial code distributions nowadays that they just feel like footnotes most of the time unfortunately. 😩

Reaccessing the Dream World? Oh, please let that happen. I'd love to revisit that place! I only vagually remember I played it back in... 2010 or so.
Hopefully one day the dreamworld will come back. I have seen they do have most of the old files as well online.

16:18 I'd like to mention that if you have a modded 3DS or any other way to extract the save da from your Pokemon B/W carts then you can use a tool to inject DW pokemon into the forest where they were downloaded after befriending them on the DW. In case anyone is missing that feature.
EDIT: Wait, you can use PkHex to do that? I used a different tool in order to mess around with the DW Pokemon.
I got an eon ticket last year. Really want to find who it was that streetpassed me, but I'll never know.
I used the AltWFC and my 4G hotspot in order to get event stuff for Platinum, SS and White. I already knew this could be done but thanks for telling everyone else that it's possible.

I tried the ranger code with 2 & 3, but it didn't seem to work. I guess it may only work for 1, or I was doing something wrong.
The one event Pokémon that eluded me was diancie from X and Y. I saw one distribution and nothing ever again. Feels like it’s forgotten and kind of frustrates me knowing my dex is exactly one Pokémon short forever.
Ah, I got a question now that the eon ticket is mentioned.
Where is t ticket itself stored so it can be transferred over streetpass? Is it stored in the console or is it stored on the game/savefile? Because I got it on a 3DS that no longer has a working wireless function but I played the game on another 3DS sometime later and I was wondering if I could still spread the ticket with this new console (or if I can do with with any other 3DS as long as I use my game with the ticket for that matter).
I believe the save file would be what distributes the ticket, so you should be able to spread the ticket on your 3DS with working Streetpass

The only little advise i'd give to the creator of this video would be to talk a little slower since people who dont speak english as their first language or ar not perfectly fluid in it may have some trouble understanding some things (like myself, needed to hear some parts multiple times). But thats it.

You can use PKSM to inject all the gen 6-7 wonder cards and event pokemon/items, as well as injecting them from the PKHex event database, I just skimmed that section because it was mostly information I'd already covered and wasn't anything too exciting on its own.
@@CannedWolfMeat So the pokemon from that are legit and not hacked? I mean action replay dsi cards are one thing that I had to use to activate events I missed for Platinum, SoulSilver, and Black.
@@ricardomarquez7730 Injecting an event pokemon would techincally make it "hacked" (since you didn't recieve it from an actual event), but it's still a legit pokemon and would be exactly the same as if you had recieved it from the original event.
@@CannedWolfMeat Yeah although I just wonder if the events will be available again since the old ones are available again from platinum and others.
I'm just waiting for the day where someone figures something out how to do this for the 3ds games without going out of my way
Fun fact: getting Nintendo WFC working in gen 5 is easier then in gen 4. I don't know why, but my current wifi works with gen 5, but not gen 4. I'm guessing they did something in the transition between generations to smoothen NWFC, but idk.
So yeah, shouldn't be to hard for anyone, and if you're like Chuggaconroy's internet, he found a way around it in his Pokemon BW2 Join Avenue guide
The DS only connects to WEP hotspots, while DSI and 3DS have actual proper internet functionality that doesn't endanger your security. Gen 5 are DSI enhanced, Gen 4 is not.
That's the only diffrence I am aware of.
