For anyone confused about the lights....this was back in the late 90s, and the light indicated who GOT hit rather than who did the hitting.

So… i fenced on international Level. I always thought Sergei was the the best.
He was my referee in a junior world championship in Plovdiv back in 2003.
One of my fencing career highlights was when after the poule he came over to me and said “good fencing”.
