Without spoiling too much, I just want to acknowledge that this episode gradually goes off the rails and eventually devolves into madness. I'm not sure exactly what was going on with me during this recording, except that I had an idea for how I wanted fishing to work, and the more the game pushed against that idea, the more I pushed back. Go ahead and lay on the feedback :) Hopefully we'll return to some semblance of sanity next episode!
I spent an early interloper run trying to subside on fish and it really did not give the economy of returns I expected... I think this was prior to using a starvation strategy though.
I think I got pretty good returns but if I had known the wolf would be such an issue, I probably would have just collected fuel and confined myself to a single fishing hut.
@@ArchimedesLP Yeah, I mean, I'm no veteran but hanging around Mystery Lake is asking for some doggo curiosity😁 Also, I did my fishing run prior to being able to make your own fishing hole... looks fun!
Reason why your tipups are breaking so much is that you are on fishing level 1 and when you use the tipups you do not get any experience as you would get hand fishing so you might want to read those fishing books ASAP.
Pretty sure I already read one book that put me at level 2, but regardless, all the information I've seen says that fishing level only applies to manual fishing and has no effect on tip-ups.
The stealth is overpowered(sneaking right up in the face of a rabbit or bird to easily plant a stone between the eyes.) This is kind of debatable of course, I don't feel nearly as strongly about it as I do starvation, torch/stone, etc. especially since it might detract from the overall experience.
I don't think you need actual fishing tackles for your tip-ups. Once crafted, they essentially last until they break and you don't need to spend a single extra line&hook. Kind of weird/unrealistic, but it is what it is. Tip-ups are a bit overpowered IMO. But this was fun. I drifted into sleep by the end, but that was what I wanted (real world insomnia :D).

Bro was fishing in a game as long as most people are fishing IRL😂

Got that grind going this episode 🎣
Wolf patrol was a hoot. That was a lot of fish 😂
I felt like I was gradually going insane.
This wolf at the end really wanted you dead.
Helping the cause, one comment at a time 🙂
seems weird to see Frankie not lit.

Why are you not sneaking? I’m about an hour in and I may have missed your explanation for it. Love your videos!
