- These are the Top 5 best disk cleaners for your computer. For many years, CCleaner has been one of the most trusted PC cleanup tools. That all changed last year when Piriform, the maker of CCleaner, was acquired by the security giant Avast. Since then, it’s suffered a serious malware attack by hackers compromising more than 2 million users. And more recently there have been privacy concerns regarding their data collection policies. In this video, I will show you the Top 5 system cleaning tools for your PC, that are the best alternatives to CCleaner.

I chose the top pick due to its pure simplicity without any ads, pop-ups or unnecessary extra tools, plus I'm biased towards free and open source programs. 😀 Prior to using any system cleanup program, it's always best to create a system restore point... Thanks for watching!
Top 10 under 100 mb must have windows software next
Thank you. I always liked ccleaner mostly because of it's registry cleanup feature, but with the always-on, always-watching incorporated into the current releases, I decided I would rather be able to control which software would be allowed to run and when. Bleachbit is primarily a deep cleaner.
Exactly I cleaned my computer manually and afterwards created a restore point and don't need any freebies which are dodgy or will be dodgy some time.
@@CharlesvanDijk-ir6bl Many or most of us don't have the skills to do a system clean up manually. So why would you even comment? Not helpful. Thanks.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else needs to find out about how to clean registry try Skyarza Faster PC Star (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate got cool results with it.
Its weird hearing someone say Ccleaner for the first time. Up until now, I have always said it in my head as "CC Cleeaner" and it kind of stuck for me.
Same here LOL
omg i thought i was the only one 😂
Same HAHA
Lmao me too its sound better
As always you have given us some great information. Still one of my favorite sites. 4 thumbs up!
Thank you for this presentation. I will look into your recommendations. Your are always right on.
Love your videos! Keep up the good work! Been subscribe since you had 15 000 subs!
thank you .. you are my best tech channel!
شكرا لك
As always awesome videos !
Thanks for this list :D
👍Great choice, fine philosophy! Thank you! 😎
Good Info. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing it.
Nice video friend! Thanks for sharing.👍😎JP
Concise! Thanks
Thanks for this.
Great and very useful video
Thanks for the recommendations! I'll find one right for me. In many cases though, I've used Eraser for years. Either I missed it (most likely) or those profiled didn't list individual folder/file selections. Eraser provides: multi-wipe options (up to 36 pass); File/Folder selection; free for personal use; HDD/SSD wipe; temp/cache/browser clean up.
good information. easy to understand. thanks
Thanks again for your amazing videos, they help so much :)
Thanks :)
You my friend, deserve a million subs.
That go has been accomplished
Thanks for this.
Ccleaner now also pops up randomly informing me that's updated itself even after being set not to run at start up. This I don't like. It seems to run about the same as it always did.
exelent vídeo, thank you
great video...thanks...qq- which one of these apps is recommended for use with SSD?
THANK YOU .
Auslogic. I’ve been using it for a month or so now. So far I like it. I may even purchase the pro version. It has done a great job, doesn’t bother me with too many pop-ups, has not corrupted my Win10 OS, and is easy to use. The only thing I question is that it wants to “optimize” (NOT DEFRAG) my SSD. It does recognize that it is an SSD. So far I have chosen not to do so because I’m not sure what they mean by “optimize”. Other than that, I’m diggin’ it.
I've used this for a few years and it picks up stuff CC misses, and fixes malfunctioning software sometimes. You have to be very careful when installing it though, to select "Decline" and any relevant tick boxes to avoid any unwanted crap being installed.
thanks alot bro
as usual a really high lvl video #techgumbo
nice video very useful
Thanks a lot
thank you very much for the heads up regarding CCleaner! I have the paid version. I Uninstalled it today and purchased Glarysoft. It's a fantastic program and I have used it in the past so I know it's trustworthy.
Thanks again!
@CSRT4 Ever
just for that reason. I have used it for a long time and never had any problems. I use it now and don't have any issues. it does what it says
Im using bleachbit! Will the other 4 mentioned above be a good backup cleaner for the same!?
Thank you. Just about to try Bleachbit
I've been using Glary Utilities for several years now and it really does work well. I started with the free version but after a few years I upgraded to the paid subscription which gives a few additional features, plus they were offering additional software with the upgrade. A full scan on my laptop takes about 30-40 minutes but if I uncheck some unnecessary steps I can get it down to about 10 minutes.
I'm currently using Utilities I wanted to try It as I'd been using Advanced System Care for a few years & so far Glary has impressed me especially with repairing disks It gives a much better scan.
very nice video
Thank you for the video and the recommendations. Using Ccleaner, now to give the other software a try.
hi techgumbo,
ive only heard about you the last few months which im enjoying your videos very much, i was watching the video on top 5 ccleaner alternatives, we use trend micro sequrity would one of the cleaners be ok to use with either of these.
john
Thanks for wise cleaner I just freed up 5GB thanks man awesome awesome
Good review C cleaner I dumped when I seen changes in its cleaning time plus lots of shit come through advertising links. These power mad corporate guys can hide most things but not the smell coming off their actions. Not possible to hide form experienced persons who knows what Wolff's smells like.
#1 Privazer 👌😎
Could you do a video or videos on best windows 10 apps from the windows store please
Thanks for the Info, how about Reg Organizer 8.7
Thank you for the video, I have been using CCleaner for over 10 years at least now. I had no idea about the Avast take over. Appreciate the headsup.
Likewise
Not sure if it is interesting to support software that forces (?) disk defrag, while in 2019 SSD's are very common now. Maybe the fact it does support Windows XP, is an indicator for the fact this software is to be used on old computers ? I guess there is an SSD detector built-in, right ?
Thanks Gumbo. I have been hit with some scam offers since using ccleaner. Not sure if they are related, but maybe your tip will help.
Yeah, you have to be careful when installing Ccleaner these days. There's a option in small print to install avast. I fell for this once myself. It was a bitch to get it off.
I subscribed.
thx
thank
Privacy Eraser is a very cool free tool and it has great UI without any ads or popups.
I bet it erases privacy
Make a video on css & php Wordpress plugins.
We installed CCleaner on a few of our smaller client's PCs, especially to keep that precious SSD space in check. Recently discovered Avast AV on a client's PC. Yeah so client clicked next on an update, got Avast installed alongside the ESET that was on there. Annoying.
I have Advance system care pro and system mechanics (number 1) in optimizing, cleaning and every maintenance that you can think of for pc!
@CSRT4 Ever lol
@Amsterdamnster Kush I can confirm, I had to do a system reset on my laptop after system mechanic absolutely fucked the registry
@Amsterdamnster Kush It's a virus according to my AVAST anti-virus.
GLARY UTILITIES HAS EVERYTHINGGGG I CAN EVEN CLEAN SPECIFIC DISK AND SEE EXACTLY WHATS TAKING UP SPACE!!!!
I have been using Advanced SystemCare for a couple of years and I have to admit its really good. I upgraded to the PRO version and its worth it in my opinion. The pro version speeds up everything and its basically automatic. The interface is really good and easy to use, u can even change the theme, either through the software or downloading from their forums.
I recommend it basically.
Good video and have a good day :)
NearDaniel I don’t like it
Malwarebytes hates Advanced SystemCare & so do I sorry.
which one do you prefer?
I might give it a try then ty =)
I liked advanced systemcare for a few years until it became separated into 10 different programs and you need pro for each thing for it to actually do anything. The defrag program and the anti malware program they have now used to be included in the ultimate version but they removed it because it did too well. As we all know the more programs you have running the heavier on the resources. I would recommend moving away from Iobit products as they are becoming a very greedy company. I am going to be honest and this is from my and many many others experiences. All you need is malwarebytes and windows defender. People are going to come and bash Windows defender because it used to be crap but it has become one of the best out there that are free, and no need to install 3rd party software.
Also Check out Drive Tidy
thnx
Windows 10 Pro comes with an inbuilt cleaner and it automatically cleans the available storage media installed in the PC at regular intervals in the background.
its not good enough
@@Yiss8352 why not
I use Ashampoo Winoptimizer along with Bleachbit and System care. They all do a great job - I usually run all 3 in succession in case one application misses something.
don't use iobit or ashampoo dude
@@pastoryoda2789 Please elaborate!
samnella9 they have spyware just like Ccleaner now
Clean master 🤔
Thanks, Brother. I have been using CCleaner for more than 5 years and decided to dump it now.
What are you using now?
R. K. Bansal any update what you been currently using
I’m using Tuneup Utilities 2014 which it has had the windows 10 update done and works well however, has it had its day as being old or does it still do just as well like others? I don’t want a cleaner with malware and virus protecting as I have a security suite that has that. I just need a tuneup program keeping it fast. Can anyone recommend one just for that please?
what app would you recommend for a phone
As I use linux, all my machines have BleachBit, and also FSlint.
Wow thanks for explaining but I can't find who asked
If you have windows 10 you don’t need any of these it’s built into the system it’s called storage senses.
To slow
I still find random folders full of gigabytes of data it doesnt catch, found a folder with over 8 gbs on old nvidia drivers
Some people have been brainwashed into thinking they need these cleaning tools, so let them have their bloatware, using up all their available RAM, and CPU.
@🚀Kalle🚀 what software do you use to keep it clean and running fast?
I use system mechanic, and have been using it since 1998.
System Mechanic is absolutely shit. It fucked my laptop's system registry, I had to do a system reset
iolo system mechanic is a virus use Glary Utilities instead.
So which is better the 1st or the 5th?
Thank you for this : CCleaner continuous access to the Internet has become unbearable.
sounds to me like you are a Russian Hacker and you have something to hide.
what are your suggestions for replacing all iobit software, driver scanner, malware fighter, system care etc
they are pretty good why do you want replacement
Amazing opensource is best
SCleaner is also quite good
Anyone remember Spybot? Everyone used to have that one!!!
spybot was legit back then
I still do.
I still use them both.
Still use
Omg! Spybot Search & Destroy. How could I forget that? Thank you for that dose of nostalgia, lmao. Back in the Win XP days of using Avast free Antivrius. Loool
I had been using Cc cleaner for 2 years but now it's detected by my AV it's showing some kind of TROJAN malware in Cc cleaner , now i'll go with Glary Soft . 👍👍✌
Thanks Buddy
Which av it was?
Also you may had the malware update
@@Thundr4 Avira but now it's safe still m using Cc cleaner L. Version
TotalAV so far so good what I use now
Clean Master and Kerish Doctor are pretty good as well.
I've used jv16 for years as well as cc leaner. It seems pretty good to me, but I'm far from an expert.
Does any of these cleaners offer the flexibility of controlling start-up software?
if you have windows 10 then go to task manager its there
if you use windows 10 then you can manage start-up software in the task manager.
Use msconfig.exe in Windows 7.
Don't listen to the others posters in this thread. There are only two types of people using Windows 10. People not caring about Microsoft spying and collecting everything you do on your computer and idiots.
I pay $5 per month for a "cleaner" program - will these alternatives clash with it or can I try them out without any problems?
can i run multiple cleaners at or different times?
Have you done a similar video for mobile devices?
I have the hardest time finding a good cleaner for my phone too
Look at AVG
If you have a newer phone, there's no need. My S8 plus has one built in.
Every phone has built in cleaner.
Which one has the lowest cpu or ram usage
Bleachbit found so much more than c cleaner. I’m not sure if c cleaner did any thing.
Please tell us the best video editor for smart phones like the new Note 9 like I have. Thank you for your time.
CCleaner, Wise, Advanced, Glary, Privazer, all come in a FREE Version. Most are not open source.
MOST of these apps try to start when you start windows, and THAT is an issue. Personally I like to start them when I want them to, and not have them running in the background. Advanced is really bad at cleaning programs from your start menu, programs that you actually WANT to start. Most will not HARM your PC by removing things you need, but SOME WILL. Be careful. Back up first. Haven't tried BleachBit yet, so no comment on it.
Privazer is the least intrusive, and has always worked flawlessly.
CCleaner, agree with comments.
Wise, less intrusive than Advanced.
Glary, OK but always wants to start in the start menu.
you know u can turn on or off the programs that launch on startup from the task manager right?
OH SH* the second one is the best!!! It has so many things to work woth! I boosted my livestream alot!
Ill edit this and tell you what else is happening
Updating ALOT of drivers..
@UCnZxXD-sbw2JSQu455-25lg a couple days ago I realized it was slowing down my pc a lot and using up my ram
@@shybester Lol you must have like 128 MB of RAM or something.
@@toothlesstoe (true) I have 4 gigabytes
Hey buddy! I wanna root my phone for like a short period of time, like a month, week, a couple days, or a couple hrs. Therefore, I hv some questions regarding that. Will it (short-period-time rooting) dmg my phone (BTW my phobe is already out of warranty)??? & plzzz suggest me a vdo which you think is good for quick rooting and unrooting the device... Plzzz reply ASAP.... Really need it... plzzz reply fast!
Currently getting rid of ccleaner and using wise clean from now on, a far, far better product.
Any plans on making a video on mobile cleaners?
Mobile phones have built in cleaner. The ones which you can install from play store or App store makes your phone slower. Also they are useless
Keep on working on cleaner reviews both on PC and Android👍
ya try jetclean its free and good
Thanks . I choose #2 because I like the Emoj Movie 🤣 No but really. I am biased on OPEN Source as well. We should all get away from these other dominant algorithm controlling, Government / state sponsored platforms. We truly know now they do not have our best interest at hart. Ill go now, and put my invisible tin hat on, I do thank you.
I tried Malwarebytes and it fixed my Dell. Admit I had to run it in Safe Mode but it worked.
Todd Sanderson '
I used Malwarebytes and it continued to get hacked. I also got a continous notification that my firewall was turned off. Now I'm using Totalav now. Not sure about it now in 2021 ? They sure like to try to get you to buy extra stuff. My hard drive runs fast and then slow. When I try to log into my banking website it begins to speed up ?
Please make a video of best alternatives to MS OFFICE.
As far as I remember, TechGumbo has already done a video on that. LibreOffice, WPS Office, to name a few.
@@Supervideo1491 I know, but it's a year old. There's some new updated applications such as FreeOffice 2018.
FreeOffice? Interesting...
WPS Is a very nice copy. You can even download it in the microsoft store!
@@julianbonskilzz Very useful application but intrusive ads are making painful to use.
I use Glarysoft, while it's very good, there is ALWAYS an update every time I start it. It's annoying.
You need an update
Bleachbit is the best and open source
Which of the "Top 5 Software" Is the Best you Guys Tried?
IDM alternative
Gary is AWESOME
Glary I mean.
I used to have Advanced System Care but was tired of their ads popping up every god damn second. That was in ~2009-2011. Glary is good. It's basically CCleaner but manages to clean other parts of your PC which CCleaner doesn't care about. Currently, am using CCleaner and Glary. Sad to know CCleaner was bought. We've been betrayed.
EDIT: LOL, I wrote this comment before I even started the video (I know, I know, I'm an idiot), and as I started watching, I found out that Advanced System Care still has a fuckton of ads. Somehow, I am not surprised. At all.
lmao
Now that Avast has been mentioned...
What free antivirus software would you recommend?
Furthermore, i'm very tired of those irritating popups regarding my privacy. :-)
Thank you in advance.
from my personal experience AVG is basically avast without the annoying popups
best AV is the built in windows defender
How to get rid of old files in the start up menu
For IObit it installs an Uninstaller instead of a cleaner
