A proud joint European aircraft... makes me sad that everyone did not get together and make the next 6th gen.
Funfact: Take a look at it's stats. It has a massive thrust to weight ratio (1.35+ unladen) and nose authority... the only aircraft to rival it is the F-22 Raptor... and even then the Typhoon wins in many departments.
Also, the British Variant came in to service with ASRAAMS and AIM-120B's... and the 120's were replaced a year later with Meteors... which are like super Phoenix's with predictive pathing, speed varying, link capable and loitering features.
And an expensive one too
@@Nicolas-zw5ex At the time... Typhoon now costs as much as a F-16 to make... (ergo very cheep). Also the design and prototype was infact quite cheap, costing Britain 80 million to fully develop the EAP (Typhoon prototype in 1986).
It's the training that costs the most, as it's one of the hardest aircraft to master.

@@Nicolas-zw5ex Operational and unit cost are not expensive... they are the same price as a F-16... F-16's are one of the cheapest modern western combat aircraft.
It's the "Logistics" that are expensive... Crew specialisation (Pilots and ground crew) require longer training due to it's extreme complicity, all at western salary prices and transfer of spare parts due to limited users. It's not a world wide aircraft, it was/is only available to countries who pre-ordered (invested) in the program, therefore parts are not sitting around the world and have to be specially shipped.
Mid life it used to have a expensive operational cost as it got upgraded with new top of line tech, but that new tech is not so new and much more available now.

@@petrkdn8224 France wasn't involved in the Eurofighter program. That's why they built their own jet instead: The Rafale
@@sooryan_1018 Both France, and all other EF2000 developers were still kinda involved in the two project, as France did participate in the drawing boards of the EF2000, and kept lots of concepts in their own development, hence why they are so similar

Typhoon has better stats than the Rafale....
Take a look at it's thrust to weight ratio and nose authority online. Also it's airframe can handle over 13gs (but the stick is restricted to NATO standard (-3/9).
The only stats the Rafale has over the Typhoon is 1 extra hardpoint on certain versions and a better stock combat range.
There is also a upgrade program for the Typhoon that's on standbye (if it has to go war)... where even stronger engines with thrust vectoring will be installed. It can also get a arrestor hook installed and land on a carrier, but has not been due to the F-35 program.
Typhoon is a beast.

@@Bruh-de8ej Rafale has slower acceleration, nose authority, lower speed, lower surface ceiling and a larger turning circle... which can be checked by anyone... Typhoon has a raw (Completely unladen) Thrust to weight Ratio of 1.35... the only aircraft that has a better thrust to weight is the Space Shuttle with the F-22 Raptor rumoured to be similar lol.

I think if they were to add the typhoon, they would add the FGR.1 and not the FGR.4 that’s pictured here
Better yet... They could of introduced the EAP (1986 British Typhoon prototype) long ago... it's engines were mediocre... but had good maneuverability and the ability to carry and fire a X8 combination of upto X8 ASRAAMS or upto X8 Skyflash SuperTEMP..... but ASRAAM missiles would be well ahead of the current missiles in WT... featuring all the best aspects of the latest Sidewinders and AMRAAMs.

@@Postal_Dude_Petition Yes, it's only 4th generation. It's not like it's better in every aspect than the Su-57, which, by the way, has the same radar cross-section as an F-18. Impressive, right?
The F-22? Now that's in a class of its own. When you look at the costs, the F-22 is more than twice as expensive as the Eurofighter. But hey, who wouldn't want to pay double for some fancy stealth coating? Clearly, money well spent!

Many of their past games are named in Russian, and a large part of the community is based in Russia.
