Interpreting Crane Load Charts

- Safety professionals need to interpret a variety of charts including load charts for different lifting machines--cranes, forklifts, excavators, elevators, etc. In this video we take a look at the load charts for a Manitowoc Lattice Boom Crawler. Please keep in mind this chart only applies to a specific model of crane and there are slightly different layouts used by crane manufacturers. All manufacturers do focus on the same three primary variables affecting a crane's chart capacity--boom length, radius, and boom angle. The presenter is Dr. Doug Martin. Dr. Martin earned his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University and is a CSP. In addition Dr. Martin worked as a safety manager in the construction industry for 20 years. Perfect video!! I must have searched dozens of topics to find the answers I needed which you very informatively provide in this video! We need more videos like this from English native speakers, I am so confused as to why these videos are so hard to find in English!
Good. I'm glad the material is useful for you. I have another UA-cam channel that is all crane stuff. It's called Load Chart Laboratory.
Very informative. Thank you!
