  • This is an accuracy test of the JSB KnockOut .177.
    The slug is tested at 30 m on 5 different power settings to find the right velocity.
    After the accuracy test the slug is tested if it is fit for hunting.
    Here are the links for the videos that I am refering to in the video:

    Hey there Peter, I was itching to get those myself! I got lucky with my personal tune. Because at the moment my rifle was shooting at 14.35 PFE. Looks like I hit the jackpot In accuracy, as these 10.03g slugs are grouping less than a quarter of an inch at 30 yards. I was amazed that it actually did better than my preferred pellet, the JSB HEAVIES which have never let me down. But having said this I noticed that the slugs feel tight in my barrel...
    Overall, at the speeds I normally shoot, I don't really need to go into the slug shooting world, but this little 1.77 slug IS worth having
    around :-)
    The groups you achieved at that high speed were really good to at settings 3 and a 1/2.

    • @VikingAirgunner
      @VikingAirgunner  3 роки тому +2

      Hi and sorry for my late reply.
      The heavies are super pellets. I used them for at long time when my whole setup was based on a lower reg preasure, but after gettin into slugs it just needed more reg.
      Super cool that you can get the 10,03 gr to group well!!! At wich velocity are you gettin the best results with both the Heavy and the 10,03?

    • @leftymadrid
      @leftymadrid 3 роки тому +2

      @@VikingAirgunner Peter yes, I believe the numbers are as follows, the JSB HEAVIES 10.34g are hitting 786 to 791fps, while the knock outs 10.03g lost 25-30pfs in flight. I imagine the tight fit would be the reason. I'm thinking that Over time the slugs may wear the inner barrel. So, I think I will still be using the HEAVIES, there's just something so darn satisfying when you can hit a 1/4" diameter target at 50 yards! :-)
      And there are days when the wind is calculable that at 93 yards I've have scary great results! A regulator is a must for these distances, at that low power, with a 1.77 caliber. Also the Element Optics Helix scope 6-24X50 spf helps a great deal!
      Stay safe, crazy world out there...

    • @VikingAirgunner
      @VikingAirgunner  3 роки тому +1

      Halløj igen 🙂
      Jeg ved det faktisk ikke.... jeg havde selv en mk1, men den var af de sidst producerede, så den var faktisk med STX. Ted Bier lavede en video, hvor han testede et hav af hagl og slugs i forskellige linere, men det var i cal 25, så det er ikke helt sammenligneligt, men det er en god indikation på, hvilken retning man skal gå. Så vidt jeg husker var ST ikke så godt med slugs.
      Har du overvejet at skifte lineren ud med en STX? Eller måske STX Superior, der er på trapperne.
      Ellers er det en god ide at opgraderer med pin probe og dual transfer port. MK1 kan langt hen ad vejen opgraderes til en MK2. Det gjorde jeg i lhvert fald med min den gamle 🙂
      Men tilbage til dit spørgsmål - ST er umiddelbart ikke en succes med slugs, så derfor mine anbefalinger om at skifte lidt af indmaden 🙂

      Wow how great for you 🤗
      Since I made that video alot had happend in the airgunning world. Impact Mk 2 has evolved into the M3 and I have learned alot more about tuning, so if you are ready interested in seeing this evolution and what the M3 is capeable of you are very welcome.
      One note: Always a good idea to check how old a video is 😉

    That's more like a 14mm group in real measurement.
