Can either product, PDFElement or Nitro make a pdf document into a fillable pdf, which can then be emailed to clients for them to fill in with adobe reader?
Thanks for your response. I would like after creating the pdf fillable forms with an embedded qr code field, than most of our clients will fill out the form after it will be printed out from their adobe reader, then we need to decode the form data into our system, but unfortunately we received them with a square gray hides the qr. How can I overcome this issue?
I am glad I found this. I have been going back and forth when all I need is to edit PDF documents and Adobe has lost their minds with the cost. Thank you
I have pdf element pro for my macbook pro when I travel or work at home. I have had it a few years now. There are a couple of features it doesn't have that adobe does, such as optimizing/compressing the file size smaller. However, it is inexpensive and still quite powerful and fast so I'm very happy with it.
I've been using Nitro Pro 10, it was working fine until they offered me to upgrade to Nitro Pro 12 and I started having problems with files not saving as shown on my screen or showing as "Corrupted files" when I email the documents as attachments, today I'll try the PDF Element and I hope that will work for me. Thank you for making this video.
Thank you for sharing this. My old employer had Adobe in every work computer; pretty easy to get used to! I'm in uni and recently got Adobe since this semester is very PDF heavy; but the software seems the same as 6 years ago! You have to do workarounds for simple things such as "splitting pages in two halves" and the OCR seems to be that of OCR's earlier days. I've had better experience with Free OCRs. Absolutely not worth the price. I'm definitely not resubscribing. The good thing about Adobe is that their "fill/sign" feature is very user friendly; but not that much easier that others
Hi Scott, I need to merge multiple Google Docs in to one single large pdf. I also need an interactive table of contents. What is my path of least expense? Will all three of these options do those jobs? Sure love your help!!!
My work has PDF Element. I have found problems with the OCR feature in PDF Element. Specifically, text is mis-aligned or inaccurate. In my efforts to figure this out I scanned a document that was stamped by our office as "Received" with a date. Initially, it was scanned without being OCRed so when I opened it in PDF Element and completed the OCR function, this "Received" stamp was changed to "Deceived" with the date. This is not acceptable. Then I scanned the document with the office copier and used the copier OCR function and it scanned it accurately.
Scott thanks for put this very helpful video. But free software and online services are interesting too. Your voice sound very professional, you have to consider the radio.
Very Urgent, thanks at the beginning for your tutorial. I would like to obtain two things: 1 Interactive QR Code within a fillable form, in Adobe Acrobat it's very difficult to have it works in Adobe Reader it changed to gray square. 2 Extract the filled data to our AS400 system. Thanks in advance.
Scott thanks for this review. I don't have a great need for this type of work but when I do I have been using PDFescape, the free version. I believe they do have a paid version also. How do you feel it compares to the ones you reviewed here? Thanks!
So if you use Adobe Acrobat Pro for four years (typical computer life) at the $180 annual cost, that is $720, more the actual computer cost in some cases.
I prefer Bluebeam Extreme over Adobe Pro. Adobe Pro was the norm at two engineering firms I've worked for and has been dumped for Bluebeam. I've now worked for 3 land surveying firms that now use Bluebeam. The user interface takes a little bit of getting use to probably because of being so normalized to Adobe Pro. Bluebeam can be expensive though and is justified if you are working in the architectural, engineering and land surveying fields.
Thanks for the comparison. Any thoughts on which is best for working with forms? More specifically, adding fields to import data (like names of varying lengths in certificates, then CENTERING that name within the fields). A couple of programs I've tried always want to 'left justify' the data within the field, which doesn't look as professional on a certificate. Then I'd want the batch to save each page to a separate document.
Hi Scott, I am struggling with annotating a PDF. I get PDFs calendars/checklists monthly and need to be able to edit them, add checkboxes, mark items complete and keep the most up to date version with me, either in Evernote or google drive. I've tried annotating them inside Evernote and that doesn't work well. What's the easiest product for me to use? Thanks for your videos!
Hi, Leah. I'd recommend trying out PDFelement or Nitro and find out which is easier for you. Both come with a free trial so you can test out what works best. Thanks for watching!
I would like to see you do a video lesson just about PDF Element Pro. I have been struggling with using PDF Element Pro successfully especially removing unwanted images. I just give up out of frustration.
2.25: in pdfelement you click and drag and move an image or text container to a different place, while this works for me too (as long as I'm dragging within the SAME PAGE of the pdf document, it doesn't look like I can drag anything to a DIFFERENT PAGE of the same pdf... Whatever I dra onto, say, the previous page just vanishes!!! Like it becomes invisible (or gets hidden below another "layer" or something)... Is this a bug with pdf element? Does this happen to you too? Any ideas on how to fix it? (BTW I am running the current version of the PDFelement Pro software)

Very good information, i'd like to request some study of PDF SAM and PDF Architect. why are they similar, whats the diff between them, which is better. i've owned them for years but i'd love to hear other verdicts on the programs.
@@Simpletivity The reason i started using PDF Architect was the way it handled PDF documents. Editing felt compatible to working on a webpage and a text document at the same time. i was using Adobe before but got annoyed at how it was handling text when i had to do alot of changes. I received an e-mail that my Adobe Acrobat is set to expire, and to keep from having a lapse of service, I need to update my credit card, and will be charged $23.88 a year for the subscription,,,,,,is this a good price?
Hi. Do you know if Nitro allows you to optimize pdf files by compressing/making the file size smaller. It's a feature I use often with Adobe, although I don't want to upgrade from my old paid version to subscription. Also, does Nitro handle links and can it set default bookmark view when you open a pdf .... something adobe does of course. Thanks!
With PDF format as popular as ever, we had looked forward to this video-- only to find the material a disappointment. Only three products were reviewed and the feature sets quite outdated.
Not answering the question in your title is frustrating. "Get the product that's right for you" is ubiquitous on the web and not what people are looking for; they're looking for an opinion that comes from experience.
I can see that this product is an adequate solution for the "English language document". Maybe even possible to work intelligently under the various European languages as you know how different languages are using different sections of the Unicode in computers. The OCR in this product is geared towards the English language mainly, which is basically just the 26 characters of the alphabet plus some variations like a capital or small letters etc., some asciis numerals, comma , and full stop etc..How about enhancing the software to be able to scan automatically all 10,000 characters of the Chinese language, the scope of which has been carefully defined under UNICODE.. if I receive an intelligent answer to my request I will stop posting..😊
Acrobat DC junk is pissing me off. I miss the old Acrobat XI , was so simple and just worked, I dont understand why they need to have all this CLOUD GARBAGE and bubble menus and clutter.... and all these subscription payment models, I dont understand why I have to pay 400$ a year to open a document file and edit some lines/ scan a document, its madness. Im actually looking for older outdated versions of acrobat just to get away from subscriptions trying to attack my credit cards every month ^^.... every freaking software company has moved to subscription service, between 4 different companies milking me im paying like 100$ a month for software I use once a week its getting ridiculous .
@@MyaserIbrahim I would recommend Adobe AP. I think it's the easiest (for me) to use; however, I will tell you at this current point in time, I am using Wondershare PDFelement.
