While there is no free PDF editor with the entire feature set of Adobe Acrobat Pro, hopefully you find that those mentioned just might have the tool or tools that you need... Thanks for watching :)
You missed out PDFGear! This is hands-down the best free alternative to Adobe Acrobat Pro. Has way more features than any of these other contenders you mentioned and is completely free. Give it a try - I'm sure you will be impressed.
When it comes to editing a PDF I have had some success using Libre Office Draw. Its a little quirky at first but after you get it down works great. It will open a PDF and save it as a Draw file for easy modifications and it will allow you to export to a PDF. One other plus its free and works great in Linux.
All of these programs including PDFGear have one thing in common. They don't provide any more functions than Acrobat reader, which is already free. Anyone who uses Acrobat Pro for professional document production use a vast array of dynamic field functions which are in a different class altogether. Marking up documents and drawing objects will not equal a replacement for Acrobat Pro. I appreciate the effort you put into making this video, I just wish someone would come up with a real replacement. All of the UA-cam videos on this subject make the same assumption. So few people really understand what Acrobat Pro is used for.
what is the best alternative to rearrange pages? I like acrobat has thumbnail I can make 5x8 to see lots of pages and drag and drop to new position far away, and still be able to see the page on the right, when I use my 24" monitor. Most other program show only thumbnail, or one column of thumbnail that I can only move by a couple pages. So far no program yet I found could do what acrobat does with rearranging pages. Would love a good alternative that does that so I can move through a lot of pages and still be able to see the page in good size.
I need a PDF editor this is best suited to export to excel, paid or free. Excel power query is supposed to read PDF'S and import the data into excel however it does not work wtih "unstructured invoices". Because of this, I need the best PDF exporter. BTW: I tried Adobe but it does not keep the line items of an invoice on the saem line making it very difficult/time comsuimg to fix. There has to be better!?
guys please summarize me. what is the best alternative for "Adobe Acrobat DC"? Im just downloading files and maximum i do is edit some stuff, write some stuff and add signature... sounds crazy to pay 230$/year for this....
Nah, Inkscape is better I have tried in Libre office draw multiple times, but when opening a pdf many things are wrongly positioned. I had to edit a payslip recently (ethically of course) and this time I tried Inkscape instead. And the result was pixel perfect Only downside is that it is slow for pdf files with many pages since it loads all the pages at once
@@AbhishekBM - OP used the word most in his statement, so still holds. Also, although Inkscape is awesome (!!!), I can't imagine teaching it to my parents, whereas I could see them learn Libre Draw. So it has more features, but not better. An F1 car is objectively a better car than a 2004 Toyota Yaris, until you want to go from A to B on a public road.
@@AbhishekBM Agree, in some situations Inkscape works better... it's a much more advanced program. Btw, do you know if Inkscape can open and edit and save multi page pdf document?

I use Indigo PDF because it's completely free and and seems to have the most features.
What about Scribus? On top of simply editing it also has scripting capabilities...
+1 to this. I found for making editable form fields its one of the better options.
Hello, Ashampoo PDF Edit Free application, not mentioned... thanks!
Can it edit existing text ?
How about Nitro Pro? How about Foxit PhantomPDF? Are they robust and good?
You forgot one that is also free open source, LibreOffice Draw.
Actually , won't their ENTIRE Office suite CREATE and then SAVE TO PDF ?
