Awesome job on your garage, I love the pattern and the LED lights. I am trying to figure out if I should go with free flow or solid floor tiles for my garage. I prefer the free flow but my garage floor is unfinished. I was thinking of painting the floor with a dark grey color before putting down the tiles so I’m glad a came across your video. If you are looking down at the tiles is it easy to see the underlying floor? Also, do you think the addition of red tiles would create a drastic contrast with a grey painted floor?
You won't be able to see the floor imperfections through the ribs as most of the times the light will reflect and create shadows. Darker painted garage floor might show dirt and gravel through the ribs and reduce the intensity of the red by diving a darker foot print. This style of tiles with ribs/free flow are brilliant at hiding dirt, and allowing for water to drain under the surface. I vacuum mines every 6 months and give them a good wash. With a solid floor tile will require weekly sweeping and washing.
