Hi Luke I am wondering what you do with all the tents that you test do you keep them and store them somewhere or do you sell them online as used tents?
He has been doing this for years and yes he's very good and frankly I think he underestimates his value but by keeping his core product like any company he does well.
I can't remember how I found you, but I am so thankful I did. My best friend of 30 years passed away in July unexpectedly. A blood clot to her heart we talk almost 30 years every day. I have watch so many of your videos as of late. I find a peace and comfort with you and Susie. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us I hope you are as blessed as much as you bless us! Just wish I could share with my friend.
I love that sound of rain hitting the tarp. During all the time I spent out in the woods while contracting, the best times were under a tarp drying out with a small fire as the smell of the freshly brewed instant Folgers filled my little hootch. It was even better at night. I am older now and somewhat dilapidated, but the memories still serve me well. I might even irritate the wife when it gets abit colder and pull out my old ruck, grab a tarp and setup in "the yard" (10 acres of mixed woods and pseudo-pasture in the Sandhills) and have a coffee while it is raining. Thanks for the videos Luke and may you continue to have a good life.
Id love to do that right now! I've always loved being in the woods while its raining. Granted that Ive got some type of shelter and the proper gear. Its so peaceful. Just thinking about it is relaxing. Less people come out in the rain. Usually less people equals more peace.
After watching literally hundreds of hours of your camping adventures and reviews, I have to comment. In my opinion, you have the highest video editing standards I have ever seen. You also have audio that is also very consistent. I cannot imagine how much time you put into producing a video, but they are not only top notch...but very informative. I thank you Luke!
I really like Simon a bloke in the woods also, love his long walks in the English countryside especially. Kent survival also good but I prefer Simon's videos.
Love the tent and tarp idea, although the setup and finding a patch of ground big enough to stake out the tarp could be a problem. I still love the idea. Thanks luke 😀🇦🇺✌️
These storm adventures are the best thing on UA-cam. The editing, producing, time invested, just mind blowing. So entertaining. Thank you so much Luke. Cheers my friend 🍻
Yup, he is a pro film maker. Not silly movies with 95% cartoon tech. The thunder sounded close. I wounder how close Luke has been to lightening or it's been to him. I've had a half dozen close strikes. Seen two transformers blow up. Little heater (and not that little) and a big tent with the front door open. Duh.
Thank you for the kind words! I completely agree, storm adventures can be absolutely captivating. And I couldn't agree more about the editing and producing of Luke's videos, they truly are mind-blowing. By the way, if you're passionate about outdoor camping like me, I highly recommend checking out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It's a versatile powerhouse that can keep your devices and appliances running for extended periods, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like us. Happy camping!
I like the way Luke doesn't over talk the sounds of nature but, lets it speak for itself. All that lovely rain and wind reminds me of where I'm based in the mountains of North Wales, UK.
Gotta say that I personally love the longer videos and they seem to be over too soon. Yet again another well done video by Luke with honest reviews and I can’t wait for the video with this tent and a wood burning stove!
Hello Luke, here in Virginia visiting my son. We are camping at Long Mountain. Having great time , beautiful weather. We all love your video's and have gotten great camping tips from you ,thank you.
Wow, look at the colour of those trees. Beautiful. My favourite time of year is autumn and the wind is my favourite weather. Loved this trip. Am impressed with the tent . Bargain❤
I am the same with dreaming. I wake up so tired. I would love just to be able to switch the lights off and wake up several hours later happy and refreshed.
Been watching your videos for a month or so. I am impressed. Love the way you present all the products. The scenery, the weather and the conversation you carry on like we are all right there with you. Used to go out camping all the time with my friends and buddies in my younger years. Had my Toyota Land Cruiser and could get just about anywhere I wanted to go. Now I am 71 almost and it’s more fun to watch you do all this than trying to do it myself. Also my wife has had 8 major back surgeries as well as other surgeries and sleeping bags and sleeping on the ground is not on the menu. Keep the videos coming and I will have a ear to ear smile. Ralph Wiley. Medford Oregon
I have to agree about Luke. He really draws into the experience. Makes me really want to camp again even if in the backyard. Oxygen keeps me closer to home. That’s not a problem because we have horses and cats and dogs that all vie for our attention. So the backyard is great. Happy 🏕️!!!!! May God Bless you and keep you safe
I sometimes go months without watching any of your videos, but I always return. I’ve got health issues and other things that make camping difficult - including a family that’s not really interested in camping. Your style of video makes it able for me to enjoy it vicariously! The closest I came recently was camping all weekend a few weeks ago at Virginia International Raceway. It was in a super luxurious RV so not quite the same but at least I was sitting outside all day and night, exploring the infield wooded areas, etc. It reminded me I needed to catch up on your videos!
Loved this video and the tent is awesome! If i were younger and still had flexible body parts, i would definitely buy this tent and begin my adventures. Leaves were gorgeous and a perfect storm. One of my favorite adventure with you. Strength and honor buddy.
I always look forward to seeing your videos Luke. They are so adventurous and informative. Love the way you laugh when you know there is a big storm heading your way. Can hardly wait for the next video.
I would have pointed the tent downwind - front opening 45 degrees to leeward and the sleeping end 45 degrees to to windward. This would keep the front open end dry and also allow the wind to carry off any smoke from a fire or cookstove. I'd like to see how waterproof the tent is without the tarp. This tent is really unique. Almost a modern baker style with a porch and interior sitting room.
Just watched the Set-up for this tent. Now the Storm Test. Tarp is perfect. Great size for me (6' 5") & Dog. Little tight for two average people. Got to have coffee or a good tea. I used a Cheap Six person Coleman (Walk-in) & used the other side as a vestibule for a table & chair/storage: Canopy over site table with a cook area - 20 gal. propane - tree: light, grill & stove. Massive wind & Thunderstorm came in off of Moose Head Lake, Maine - Off the Lake. Took out a Hugh Tarp and covered everything and added extra lines. Use Coleman steel stakes. Opening - opposite coming storm. Hot Tea. Big chair between Table & Tent opening. Gas off - Could cook if necessary. Repositioned Vehicle. Snug as a Bug. Interesting Experience. Cabin better. No one likes tent camping in rain. Survival is key. Storm over - took tarp off. Sunshine. Another day. Thanks.
I'm like earnestpaul. The sound of rain on the tarp is almost like rain on a tin roof. They both make me want to drift off to a peaceful sleep. I'm older as well, and my joints aren't as good as they used to be. But those memories 😊. They keep my heart alive. Thank you for this video and for the internet for our old hearts 💕.
If Terrence Malick made camping videos, it would probably look like this. I just watched a creepy camping video and this played automatically after, so i just discovered this channel. The level of detail, the camera work, the way you communicate to your viewers is very professional and something I appreciate. Top notch! I just love the atmosphere and the sound of the wind and rain. Cheers 👍
Thanks so much Luke for all you're information about all you're different trips.I have learned so much from you.Ive been shopping for a all season tent and will be purchasing this one.I like everything about it.
I was looking forward to a test on this tent, i can really tell how bad you wanted to try that tent, makes me want to go for an overnighter immediately, luckily the weekend is around the corner ! :) take care luke !
Loved this video, the info on the stoves, and of course the rain and storms. And you’re right, can’t depend on the weather forecasts anymore. The weather itself is different around here. I miss the good old days when the weather forecasts and the storms were predictable. Love a good storm!
I was impressed with this Hot Tent when you posted that first video about it and with this video, I'm even more impressed. I can't wait for your rain test video of it. I fully expect to still be impressed with this tent. For this price and how well made it appears to be, it's just all around a nice tent to have. I'm very tempted to get one now just to have for future car camping.
I should add for that awning opening. I'm surprised someone hasn't made zippered side panels to add to it so you can have the main flap open, but have the sides covered to keep wind/rain out better.
Your camping trip was sure something look foward to. But you kind of showed too much regarding your heater. Maybe next time you can insert a mini size wood stove & buy some presto logs & wood if you don't want to deal with gathering & chopping up wood for it. Thanks for sharing your camping trips with all of us though. ⛺ 🌲❤
Ryan Hall Yall is the best weather guy by far, hands down. He's on you tube as well. Out of all the people out there, He's been the most accurate to date that I've listened to. Check him out and see what you think. Lovin this Nature hike tent for sure. Great deal.
Awesome video Luke. The tent continues to impress. I hope it passes your future rain tests. This is my favourite time of year. The colours are beautiful and the temperature is dropping. Take care and all the best, Jono 👍🙂🏕️🌲
I enjoyed watching this episode in the living room on the TV instead of on the phone, I thought the tent held up well, but I can’t wait to see it in the rain. See you when it comes back on.
Wow, that was an intense adventure! You are brave to face such harsh weather conditions. I love your hot tent setup and how you managed to stay warm and cozy inside. Thanks for sharing this amazing video!
Hi Luke! My first thought was "Luke, why are you pitching your tent in the middle of the road?" Good explaination about the wind. As I am watching this it is stormy and wet in Austin, (it's about time.) I had a thought about sending you something. I think i will.
Hi Luke, hope you and the family are well. I have a small request…on your awesome videos when you announce the temperature can you do a old UK guy a favour and add a Celcius conversion please 😊
About 8 degrees C in "new money" I always have to do the math myself. It's the same when they say miles and pounds... brings me back to my childhood. Lol 😂
I live in a dessert where there is little to no rain for months at a time. When I miss the rain I just plug in one of your new thunderstorm videos and enjoy. Thanks so much for all you do!
I love camping during a storm. I was up on the ridge of a dune (really not the best place for lightning safety) overlooking Lake Michigan in my hammock and a storm rolled through. I have a costume made 4 season tarp and I can pull that down around my hammock and that gives me lots of protection. Love it.
49:53 Awesome red leaves or is that just the sun? Thanks for the reviews. I also solo camp in the winter but only for 2-3 nights and hopefully without rain. I don't use heaters or cook. Yea, I'm lazy. I go out for breakfast from my 2track tent and stay outside most of the day. In snow I take my cc skis. I am looking forward to another on my bday -- 76yo
Another great vlog Luke thank you. I'm glad you said you will do a true rain test on this tent. Like to see you use a stove in this tent this winter as well. Stay safe.
What's insane is you can hear how hard the wind is blowing. The damned tent is stone still, he's having a normal volume conversation inside of it. Man I wish I could find a tent like this for my 4 man family.
I've had this tent for a few months now and have ran it through its fair share of hell. It's an absolute TANK. Luke raves about this tent and its value and I can also say this is the best damn tent I've ever owned. Truly, if you ever have a need for this tent I can back up everything in this video. I can't speak highly of it enough.
Love your storm video's Luke and what a nice size tent ,great cost. that was some storm with the wind rain thunder. Love the fall color's up on Wolf Mountain Suzey and yourself are blessed to own that property to camp on and enjoy nature at it's finest. very much enjoyed this .
I used to turn my nose up at large tents as I wanted something I can carry in my pack. As I get older, I realize that I just want to get outside and enjoy the time. I’ve been car camping more and more. Maybe it’s time to look at a bigger tent. Thanks for all the reviews and adventures!
Hey Luke, I'm really enjoying the rain 🌧️ thunder and lightning ⚡ oh you to😂 I'm surprised you didn't have broccoli 🥦. I love this kind of weather. You make me hungry. The food looks so scrumptious. Lone wolf mountain is gorgeous. Can I live there? You have your buddy. I love the tent. Thank you for another amazing adorable and awesome music ending the video. ❤ MS Ann
I don't see the point in doing a wet weather hot tent test, when you cover the tent with a tarp ( great way to not see if it's water proof ) and cover the chimney port ( making it unsable ) for me this was not a real, let's test this thing, it was a maybe waterproof tent with a tarp over it, just saying😕 and what's the story with the second heater ???? exactly the same as the first model, just in a bigger box and you still would need to keep a door open due to the gasses being released
Lol, You Always come prepared. I think you bring/have more items in the woods than mostbof us do at home to cook/sleep. You are ' The Man ' , Luke. God Bless 🙏 you and your family.
Life will never be the same after what all of you have dealt with this past week. Thanks for your continued posts. Look forward to an update when things settle to a degree. Our prayers are with you
Just wanted to tell a little story about the advice you gave to the newly engaged couple. I noticed a sign the other day in front of a church in a small community that said "words break hearts, not bones". And thought about the childhood saying "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" and thought of how untrue it is. Words can always hurt. Especially if they come from someone you love. I'm going to change the phrase in my vocabulary to "sticks and stones may break your bones but words can break your heart". Bones heal much faster than a broken heart. In short, you're advice is perfect.
When he says stove he pronounces it as “stoove”. His accent sounds like he’s from Minnesota. He always says “super, super…” at least once in every video. Very strange guy but do love hearing the rain sounds..
To stop the water running into the tent I thought Luke is going to utilise the tarp, and he did. I have never been camping but know how the tarp features highly in most of his videos. Will I get a medal for predicting this?
Luke, you are so awesome! I am very grateful you showed on my feed. Your videos are so relaxing. When I get off from my stressful job, I make dinner, then me and my son (16 yrs old) love to have dinner and enjoy your calming videos. Your laugh is contagious lol. Totally addicted to your channel.
I love the way Luke talks to his audience. He is clear and easy to understand. He talks to his listeners as if he is talking to his best friends.
Because he is not Canadian 😂
That's what happens to everyone who talks to a camera for more than 6 months. Try it. ;-)
Hi Luke I am wondering what you do with all the tents that you test do you keep them and store them somewhere or do you sell them online as used tents?
@@mikebonnett7730that is a great question, I wonder if there is a website where he sells that gear.

Am 81 and in hospital much of the time. Am able to camp with you with the videos. Thank you for the adventures , if only in my mind. David
Hope you’re doing well atm
Hi, David. Hope you're doing well today. Great day for camping. :)
Well David, you're not alone my Friend! I feel the exact same. God loves you my friend, if you haven't, give your life to Him! God bless you.

something peaceful about camping in the rain and storms.

Nothing better then camping when it's raining, tucked-up in your sleepong- bag just gives you that warm & cosy feeling !
Makes me want to go camping now. Every day I watch. Usually watch at night to relax me.
I am jealous of being able to head to Lone Wolf Mt. and camp in rain, in beautiful surroundings, so often. Cool tent too.
That's a super looking tent, very cozy, very happy you put your tent under a tarp. Maximum protection.

Good job he had a big 4×4 to carry all the equipment
Beautiful sound of the rain.
I've bought a $50 tent and had it up in a severe rain and wind storms to no avail no leaks.

Watching Luke pull out all gis camping "gadgets" is like watching the camping 007.

My thoughts too about baker style
I, too, would like to see how it does without the tarp. I'd also like to see how it does with a wood stove. Maybe a later video in the winter.
The outide skirt looks to be a sod flap and could also be used inside the tent with a floor (tarp etc.) over it.
Why did you add water to the spout and to the finished coffee... to prevent hissing when pouring?

In a predicted storm, I'd be putting up my tent as close as possible to the car, less chance of getting wet if I had to bail.😂
I really enjoy your windy camping trips . Makes feel like I'm there
Im homeless 10 years. I've tented everywhere. I would have slept in the truck if i had one.
Try finding an abandoned van and restore it to live in 💕
Cool story bro Homeless as in jobless? If so, wtf you doin commenting on a yt vid…?
@@thisguy7175 i have a job. Just can't afford rent. There are homeless people with youtube channels like myself.
Why cuss ?
@@jameslashley3970Maybe because they can..
Or no self discipline.
I'm 61 years old and I have found the best way to forecast weather is to go outside and look up 😅
😊😊
I used to turn my nose up at large tents as I wanted something I can carry in my pack. As I get older, I realize that I just want to get outside and enjoy the time. I’ve been car camping more and more. Maybe it’s time to look at a bigger tent. Thanks for all the reviews and adventures!
How can test if the tent is waterproof if you cover it with a tarp?
Did you watch the video? He said the tent didn't get a true test because of the tarp and he would be doing one without the tarp in the future.
I would say it isn't a review, just Luke using it how he wants to and suits him. When he does a review, he is true to the use of the equipment.
That’s some serious glamping
Did you really just put up a hot tent in an actual storm and not even put a stove in there, jesus mary and Joseph give me strength
Yes I agree, he said it was "hot tent camping" - well, no it's not you need a stove for that. He just can't be bothered buying one.
Umm it's warm out. No stove needed!!
I'm the same with sleep very vivid mixed up dreams 😊
How is this hot tent camping without the hot stove????...ehh
Hey Luke I enjoy your camping and reviews, but how about more camp fires and blue sky's sunshine and a little less rain events, thanks
Luke is my go to guy when im looking for a new tent...i just need his stamp of approval and i feel comfortable purchasing.
Can’t wait for the water test on that tent. Hope it’s soon. I would like to buy it.
Our prayers are with you
Give my regards to Streng Thanonner.Streng, you're doing a grand job !
Lovely scenery and rain camping. Thank you for sharing. The tent has too many issues to rely on however it would be OK for summer or beach camping.
I wish I was there to enjoy the storm too!
Looks like a fun tent for hot tenting! Thanks for bringing us on your adventures.
Thanks Luke, enjoyed the Tstorm, wind and rain
