Very happy to be able to help you my man!
I'm starting Dremel for crib boards in the near future and I'm so excited! Your videos are going to be a world of help for my carves in the middle of my boards! Quick question, is the thick burr with the terrific angle come with the Dremel stylo that you attached above?
You prolly dont care but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my gf for the last few weeks xD
@Phillip Mitchell Yup, have been using instaflixxer for years myself =)
Good afternoon sir, I thank you so much for your wander full teaching I am learning from you my GOD bless you.
Thank you for your time and work and details, these are great projects for not only young whipper snappers but us old retired grumpy old men. Please don't ever stop sharing your creations, GOD bless you and family.
Hey, Just wanted to thank you for this video. I tried carving with hand tools for awhile and switched to power tools for several reasons. I have watched other power carver videos; most of those you just watch them as they carve and hope you can pick up what they are doing. So, I really love that you tell us step by step what burs you use and how to hold them and what you are doing step by step. I really was hoping to find tutorials on doing the 3-D layered carvings I've seen done by hand carvers applied to power carving. and this video is really what I needed. Keep up the great work! Thanks
I picked up our carving about a year ago and I’m just a natural at it if you get a chance check out the Calla lily I just curved on my channel super amateur videos though they’re just for my memories
Yours are the only video's I routinely watch several times. Please keep making them. Ever since I discovered your channel (about the same time I finished my shop) as an intermediate woodworker and carpenter, I find the embellishment of a decent carving to really put my simple pieces over the top. Thank you... It's been like a gift. I do need to practice, of course, But thanks Matt!!!
Great video,! What I love is the fact that you embrace your mistakes and run with it. Thanks, I’m looking forward to watching more.
Your work is great!! I am just starting out and have watched multiple wood craving videos, your's is by far the best one on the internet.
Thank your for showing me the right way to do thinks.
Watched this for the first time and have to say it was a great tutorial as are all your other videos I have watched are
Finally plucked up the courage to have a go myself as I have only just purchased a dremel
It took me a while but I finally got to watch this. Very Nice video Matt!! I really need to find the time and get some carving done. Thanks for the video!
This is by far the best video you've made so far. Thank you so much for the useful info. I mostly use a router for carving. I wish you would introduce a router in your works. The main challenge is to know where to deepen and the angles. Thanks again for getting me started on 3 dimensional carving.
Outstanding demonstration.Thank you!
Thank you very much, Gary!
Great explanation of procedures and burrs used during your carving. Very helpful, and thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hermoso trabajo!!!!!
Outstanding demonstration!
Thank you sir!!
Thank you. Very inspired. Started carving.
Glad to hear that!
Excellent work 👍
Thanks so much for the pro tips. Ive had all the tools but had no idea what i was doing. You make it very understandable.
Glad you are enjoying the videos!
From an island in Scotland I loved you vid thanks.
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice. I appreciate the finish on it. Great job
Glad you enjoyed it!
I literally bought my Dremal about 2 days ago. Tried to carve my 1st spoon today, didn't turn out great but it was fun and very relaxing.
Started using that inverted cone burr. That is awesome to use for straight line. Thank you
Right on!
Can't wait to try this. First official project 👍
Thank you so much, I really want to learn how to do this, so I am sticking with you to teach me. Thanks again
Very cool carving Cornelius I love the 3D look and the way you added the hair well that was amazing.
Thank you, Gavin!
Lindo parabéns ,pelo seu trabalho! ❤️👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
Thank you for this video. I have watched many other power carvin videos; most of those you just watch them as they carve and hope you can pick up what they are doing and very few are doing 3D relief carving . So, I really love that you tell us step by step what bits you use and how to hold them and what you are doing step by step. I really was hoping to find tutorials on doing the 3D layered carvings I've seen this done by hand carving tools and carvers but ever applied to power carving. and this video is really what I needed. I learned a lot. Please make more videos like this. Thanks
Happy to hear that! I look forward to seeing you around here.
Fantastic. Im learning so much.

Anything that is worth having is worth fighting for. Who knows, you may pick it up and be a natural. You should give it a try! I appreciate your kind words.

Great video my guy!!!! I’ll be trying this soon. Love, peace and blessings brother.
Thank you, Mendell!
Hey sorry for the idiotic question but iwhy do you use Polyurethane and not poly acrylic I was once told the polyurethane can stain yellow so that's why I'm curious?...
Amazing Work Dear friend😍
Thank you my friend!
Practice makes better . Noone is ever perfect 👍
Thats cool 😎
I have learned so much from your tutorials and apply EVERYTHING in my carvings. Normally, I work with mixed mediums but with a load of good sized juniper logs I was gifted, I'll be doing more carving for sure. Waiting for my Dremel bits to arrive to do the finer work you teach so well. Thank you. Love your latitude for making mistakes, as this makes me less nervous.
Very nice work indeed bud
Thank you kindly
Hammer, best wishes from Germany.

Thank you it was helpful! what would you have done differently to avoid blotchiness ?
Классно получилось 👍
Matt makes it look so easy, mine is nowhere like his
But it's fun trying, long may he show us Good carvings.
Comments are good for the algorithm 😁nice job!
Thanks! 😁
Thank you so much for this! I have to carve something out of a wood block for one of my sculpture class final projects, and the teacher hardly explained the actual techniques and just told us we could use a dremel lol . i have the 4000 and the stylo thankfully so it shouldn’t take too long!
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic!!! De argentina
Thank you!
Trông nó thật đẹp!!! Tuyệt vời !!!
Hey Matt this was awesome and I was able to learn a lot. Quick question... What do you think about Paulownia wood for power carving?
Hi I am Salim from Mauritius, this is the best tuto I ever seen, I am a Graphic Designer and your video is a big motivation for me and others to learn these skills, thanx for these videos and i really appreciate this video, please do more of these kind of design and videos
Hey Salim! I am happy to that you are enjoying the videos. I always appreciate comments like these because I have many hours into making them 😁. So glad to hear you are motivated. I look forward to seeing you around here!
Oh I am so honored to hear from you, you know dremel is very expensive here, can I work with a Ingco rotary machine and how to make a business with these stuff?
You sure can my friend. Work with the tools that you have available and you will be amazed at what you can do.
Thank you so much for this video! I bought a dremel and was too scared to use it...till now.
Cool,
Sand some areas to give it some highlights,
👍
Not a bad idea!
I love your show, learn so much from you. My problem is, where can I find templates? I want to make design for Hawks . Please help! Thank you.
Great Video. How long did this take you to make and how much would you charge for something like this?
Ola de argentina fantástico!!!
Thank you!!
I liked this video a lot. I just got a Dremel 4000 with a flexshaft for Christmas and have been watching all sorts of videos on UA-cam and have "caught" quite a few of your helpful tips. Thanks for making and sharing your videos they really help.
I did have a question though. I looked in the description below the video and the Dust Collector that you are using isn't the one that comes up when you follow the link. I was wondering if they are no longer making them or do I need to order straight from the Company?
Thanks again!
Hey Cory! I am happy to hear about your new Dremel! The dust collector is usually sold out. I would look at the website and try to order directly from there.
Your are awesome ,thank you so much. Julien Lamarche.
You are very welcome
I'm learning to carve in 3D, with your help. My question is, how do you know where to carve in or out and where to determine the depth? Do you have a diagram that is color coded? thanks for the help.
Love your videos, very helpful. So you carve in a normal “room” or studio as you called it. I have a room upstairs with my computer, wood burner, etc and would like to try to carve with my Dremel 4000 and flex shaft. Is this feasible?
Thank you! ONLY if you have dust collection!
Great vid dude. Does the Foredom hand piece fit the Dremel Fortiflex ?
I believe it does, I need to see!
LOL, I chuckled when you placed the template in the middle of the carbon paper and had to make 2 cuts with the scissors and reduced the reusable portion of the carbon paper, it's OK, I might have done the same thing!
It's been a while since you've been here, missed you.
Thank you, Mark!
i just bought a dremel, do the tips wear down over time or blunt?
wow
What grit do you recommend for Duragrit inverted cone burrs?
Hi Just purchased your Spartan Template Bundle .What thickness of timber would you recommend ? Good videos by the way very informative !
I am happy to hear that, David! I hope you get some great use out of it. I also recommend wood burning the designs as well! I pickup basswood slabs that are usually around 3/4"
@@CorneliusCreations Just purchased Walnut Hollow Basswood Rectangle Panel-8-inch x 10-inch 3/4 inch from amazon and will try wood burning . Many Thanks !
Sounds good! Let me know how it turns out!
Nice work man !
Where do i get this flat head you are working with?
Thank you bro! They are from duragrit!
I'm a lefty, and just starting out with carving . I find it hard to control some of the bits . Any advice would be helpful . Really like the carving . Thanks.
