    Thank GOD! A gear review that doesn't start with 10 minutes of blathering before I even know if I'm interested in the gear! Nicely done, that's a killer riff.

    The Sansamp sounds amazing, there's some kind of "fullness" in the sound that makes the other pedals sound a bit un-natural almost. Really impressed by the GT2!

    A very efficient and concisely put together Demo - Following up with the actual slasher track is a nice touch! - I have the Behringer and it's useful to hear the significant improvement that the more expensive modellers achieve, however I'm also satisfied that the behringer doesn't sound too bad at all either, considering it costs 1/6th of the price. Good enough for my front room at least

    The GT2 is stellar for a one-ish trick pony metal sound, namely basically every era of Rammstein (if you're willing to put a nice chunky clean boost or a tube-screamer before it, and a touch of EQ after to taste for that Paul Landers sound). For the most versatile and powerful industrial metal beast, its much bigger pro-level brother is the rackmount SansAmp PSA-1, which given how insanely difficult (but totally possible) it is to dial in perfect tones it saved from being too much of a hassle by having 99 presets to save your endless tweaks ad itinerations as you hone a sound. Then you end up having the ultimate ADHD rig: tune up (fresh strings of course), plug in, pick preset, and it'll sound/feel exactly the same every time. Once you've spent weeks/months nailing the tone for your favourite song, that's dopamine on TAP! Exactly the ticket too starting an initially goal-less studio session.
    The GT2 is basically one SansAmp PSA-1 preset, minimal knobs to change. So beautifully simple. The PSA-1 has a learning curve like a brick wall, but you can basically accretive the rearchitect of most amps from scratch, Mad level power

    Esse pedal ou mesmo um outro mais avançado poderia dispensar completamente o amplificador? Toco em bares e festas , uso guitarra, playbacks , backing tracks e voz. Mas não gostaria de carregar amplificadores. O que vc poderia me sugerir. Obrigada!

    Played metal gigs with gdi. Plugged into different amps every gig and always sounded good. Weather its solidstate or tube. Always sounded good. I can find a good sound. Just plugged in front of the clean channel.

    Hi, really nice sound! I wonder, did you remove noise orbuz from Sans amp GT2 tracks, or this is non-edited tracks? Thanks.

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  10 років тому +2

      Thanks. I didn't remove any noise, these samples are not post-processed. Using a good guitar pickup and the right amount of gain helps a lot with the noise issue

    How exactly does one hook this up? I had a sansamp but couldn’t get it to work going direct to my interface.

    • @mattx5499

      It was designed as an amp simulator and it has some speaker simulation, but don't expect it to sound as good as an real amp + cab + mic or built-in speaker simulation to be as good as impulse responses plugins. Some people use it as a preamp in effects loop or as boost/overdrive/distortion pedal in front of an amp. All options can sound good with proper settings and when recorded direct it would be better to use a cab plugin or equing to get rid of the sizzle.

      isso depende muito do seu amp... no meu caso pra ficar parecido com o dele eu usaria graves 3, medios 6, agudos 7

    Depois do GT2 o que eu achei legal foi o GDI 21 parece ter mais peso que o Hobbertt que achei meio embolado e agudo demais.

      Fredrik Svärd Yeah the GT2 is one of the best amp sims ever made. Not quite as versatile as an AxeFX but it also doesn't cost an arm and a leg either.

    The Tech 21 and Hobbertt were really close but I'd have to lean towards the Tech21. The Beheringer was crap. Sounded like a tiny transistor radio. I really, really liked the other two though. Tech21 is on its way to my board.

  • @MichaelDespairs

    Too much weird very high treble, no saturation, no attack. I've heard them live before though and it sounded okay dunno if he used a tube screamer maybe.

    I can not hear any difference at all! Why not? Because they are internally the same! Same components, same opamps. lol The difference you hear is the mojo on the brandname! Rock'on

    • @fransvanhelvoort1083
      @fransvanhelvoort1083 7 років тому

      I do know because I build these things! lol There is a difference in used opamps but that does not in influence the bad sound of these stompboxes!
