    I made no mastering in this sample. Has a compressor, used as a limiter only (in the video editing). But in my new productions I'm using more mastering stuff.

    Perfect sound!.. here's a question about the 2 guitars panned (right/left). Did you do it on the recording software or can you do it thru the pod hd ?

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  10 років тому

      Thanks! I did through the Reaper software, recording two separate tracks. Line6 POD HD has a Loop feature to record and play over, but this was not the case.

    Bom dia, sério?! Caramba, tá impecável, tenhod e reiterar, sobre seu som!
    O fone que usa então deve ser ótimo, o mais "flat" ou "fr/fr" possível então, pra te propiciar tal arcabouço e referÊncia desse timbre que está fiel aos valvulados. Qual o AKG utilizado? Eu estou usando um clone muito bom também do porta pro, mas, em termos de relação ótimo custo x benefício, ambiência e proximidade a um monitor recomendo caixa ativa a exemplo da csr 2500, já que presumo ninguém aqui ser abastado p/comprar monitores profissionais/p.a.
    Grato pela disponibilidade, e irei conferir.

    Boa noite, tenho uma jackson idêtica à tua (só que preta e cpas emgs hz).
    Sobre teu vídeo, está excepcional, monstruoso timbre!
    Congratulações.
    Mesmo a minha pedaleira não sendo a 500x posso fazer a conversão do arquivo para hd500.
    Então, poderia disponibilizar o seu arquivo de pacthe? Ou enumerar os parametros usados neste seu, presumo, "dual tone" de mesa boogie?
    Outra indagação: além de só usar o notebook, reaper como daw e gravador, não utilizaste mais nada - plugins?
    E o principal: qual foi o amp/monitor de referência/retorno para ter feito este som avassalador?

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  10 років тому

      Valeu Tales!
      É possível converter os presets utilizando um software, procure por "Convert & Modify POD HD Presets". Veja na descrição deste vídeo eu já disponibilizei os links para donwload do meu preset utilizado, inclusive para várias versões da POD incluindo a HD 500.
      Nesta gravação não utilizei nenhum plugin de áudio, é 100% o som da POD HD 500x direto no PC.
      Para o monitoramento do aúdio utilizei um fone de ouvido da AKG. Abraço!

    timbre lindo!!! Num gt2 o microfone estaria no classic? e o amp marshall ou mesa boogie? +Lucas Aldi2

      +Jean Kleber Já tive um Gt2 e usei muito tempo no classic, o mesa ficava muito grave, mas é possível compensar na equalização depois.

    Olá Lucas, muito bom e construtivo esse vídeo, e todos os vídeos do seu Canal, Parabéns !!!
    Bom, tenho uma dúvida um pouco complexa, se você puder responder, ou mais fazer um vídeo, seria muito bacana,
    sou usuário da POD HD 500X, e gostaria de saber uma forma de usar 3 ou mais pedais analógicos junto da pedaleira, a
    idéia é usar um Pedal de Booster, um Pedal de Overdrive Low Gain, e um Pedal de Overdrive mais pesado, e na pedaleira usar as modulações, ambiências, e filtros, sendo que gostaria de aproveitar alguns delays e reverb´s junto dos analógicos, como ligar tudo isso sem ter que ficar sapateando, por exemplo, estou tocando uma base com chorus, ai entrarei em um Solo no qual vou usar os pedais de Overdrive mais o Delay da Pedaleira, como fazer isso sem ter que ficar sapateando, bom espero ter sido claro, se puder por favor me dê uma força ai Lucas, conheço muita gente com essa mesma dúvida, até mais Abraços !!!

      Tiago Radaeli Legal Tiago, é uma boa sugestão para futuros vídeos. Eu já utilizei pedal analógico dentro da cadeia de efeitos da POD porém não gostei tanto do resultado, mas preciso explorar mais, de qualquer forma é possível inserir um pedal como se fosse um efeito a mais no preset da pod utilizando a entrada FX Return ou se quiser utilizar mais de 1 vai precisar entrar como um conjunto na mesma entrada. Minha sugestão é vc tentar aproveitar e explorar o máximo os efeitos da POD pra minimizar a necessidade de outros pedais adicionais.

    Awesome stuff, man.
    Would you reccomend this over the GT-100 for recording and jamming?

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  9 років тому

      Both are great units!
      My personal opinion: LINE6 = Best amp tones / BOSS = Best effects processor.

    • @mikescanlan4653
      @mikescanlan4653 9 років тому

      Lucas Aldi So if I was going to get all my distortion from the amps, go line 6 and if I wanted the distortion from the built in pedals, go boss?

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  9 років тому

      Mike Scanlan No, if you going to use amp modeling (direct - without real amps) go Line6, but it´s a matter of taste. I can only recommend you to test both on your guitar, if you can.
      I've had a Boss GT8, is a great device, but I felt it much more difficult to tweak. Now I use the POD HD500x and I think the most simple and easy and sounds great.

    Sounds really good. I have been wanting to get one of these for a while. Are you using the built-in cabs on the pedal or are you using an IR speaker impulse loader in the DAW to get your cab sounds? If I do get one I will definitely be downloading your patch - it sounds great!

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  3 роки тому

      Tks Frayed, I used only the built-in cabs on this, but I know that you can achieve much better results loading some IR on this device using some extra pedal live Moer Radar.

    • @frayedsanity
      @frayedsanity 3 роки тому

      @@lucasaldi0 yeah the mooer radar is something I'd like to get for jamming and band practice if I get a HD500X

    Great tone, did you record the line 6 directly into your computer or did you plug into an amp?

  • @panasony23
    @panasony23 10 років тому

    do i need an expensive DAW to get this kind of recoding and mix? I suck at mixing and mastering and was wondering with the 500x could my recordings sound better? I'm using 30 SS practice amp with the metal zone. So would the 500x make a world of a difference? thx and btw, your tone was KILLER!!!

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  10 років тому

      Not at all! I use Reaper (DAW) and it´s free to use and cheap to buy the registered version. This kind of device (Line6 POD HD, BOSS GT´s and others)
      are great because you can record everything directly via USB with good quality. The challenge is to use and setup all of his features to make the tone you seek.

      thx man, much appreciated. I only ask if it will sound good is because I can't mix at all and the guitars always sound horrible, and the drums and bass guitar sound ok, but no real punch. thx again man

    What computer do you run? I have a major buzzing sound when I plug up my USB to my laptop.

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  10 років тому

      I used a generic notebook (Intel i3). I tested it on other computers and never had problems with noise or buzz, probably should be the settings for High Gain amplifiers, but also do some testing with other cables, guitars and audio settings.

      You may need to change the output to Line6HD500 in your audio settings.

    What do your eq controls look like? Don't seem to have a lot of mids but I could be wrong?..also did u use the screamer as a booster and an equal pedal?

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  9 років тому

      In this case I use the Tubescreamer with almost zero gain to push the Mesa Boogie simulation, I usually use the Mids by 5,5.

      Lucas Aldi nice playin man. I got no idea how ot use those programs. I downloaded reaper. I wanna do the " left " right " thing but i dont know how to. Let me ask u can u play with that left/right settings live? i mean first u record the guitar with left and then the right sound? or u can play them same time like 0:40 of ur video. is that u playing live or its play button after record. rip english

    • @lucasaldi0
      @lucasaldi0  9 років тому +1

      Thanks man. To do the Left/Right thing is simple, you need to record 2 separate guitar tracks normally (like live playing with 2 guitar players) and them set one guitar track 100% left (or less) and the other track at 100% right ("Pan" adjustment).

      Also, check the master settings. Output and whatnot. They make a huge difference. And do some deep editing with the models. I had to spend a few days just fucking with my HD500X. Sometimes things I thought would be logically sound, didn't go well, but maybe using a different cab or mic would make it great. I also like to work one thing at a time. I start ith the amp model, and get it where I want it, then add one effect at a time, taking out effects when adding another. I just think in a lot of cases, it can be overwhelming without going to a base level. Also, mess with splitting two amps in stereo. Even if it's the same model with EQ variations. Adds depth to the tone. Best luck.

    perdão, um esclarecimento no contexto: *clone do porta pro = clone do koss = fone.
    *caixa ativa csr 2500 -> ecomendaria você utilizar a saida de fones de sua pedaleira plugada em "line" in com conectores "balanceados" -> p10/RCA stereo. :-D

    This actually doesn't sound that good. It needs to be more tight. Tuning the guitar up usually makes thrash specifically sound better.
