Law enforcement officers pulled over a vehicle and attempted to infringe upon the rights of a passenger. The officer in question became agitated as a result of the individual's request for their name and badge number. This incident serves as a prime illustration of the importance of asserting one's rights and preventing law enforcement officials from overstepping their boundaries.
Welcome to the We The People University the home of the ID Refusal, where we provide education on various topics including law enforcement, constitutional law, government corruption, criminal defense, and police misconduct. Our goal is to empower individuals with knowledge to help them protect their rights as law-abiding citizens.

@Raul Aguilar not true at all. One or two manned cars depends on the budget/expenses and coverage for the district.
Two or more are used for training purposes, that's accurate for sure.
Almost all major cities use a two man system unless the expense aren't justified or available.
Within Los Angeles I lived in what was the richest city in LA. There they were a one man patrol and all but a small number were volunteers.
So, the expense and coverage, more speaking on department personnel numbers, it wasn't acceptable for two man teams to do.
Which, as a kid I found that to be odd...

Good job on explaining how judicial interpretation often matters more than the law on the books. Here in Nevada, there's a law saying that only one party on a phone call must consent to its recording. This aligns with federal law. However, the Nevada Supreme Court ruled that all parties must consent. This is now the law of the land -- despite that Nevada Revised Statutes still shows the law as originally written. (And for anyone who doesn't know, a state law may supersede federal law when the state law is more restrictive.)

I thought I would share this story because the officer actually did suspect me of committing a crime. I mostly did field work during my career and this particular morning I left my car in a commuter lot (which my state has on some highways). I also had the habit of leaving my wallet in my car. (In those days a money clip in my pocket.) A nearby convenience store called the police and reported for some unknown reason that I was apparently a thief having loaded my stuff from my car into another. About 10 miles down the highway the police stopped us. Instead of approaching the driver they approached me on the passenger side. "Do you know why we stopped you?" No. "Let me see your drivers license." It's in my car. "What do you drive?" A 1986 Mercedes Benz. They detained us a while and checked out the story. Evidently ran my plates then came back to ask my name. This was a case in which I actually did need to tell them my name and solve the whole situation.

I accidentally found out that a judge in Texas continues to sign off of on constitutional rights violations, regardless of what the supreme court says. Anyone within 50 miles of any border does not have constitutional rights to apply there, much like being on a military base. Does these within 50 miles of border also apply to military bases and other countries embassies here, as in like a border to another sovereign nation? If so, why are sovereign citizens laughed at?
In my opinion, it is all now double speak. Whatever works for them, against your best interests.

U.S. vs Lenderos: “After concluding that, “A demand for a passenger’s identification is not part of the mission of a traffic stop…. The identity of a passenger… will ordinarily have no relation to a driver’s safe operation of a vehicle,” the 9th Circuit panel proceeded to the government’s other rationales for demanding that passengers identify themselves, and for arresting them if they decline to do so:”

Unless the Texas law 38.02 has changed you are not required to ID unless you are being lawfully arrested. If you are driving you would be required to display a DL if the traffic stop is legal.
