I’m working on building my first WH40k army and I picked the tau and it’s really cool seeing what a 2000 point army actually looks like. Love the color scheme you went with.
Besides the devilfish, having 2 Riptides is overkill especially with 2 broadsides backing them up. Each Ghostkeel can take a team of Stealth suits to take points and cross enemy lines. This is a full front assault army hitting from every direction
Thanks for the video. I'm newer to 40K and Tau and it's helpful to start somewhere with list building. Would love to know your reason for not including Pathfinders. I hear so much that they are essential in competitive play.
They are included in the list. Their inclusion is mostly due to the “Grundy maneuver” which relies on darkstrider which is not included in my list. I suggest the puretide program on youtube if you wish to know more about the maneuver and why pathfinders are used check out his channel.
If you still have a save to roll you still do it. You declare if the damage goes through that you can turn it into zero. You do not ignore a save for zero damage.
@@treykenley3499you declare it as 0 damage when the attack is allocated. This happens after the wound roll. So you must declare it before rolling a save. It is a stupid rule that is bad for the Tyrannofex too. This is only really helpful for devastating wounds.

I ended up dropping the Broadsides after the points increases. There may not be room for the phrase too many riptides in 10th edtion Tau.
