So proud of your cooking skills my dear sis ❤ Trust me, you have empowered me!! Since I moved to Europe your videos have saved my life and my savings ❤ You’re the best 🥰🥰🥰 U NA WORLD BEST BOOOO 😂
@@tututv4328 I didn’t use a “brand”, just bought from regular Tola from the market (mostly not branded). If you’re having issues with that Nina brand, then ask family in SL to blend the original Tola seeds here and send them to you. Don’t know if you’ve Sierra Leonean… just guessing 🤣🤣
No we don’t add that to Tola. I learnt from the Mende’s (my mom’s tribe) and no they don’t add peanut butter to Tola. Some people do and I can’t say they’re doing something wrong, coz to each his own. But it taste better without peanut butter to me.
It's your voiceover and commentary for me 😂🤣😅. I love tola and this looks soo delicious 😋😋. You done cam gee me other wok back for came cook tola tiday 😅🤣. Great video sis!! 🥰
No please, we’re i come from we don’t add groundnut to Tola, when you do that it becomes less slimy. But I see some people do that and you can work with either of the methods, cooking is an art you can always add your twist. I’ll only say, try this and thank me later😋
If the person came from Sierra Leone he or she would know that's how we call it here...not because we don't know the english name...but bcoz that's how we met our people calling it.
Thank you so much Yes you can, I think Tola with peanut is common with the Northerners. Also it depends on what you’re looking for. If you don’t want the Tola to stretch/slimy you can add peanut( peanut butter makes it thick and it doesn’t “draw” much). If you want to achieve the best result (Tola that is really slimy, best for foo-foo then don’t add peanut)
The magic in Sierra Leonean cuisine along with much West African food is the use of assertively flavored aromatics such as ( palm oil, dry fish , dry chicken, bouillon cubes, and chilies giving it depth and mouth feel. ♥️
